Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the new Dio 125 in our market. This TVS Ntorq 125-rivalling scooter is available in two variants - standard and Smart - and seven colour options.
The mechanical specifications on the new Honda Dio 125 include an OBD2-compliant, 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power). This motor also benefits from a Honda ACG starter, improvised tumble flow, friction reduction and improved combustion, and solenoid valves.
Meanwhile, the styling cues are similar to the 110cc model, and the new Dio 125 comes with an apron-mounted headlight and front turn indicators, a sharp design for the body panels, a split-style pillion grab-rail, and a dual outlet exhaust with a heat shield. The colour palette comprises seven options - Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red.
Both, the base and Smart variants get an LED headlight, idling stop system, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam and passing switch, and a combined braking system. Then, the Smart Key variant further benefits from H-Smart technology that brings additional features such as smart find, keyless start, and security.
The shock absorption tasks on all variants are handled by telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable single rear spring. Meanwhile, the braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes. The Smart variant, in comparison, benefits from a petal-type front disc brake and a drum setup at the back.
Notably, both variants of the Honda Dio 125 are available with a special 10-year warranty package (three years standard and seven years optional extension).

The 2023 Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid has been launched in the Indian market with upgrades to comply with the newest norms. This scooter, which targets young buyers, retains the design of its predecessor. However, Yamaha Motor India has tweaked the colour palette and graphics for a refreshed look for 2023.
The mechanical specifications retain the 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection technology. This motor delivers a maximum output of 8bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm. For 2023, the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid series benefits from an OBD-II sensor and is compatible with E-20 fuel.
The styling, as mentioned earlier, remains unaltered, and the 2023 Yamaha Ray ZF 125 Fi Hybrid retains the aggressive design of its predecessor. The disc variants of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid gets the all-new Dark Matte Blue colour, while the Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid will be available in two new paint themes - Matte Black and Light Grey Vermillion. Further, the disc and drum variants of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid get new graphics in its existing colours - Matte Red, Metallic Black, and Cyan Blue.
The feature list on the 125cc hybrid scooter retains Bluetooth connectivity that works with the Y-Connect smartphone application. The Yamaha Y-Connect app includes a fuel consumption tracker, maintenance recommendations, last parking location, malfunction notification, revs dashboard, and rider ranking.

Where is Ntorq?
These scooters are not for racing but for city traveling at moderate speed. Purpose of these scooters is relaxed travel between point A to B without gear. I own RayZR street edition and quite satisfied with overall package.
Is it good in the longer run? Planning to buy one tomorrow? I mean, the servicing and refinement even after longer periods of use? That’s my main concern? Have you felt any loss in refinement or issues with the hybrid motor? Pls let me know!
@@goldenhonda6121 I am using it in full blown mumbai rains and till now not a single problem. Further in busy traffic of WEH, it is returning average of atheist 56kmpl after first servicing, so quite satisfy. One more thing its breaking is awesome..never faced any issue of skidding and all.
Handa's dio model comes to Turkiye as 110 cc. I noticed that some models never arrived. Yamaha Ray-Zr model has the same chassis, but even Dio's chassis is different in our country.
