Purchased four AMAZING AND RARE Willie Mays Cards to my Collection!

I was incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to buy four rare Willie Mays Cards to my collection! I was pretty quiet during the process as it was a process. I share the story from its initial phase all the way to its completion, which was today!
I have had my eye on a lot of these rare Willie Mays cards for a while and to have the opportunity to buy them all at once is absolutely phenomenal!

Pinhole for the win!! You can do a floating frame for the Laughlin, Sammy! See thru glass on both sides when you take it down. That’s what I would look into! So cool - I learned so much about that set from your journey - I’m so happy for you, dude. Congratulations!!!

Those are some beautiful rare Mays pieces. Love the Chesterfield advertisement . At that time everybody smoked and there are others with Williams, Musial etc. To frame your Laughlin, I would have it clear on the back also. I have a President Madison document that I had framed that way so I could read both sides not just the autograph. I hear your excitement in your new acquisitions. Enjoy and Congratulations.

Super happy for you, Sammy. Fantastic pieces! If you frame the standup, I would make it clear on both sides so you can look at the back without taking it out. It would be some work, but someone may be able to cut out a matting that would encompass the standup, but would be the color you want being seen from the front. Just because a player advertised for cigarettes of Coke doesn’t mean they actually used the product. Congratulations.

Awesome Mays pieces Sammy! Regarding the Laughlin Super Standup, you can also cutout the mat around the signature on the back. Since it's on the back of the standup, it should not show through on the front.

Nice pickups. If you dont mind oversized Willie Mays items, consider newspapers and photos, as well. Lots of stuff out there to be had. I managed to grab a newspaper with mention of his debut, as well as the newspaper mentioning his first hit as a homerun off Warren Spahn. Definitely oversized items, but unique and rare. Theyre also surprisingly very cheap.
