Not to worry - the viewing experience was EDUCATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is infuriating that society should have to contend with these sorts of THUGS roaming about like rabid dogs while Woke Radicals and their LIE-beral allies seek to excuse the thugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problems you are having ARE NO WORSE than those in any other western democracy with a high number of Woke and LIE-beral politicians!!!!!!!!!!!
Here in Canada - a new report has been issued revealing that ONE THIRD of all the Cdn murder victims in the last year were killed by PEOPLE OUT ON BAIL for various other violent crimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet Cdn LIE-beral;s and their Woke allies have just presented a new report detailing how they want to FURTHER GUT the legal system - by making bail even easier to get and by REDUCING SENTENCES for various crimes such that the prison population WILL BE REDUCED BY THIRTY PERCENT..........................
and of course LIE-berals want to REDUCE POLICE BUDGETS EVEN FURTHER so that thugs of the kind that attacked you can operate more easily here in Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see you are recovering well. I got punched in the face by a random thug myself in broad daylight during a normal workday. The man tried to king hit me with no provocation or warning outside the KFC near the Flinders Street Station exit on Elizabeth Street. Police told me it happens all the time apparently. Like yourself I got a nice black eye and my glasses were completely busted. Despite the plethora of cameras in the area and the fact that I am sure the individual was known to the police, no arrests were made. The first policeman actually tried to dissuade me from logging an incident, saying that nothing would happen anyway. I insisted that it be logged, so that at least the statistics show the stark reality and I am pleased to report that during my follow up meeting with a young female officer, I received far more help and empathy. However, I still never heard back from the police on the matter and gave up on justice. The CBD is now for the thugs, druggies and the homeless, I won't go back there for work or socialising unless I absolutely have to. Hope you never have to suffer this indignity again mate. The way Australian police and law handle teenage criminals is a joke. Those teenagers need more "education".
Another lesson from this incident is to never show your belongings to strangers if they ask. They have no right to make such a request. If they insist, ask them to call the police.
All train stations, especially major ones, are not safe during off-peak periods. Be cautious and prepared to take action if you need to go there.

As a teenager in Australia, I'm genuinely scared by the level of violence perpetrated by other teenagers my age. It's deeply concerning for the future of our country. It's appalling that there are often no police or security nearby to seek refuge at train stations, and the fact that such criminal acts by teenagers aren't taken seriously is truly disgusting. @@scottnewton9619that's unfortunate to hear mate. Following an experience like that I can understand where you're coming from but I can also understand where the person you replied to is coming from. Thankfully, Australia is still an extremely safe country, despite the doom fap narrative the media love to project upon society. For every instance that occurs between strangers daily, yours and this content creator's experience is the event that occurs in the percentages of a percent case.
It's disgusting, weak and morally reprehensible behaviour, absolutely! But in life we all have a time of genuine need via a stranger, and if we all behaved in the manner you're suggesting, society and the life experience on the whole, will be the one worse of because of it.
Please don't think I'm dismissing, or downplaying your personal reaction following your physical assault and robbery. I've had a similar 'ish' experience but with a knife being pulled on me, thankfully with no physical assault occuring.
What's funny is, its at this very station earlier this year I encountered one of those 'moments' where you feel, 5hit might be about to go 'sideways' here. Call it experience, luck, fate or a even a personal misconception, you may have experienced it yourself, but it's like a sense of darkness completely takes over the atmosphere or something. I quickly realised that hold on...these two think I'm the prey. Immediately in that split second, I took control of the situation and flipped the switch, defusing any ideas these other two had. Even the other bloke I was talking to before and during this happened said, 'that was weird asf man, I don't if they had something planned like a set up or what but that wasn't the norm'. Im just like, 'i know bro, the spider senses went off like an alarm all of a sudden and hence me kinda flicking like a light, who knows 🤷, very strange though".

