I really like the cyclone, but the price seems too much for what you get.
Only getting 3-4 shots in the chamber before reloading doesn't feel good in a lot of fights. I think either a lower price or higher ammo capacity would give it more staying power. Hopefully they'll just drop the price at some point.
Frankly, most times, i'd rather take the silenced vetterli than the cyclone.

If you’re super accurate- that’s 2 ppl downed in one magazine. Normally, I get at least one person with a 4 shot volley. It’s balanced in the firepower department but the price could come down to the 300-400 hunt dollar range
god please dont give it a bigger mag but rather a bit more ammo xD the cyclone is really nothing to mess with, a good player can wipe an entire team with those 4 bullets in just seconds xD
@@RSCALES11 i think the 200-250 mark is more accurate, as the centenial is the best competitor or the regular veterli, those are 100 and 150 hunt dollars

I think the 2nd game is truly how you’re supposed to use the Cyclone. I’ve only ever used it once when I picked it up, but after watching this I’m going to give it a try. You truly deserve more viewers, Peeb. Great content as always!
I'm a huge vetterli nut hugger easily one of my favorite guns in game, but the cyclone. The cyclone at its core is a three slot rifle that spams bullets with a unpleasant reload at empty. Reliable two tap especially with fmj clocking in at 535 hunt dollars. You know what else is a spammy three slot gun with a reliable two tap with a painful reload at empty the Officer carbine and clocking in at 180, but call it 230 because your gonna run special ammo clocks in at half the price.
I think the main problem of the Cyclone is that it gets almost completely over shadowed by the Officer Carbine. Both guns have a similar damage stat and fall-off, the officer has more ammo, less recoil, a faster rate of fire, worse iron sights, etc.
I'm 100% sure Crytek over-nerfed the gun because it'd be an extremely broken weapon if they made it too strong, sorta like the CSGO R8 fiasco back in 2015.
I think the best way to buff it is to bump its damage up to 130, that way the gun will actually feel powerful at longer ranges over its compact ammo counterpart
I like the cyclone a lot. It shoots as fast as a Centennial with levering. But you can ads. Biggest downside is that its pricy enough to make me not wanna buy it every single round. And I definitely like it more than the drilling (2 more bullets is better than a toggle shotugn, imo)
It's like a Drilling with 4 rounds, or a levering centennial with ads, or a medium ammo nagant officer carbine, all weapons I like.

@@anteeantee8144 me! It's extremely effective close range, with a faster TTK than anything other than a OHKO or fanning. It's basically like adding a Caldwell Rival 78 to your loadout for one perk.

As a console player myself i can say it has a bonus appeal since it’s harder to go for headshots here and we rather go double tap to the chest since it’s harder to be precise with controller (compared to keyboard & mouse, or maybe I just need to get gud). Also regarding the comments it should be 2 slot weapon; even-though it looks like a short vetterli, I think it would be not balanced since it doesn’t handle like a stockless rifle (medium centenial, medium mossin etc.). Surely price can go at least lower than mossin and lebel maybe just above krag so that we don’t feel like spending our kids college savings to get the gun. Recoil is also something you should get used to since it’s not 100% like vetterli and I would advise players to act like it is a totally brand new gun. Lastly, for the special ammo I think high velocity ammo is a no go for this gun if you are planning to spam it and fire ammo could be a niche choice burning people bars up fast after the conclusion of event and we get rid of bloody blazeborne. Well this is the comment section and that’s just a subjective opinion :)

i think if they either lowered its price to like 350 or so or increased its ammo capacity to at least 5, it would be fantastic
as a VERY proud vetterli hater (the sights are the worst in the game and its NOT close imo) i think the cyclone is pretty good actually. I usually play it with a spitfire and fmj in both since u go through ammo like a mf and i believe the spitfire brings u up to 32 reserve if i remember correctly. I have also been playing a specter compact with flechette both of which kind of help with the limited ammo (being good close range and finishing people off that you hit, also specter flechette just has natural synergy with rifles with the bleed). I think its a very competitive gun close and mid range and if ur gods gift to gaming and actually know how to aim with vetterli sights (i am not) even at long range with good 2 tap and headshot range with fmj ammo. I do think the price is a little high still but there def is a niche where the cyclone is very good. For a vid like this playing in a little higher mmr lobbies mightve been good because it shows the flaws that the gun does have a little more, but good video still.
The big con for the cyclone is the poor hip fire accuracy. Good hip fire accuracy is a defining feature of the Vetterli that got lost in translation.
Well, it's competing against the dolch and Officer Carbine realistically. In terms of user-friendly aspects, it's at the bottom of two tap weapons including some secondaries in handling/visual recoil, and shares a commonly utilized range with a great many secondaries and serves a similar function for a 3 slot. On paper, it has high potential, especially with its effective range and velocity. It's the best gun in the game for about 3 shots, and the last makes the pressure of having precise rapid fire at mosin ranges a small advantage that is mitigated by it visual recoil. It's a master of all, master of none type of scenario. Middling in everything, and balanced almost perfectly to perform about average in every setting. Its also for those who want to spend more time reloading than shooting, and thats not in the least appealing. 😊
Yeah they did the cyclone and the LeMat Upper dirty. Both are really cool but destroyed by their price tags and build in nerfs. No reason the cyclone should do 124, but especially for that price tag. And then the LeMat upper does everything worse than the Uppercut Precision besides the ammo capacity and shotgun mode... but costs more.
Price is why I don't use Cyclone, Drilling or UpperMat.
Too expensive for what they are. At over $500 hunt dollars I'd just buy a meta long ammo gun.
UpperMat is completely invalidated by uppercut precision and precision deadeye being added. And even beforehand I think it is too expensive. The fact it was basically a bulkier Uppercut that takes 2 slots should have made it cheaper than the uppercut IMO. It's competing with mini mosin and now the 2slot upprcuts.

