Two words. Online gaming. Back 10 years ago, MyCareer was your hot game mode. Today, it's online multi-player. When you give the player the ability to literally buy your success in the game, you drop the sliders to score an ungodly amount of points right off the rip when that wouldn't happen. These storylines would make a little more sense had they been implemented in 2k10-2k11 where you couldn't "pay to play" for online gaming

Personally I’d rather them just drop the game with no story and focus the resources elsewhere. Maybe a cutscene here and there for milestones, but we don’t need to be held up by a poorly written story we care nothing about.

Two words. Online gaming. Back 10 years ago, MyCareer was your hot game mode. Today, it's online multi-player. When you give the player the ability to literally buy your success in the game, you drop the sliders to score an ungodly amount of points right off the rip when that wouldn't happen. These storylines would make a little more sense had they been implemented in 2k10-2k11 where you couldn't "pay to play" for online gaming

Remembering 2k21 when i was a PG who was averaging 30ppg, 9apg, 2bpg, and 2spg and social media people complains that you either don't pass or pass too much even if you have 10 assists or 5 assists in both situations and then when hendrixx cobb scores a single point they go "Wow!