Oh man Australia's education system is so fucked. I have an American mate in my school who commented that at times, year 9 math seemed like if it was about year 5 math level in the USA. It's improper education and spoiling parents and their shitty manners that drives teenagers to do crazy shit like that. I remembered when I was in year 8, about 2 of my 6 best mates did fuckin drugs, and that scared me so bad I ended my relationship immediately with them. Also the Australian law systems! Oh, teenagers are so unrestricted in here it's like if all teenagers are prisoners, and the whole fucking world is their prison. Cuz they've already committed enough crimes and shit that now they don't care what they do, because they're already recieving their life sentence, except that this is the fucking reality, and the goverments don't give a shit about what teenagers do, it's like they've been granted the pass to bring hell onto Earth!
Sorry that I've talked so much bullshit about teenagers. It just gets me really emotional when I hear the topic.
Anyways stay safe, and I love you my friend.

About 15 Somalian kids in a group, chased me for like 500 meteres but I just about managed to evade them, I entered a building and screamed random names(“Tony, Jason come out and help me”) to give the impression that I knew people in there that were going to help me, the boys turned back coz of that. There was no one there, it was the campus building for some random college.
I called 000, cops turned up in about 20 minutes and luckily were able to spot them, I then went to the station to give a statement and called back regularly to see what they were doing about it..
Only 4 of them were summoned to court for actually assaulting someone earlier that morning and I don’t know what happened after that.
Soon Au will turn into London and the rest of Europe.

I'm an international student and recently experienced a violent and racist attack at Southern Cross station. This guy started hurling abuses at me, and when I asked him why he was mad, he punched me out of nowhere. I tried to stall him until the platform police could arrive, but he kept punching, kicking, and even threatened to kill me. At that point, I had to defend myself, so I started hitting back. The fight went on for about 3 minutes, and eventually, he tried to walk away.
I called 000, but while I was looking at my phone, he suddenly ran at me and punched me in my right eye, causing multiple fractures to the orbital bone. The police witnessed this last part of the assault as they were trying to catch him (thanks to bystanders who might have alerted them).

Crime epidemic in Melbourne is spiralling out of control. The justice system is not meeting the needs of society and teenage crims are met with slap on the wrist.

Ngl I thought my mum was just being overprotective in saying I shouldn’t be going into the city at night especially if I’m not in a group, but right now it’s seeming like stuffs actually kinda bad right now

@@nathanolson3135 I’m not I’m just saying there was some truth to my mum’s concern… and even if someone’s a ‘wuss’, I don’t think people should be so quick to judge them, they’re just tryna live to see another day, and whether that day is more boring than someone that isn’t a ‘wuss’ probably doesn’t concern them as much. But nah if my mum makes it clear she doesn’t want me doing something, even if I think it’s silly, and I provide reasoning against it, I try to respect her wishes. I believe in The Lord Jesus Christ, and He says to honour your father and mother.

@@ivwvyThat's an absolute overreaction - Melbourne is still one of the safest cities in the world, in the grand scheme of things.
Like any city, just don't show a sketchy stranger in a cap and a hoodie your phone at 6am. Just pretty logical, really.

@@Wintermute-088but there’s also the fact to consider that even if you ignore someone sketchy looking that’s asking you for something and you try moving away from them, they still might follow you!

Rory, I am sorry that you experienced such a terrible incident at Southern Cross Station. I live in Brunswick, Melbourne and feel deeply sorry that someone visiting Melbourne was attacked in what should be a safe public space. Thank you for sharing your story. I am writing to my local state member to highlight the security risk of no security staff at Southern Cross so that he can ask the Victorian premier why there is this security flaw. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your time in Melbourne and don't adjust your itinerary due to this experience. Sebastian, Brunswick/Merri-bek, Naarm/Melbourne

This is terrible Rory. I am so sad to hear this happened to you and very sad that there are people that would do this to another person. I am even more concerned as a fellow Melbourne resident. We need to take a long hard look at ourselves as a society to see why incidents like this happen and do everything we can to try and stop them ever happening again. I am glad you are recovering. Looking forward to more of your excellent videos.

I loved Melbourne in the 80's. I used to often walk down to the Shrine by myself in the evening and chat with the guards then walk down through the park to St Kilda Rd and hop on a tram home. It was even not too bad when I lived there again in the early 2000's, though getting shabby.
I have lived in Tassie for the past 20 years and I now loath Melbourne on the rare occassions I go through it. I have to do so again in September - via Southern Cross and I was already worried. I won't be there that early but I was already planning on having my head on a swivel before I saw this. It really is frightening.
I'm so glad you weren't seriously injured. There really should be police all over that place. It's a good lesson for all of us though, so thank you for sharing.