I like that they take some liberties with the mods on guns. The lamat pistol is a great example, original was a breach loader.
Another great example is the uppercut. I was originally a breach loader as well (I think it was called the colt ranger) and was basically a pocket rifle. Colt ultimately changed the design because it was known to explode if loaded incorrectly.
cool stuff. Hunt sometimes is like: What if they kept innovating this idea? I'm here for it.
I think the intro clip sums it up. Hit your shots and the spam isnt needed, or really worth the price tag.
I'm going to run it nonstop to give it a good try. I like that they make three new weapons expensive so it doesn't become omnipresent during events, but it would be great if they adjusted afterwards. I don't even think it needs a buff, if it were 50-100 cheaper I think folks would give it more of a try.

Certainly the weirdest thing about the Cyclone to me is the mag size and how it functions as such. I don't know numbers, but the animation and all, reloading that 4th bullet just feels nasty. So if you ask me, it's actually more like 3 bullets before you have to reload, shooting that 4th bullet only in absolute emergencies. Which.... makes it pretty bad. It's like an avtomat except with 1 burst, and less damage... Though maybe I'm on crack saying that LOL
currently, the gun is over nerfed:
it has a weird horizontal recoil pattern that is unique
the price imo should be 3x base vetterli price and no more than 410
my only real problem with this thing is that in all encounters, this is effectively a 3 shot gun, that you have to constantly top up to avoid the full reload which is annoying
the 3 +1 is so low its ridiculous, especially since there would be no real reason for it irl,
at the very least they should add one more round to the magazine and i could live with all the rest of its shortcomings

Yeah weapon is really fun to use..but the problem is that you need fmj most of the time to get all weapon bonuses..without it dmg drop off feels really huuge. and its already 600 $ cost. Fire rate insane..and you can use it without fmj in any close medium range fights, but what reason if you have many weapons wich can go better on this distances. Officer|Lemat Carbines and other. For 600$ cost you able to buy any good long ammo rifle with much less dmg drop off and much more usefull velocity just create another cheap build wich gonna cost around 600$.
As for me i m really enjoying this weapon and grabbing sometimes when have extra money and really wanna to play something fun and different.

Upd: imo cyclone staying in same spot as springfield krag.. fun to use..insane rate of fire..but you not able to oneshot 125 hp target and cost same as other rifles in this category wich havnt this ammo-dmg problems+ ammo problems all the time with this spam gameplay
gun feels fine, mag is a little low plus the 4th bullet is a 2nd reload, unless you reload every 3 shots or less. and the thing I hate about it the most is the sights, I know its the original vetterli sights, but for a gun that you need to spam, I feel a pointy sight is more suitable for easier aiming after every shot, muhc like the officer carbine with a 3 prong sight and the middle one is taller. here the middle on is smaller plus the space you get from the rear and front sight is too small.
I think the cyclone is well balanced, glad it’s not used more tbh
For the price of cyclone I would pick the Drilling. Sure you only have 2 shots before reload but you also have a shotgun going with it. I would not pick the Cyclone at this price point. I would put it into the $300 ish range. It is just too expencive for what it is. You might as well pick up Officer Carbine... you get the same thing for way less money.
Drilling reload also doesn't take ages

I like Cyclone but I cannot afford it. I don't get why other players don't use it. Like... at all. There are lots of huners in the bayou who has no problem with money. Drilling is also expensive but I'm able to collect those as a contraband items and have a Drilling Evening once in a while. Not sure why Cyclone is so less popular. It's a good gun, pretty unique and versatile. I wish people use it more often so I can also can have a Cycple Evenings once in a while.

