I love these stories about parents. They are hilarious! This was so healing for me. It felt like a therapy session. I have similar experiences with my mom - she's an Asian immigrant. Came from Vietnam. I am going through the healing, accepting, and letting go process of the choices she made and trying to understand her and understand her love for me. This really helped. My mom doesn't know how to express her feelings and address the deep issues. Thank you for this.

THIS. Thank you for having such real conversations and about this perspective too. Kinda going hand in hand with this talk about immigrant parents and seeing them as people, I highly recommend the book, "The Best We Could Do" by Thi bui. This was a great episode guys, I laughed till I cried and then I actually started crying 😂.....but real talk though I have a messed up relationship with my father and he's 75, I'm 20, mom passed earlier this year and he's the only family I got besides my brother who doesn't live in my state, I realize he's old and it's hard to get a long with an old cranky mexican man, but hearing your guys talk about a relationship with your parents made me feel a little better about how hard I'm trying to be close to him. I guess I needed to hear from someone else that he isn't gonna change and honestly it felt good hearing that only because I've been wishing so hard for him to be the dad I always wanted and not accepting him for him. Thanks for putting good shit out.
