It seems that as the years go by, new artists, even with all the technology in their favor, are unable to surpass the brilliant and creative minds of the creators of the 80s.
They are trying to dumb children down by doing not only a watered down version but a simply dumber one. That's a shame. I grew up on the 1985 one and that's the only one my son would watch. This is frankly despicable.

As much as I sing the praises of the 2011 show in regards to the writing, one criticism I can level against it is the intro sucked when compared to the original. The fanmade one in this video makes me wish that was the intro it had!
I have only seen a few episodes of Thundercats Roar and it's not bad as a comedy show, but it has ruined the image I had of Thundercats as an epic action adventure series from watching the 1985 and 2011 Thundercats shows
My thing is, why? Why was it made? Couldn't they do something like make a comedy show about some cats in a neighborhood that had a secret double life as heroes? Make something new. It's like if you took "The Flinstones" and made them a serious caveman drama with life and death struggles. It misses the point.