I've seen it once. 2 tapped me before I could get into cover. Rule breaker guns should be expensive. But probably not this expensive.
My personal opinion about the cyclone is that it doesn't really feel like it deserves or needs to be in the game. Authenticity to the time of Hunt isn't exactly what Crytek is following strictly, but having more semi-auto guns like the cyclone isn't exactly the best for the game.
Price to dmg output ratio. DEv think firerate is worth it. Its not. I like the gun, but like 400 would be my price.
I love the vetterli but i dont like this one, yes you shoot faster but you lose 40% of the "magazine", and the price is way up is the same reason i dont use the drilling, i stay with the basic or use the centenial with the new bleed ammo

I honestly think the cyclone overall stats wise is a good gun. Its a spam weapon, but its a spam weapon that doesn't let you get away with playing sloppy due to its ammo capacity. However I do agree the price is just not there. Its good, but its not 400+ hunt dollars good. If they dropped it to around 250 to 300 I think it would be perfectly fine.
i like how cyclone work but lesser ammo capacity just because u can fire faster is not worth the trade off when you are a solo fighting 2 or 3 hunters at the same time. the most time i will be doing is reloading instead of putting some pressure on enemies like Cyclone's Cousin. if anything i felt like cyclone is a downgrade than a side-grade

i feel like high recoil and low ammo + load time are its biggest downfalls
recoil makes me shoot slower than firerate lets me, pairing it up with low ammo and hefty load time if completely empty makes me wanna use it like a regular vetterli, make my shots count
if i'm gonna use a gimmick vetterli i might aswell use a suppressed veterli so they at least don't know where i am
It's a nice weapon. But it cost like a basic long ammo. Yes, high firerate and all other things. But for 500 hundred they could give it one more bullet. At 300/350 dollars it could have a nice spot. good weapon as it is, but for the meta is a niche one. But a reload with 3 bullet from the empty magazine( the 4th need's extra time to reload) makes it bad. with a 6 total capacity (or 59 it could be interesting. But as it is it's noth worth of 500 (considering lebel at 400 and somenthing and mosin at sam price, both slower but better).
Good showcase of the weapon! I'm not a big fan of it personally, because I've been let down by it in so many situations where I absolutely know a regular Vetterli would have finished the job, but maybe ill try to give it another go, especially when the event is over and some of the special ammo is a bit more viable.

It’s used SO MUCH on console, PC it’s rarely used
iron sights alone make it unusable for me. i like the gun but way too expensive plus those sights. dont matter what the stats are if im unable to hit anything with it.

I think the biggest problem with the Cyclone is that it's a 3-space weapon instead of a 2-space one. Why take a weapon with less capacity when I could take a full-sized rifle in its place. If it took two spaces, it would compliment the bow beautifully.
it's right fo the space. At 3 you could run nitro plus ciclone. Or a shotgun plus cyclone. Good at 3. maybe less price (350?) could be a good buff.

...the Gear Fear is real though, 500 a pop is a lot to spend on a gun for a 1.58-ish K/D player like me. Unless I win constantly it'll be hard to recoop the losses from one lost match with one in my loadout.
It's the same with the Drilling, I just try to steal as many as I can.

Its a good weapon but the price is eh, you would rather buy any winny with levering to be cheap or just cash out for a long ammo instead

cyclone ddn't lost it's appeal but I need to run guns that help me complete my challenges. When I need a Vetterli, I always rather go supressed
because of the sh.tty iron sight. They should have fix it by now.
we will see when the event stops and these guns will go into the library I feel like the cyclone is balanced but I don't like the fact that guns like this come to Hunt Showdown and I have over 3.5k hours even the carbine officer it's very annoying and very deadly in a compound range the thing is when you're fighting against this kind of weapons that should so fast you cannot compete even if they don't hit your head they will hit multiple times your body and they will stress you out and probably their teammates will finish you
It’s just the same issue with the drilling, it’s way over valued. Lower the prices of these guns they aren’t that crazy

as it is 500 dollars for a vetterli thats arguably worse than stock is questionable, not sure why crytek keep adding fun new toys with gigantic price tags that prevent us from using them.

Because it’s semi automatic. On another note The drilling is high cost cause it’s got 3 barrels. Ultimately the versatility alone on these guns is exceptional. Just cause it doesn’t one tap or feel like an innate extension of your arm when handling them. Doesn’t make them bad. It makes them specializations and the specializations they have are strong. I do agree though the price could be adjusted however.

Just a solo... Yeah it's just someone queued into teams with lower mmr than them and has access to things teams don't have like self revive and double dark sight time. Not to mention if they are queueing solo they at last somewhat believe in their own capability which is something I could never personally do and horrifies me every time I face it. Just a solo.

Nobody uses it because it's a variant of a $100+ gun that costs $500+. It's overpriced like the drilling. Price go down, pick rate go up.
I think that I’m of the opinion that the cyclone is balanced to slightly under powered unit because of the price tag. If they dropped the price to around 300$ it would probably be in the perfect spot balance wise
They're just way too expensive tbh. Way over priced for what I'm actually getting from it. I'd rather put my money into a Krag or Berthier.
