Somehow I get the distinct impression this isn't a weekend DIY project. Incredible piece of work.
The smell of all that cedar must have been amazing.
Always blows my mind when the gloss goes on and accentuates the deep finish.
The crafsman has amazing skills and tool control! That was a work of art both in creation and final piece.
A Beautiful piece of Art.
That is very skilled craftsmanship!
Wonderful! Such talent!
Makes me think of what Michelangelo said asked how he got so good at creating his stuff. He said he didn't create anything, he just needed to (essentially) get the other stuff out of the way from the final product. Awesome stuff dude.
Similar story.... A sculptor was asked how he was able to carve such a lifelike horse ...he answerwd....Simple I just removed the parts that dont look like a horse . Lol .
Absolutely Gorgeous piece!!! This man is a MASTER woodsmith!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic job!
Yeah and with the chippings he can glue it together to make a night stand to put it on.
This piece is beautiful
Stunningly beautiful! 👍
It's BEAUTIFUL, I figured you were going to make a pedistol when you kept most of it intact.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿✨
The author does like to from scratch, czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
THAT!!!! IS AMAZING!!! What! An amazing piece of woodworking art!! Mind BLOWN 🤯
Magnificent in every way!
How you did the flowered top. Nicely done!
Finally someone who preps their wood before turning, instead of trying to prolong the video just because.
Such a nice piece. And spectacular footage.
This is absolutely gorgeous. Now that I see how much craftsmanship goes into wood working, I will definitely complain a little less about how much it costs. lol
Excellent !!
Perfect.Lovely !!
Absolutely stunning!
Beautiful work.
Another stunning example of your skill, what a beautiful looking object! Well done buddy..
You would need a mortgage to buy that piece of wood in the Uk, beautiful work.
Doesn’t UK believes in stealing ?
I live in Northern California. People clear those off property and throw it in the wood chipper. Not me. I hear a chain saw and i go looking for the project to see what wood they’re cutting. Never pay for it.
That’s why we fought a revolution against you. 🇺🇸
God Bless the Creators. They make the world a beautiful place!
Absolutely magnificent! I would love to have it in my home ❤️
Beautiful
I would LOVE the smell in that room!
That is awesome! Amazing skills! Would make an awesome lamp. and not much more work to give it that functionality!
It is so beautiful
Well done. This is how a log should be presented to the lathe. Very rare to actually see that. You obviously value your health.
Absolutely gorgeous. Would love to own this piece. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He is the real ARCHITECT
hatsoff!!!
Very nice ,why'd you drill out the one end, what's it gonna be used for?
The hole is for dried flowers, it's a vase.
Wow, gorgeous. What could he do with a fancy new lathe?
Would be nice to see two or four redwood pillars (10'-12' long, 24" diameter) holding up the second floor landing of a elaborate wooden staircase.
Фунты,дюймы-у всего мира метры с сантиметрами,а вы застряли не пойми где
He made that look easy of course years of learning his craft, amazing, what is the piece for. I thought it might be the leg of a full-size snooker table, then a massive chess piece, or a center leg for some sort of table. But then the design on the top left me with knowing what it is specifically for.
MARAVILHOSO
Whatever this wood is, it is stunning!
Redwood
Absolutely beautiful! Love that color.
Such a dope video. What is that though, just art or like a lamp or what? I gotta know😮
You're good. God has blest you with a wonderful gift... bless His holy name
Un bonito trabajo me encanta gracias por compartir👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great job beautiful work
Obra de arte de quem sabe o que faz. Parabéns!!! God bless you.
OMG! This is absolutely gorgeous! When someone has this magnitude of talent, it's guaranteed it all comes naturally to him. Didn't have to be taught, just knew what to do and that's amazing! Keep it up and thanks for sharing your beautiful creations with us. Loving it in Louisiana! 💜💜💜💜
That is exquisite piece you made out of red wood. B E A U T I F U L! Where can someone purchase some of your pieces. My admiration to the crafter. 😊❤❤❤❤❤
nice ash tray
That turned out great. Very nice.
Good work i like this
Thanks for share 😊
Nice wood work
I was wondering how many woodworkers are injured when the piece flies off the holding bits when it's moving so fast?
عمل جيد جداً رائع ومفيد وممتع مرحبا انا من العراق أرحب بك
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Outstanding work .
I can send here from Brazil, a closed container with stumps of (Cabreuva / Santos Mahogany) with a maximum length of 1.9m.
The requirement of our legislation here is that you remove all the skin (you cannot export it with the skin).
To travel with bark, you would have to obtain a special permit. It is a time-consuming process, but it is also a possibility.
It so nice , but what is it exactly, would be a beautiful lamp ?!
very instructive. what beauty we can create if that is our focus.
Gorgeous work
He puts the same design on the end of everything he makes
master craftsman
You are correct , it is not a red wood tree, could be a Douglas fir, looking at the bark, but a dugfir\ is not typically that colour
Good video. Beautiful work.
That's a work of art
That’s beautiful
It appears the turner is using nothing but scrapers? Where are the bowl gouge, spindle gouge??
I have been putting off watching this video for a while needless to say I was pleasantly surprised instead of looking like a sculptured Hunk of bread would it look more like a glazed porcelain vase
Need a bigger lathe. I want a chess set this size now.
Bravo Zulu!
Beautiful !!!!
wonderful work ❤
will our videos go viral?
Redwood is soft. Must be a different wood with a red color. Perhaps red cedar. Either wood is quite pricey.
thats a nice plug
Really great job! Excellent craftsmanship.
It would be helpful if you could post the time it took to produce this and how much would it sell for (in US dollars). Thanks.

That was heinous.
Either that is really hard wood or that chainsaw needs sharpening.
Woohoo brilliant piece i just love it 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍👍.Ernie smith from brisbane Australia
Is he making a huge chess piece, a king or queen? A pawn?
Modify a newborn baby fuzzy sock over the end of microphone on the phone to reduce wind noises
Capolavoro!!!!!✨
That just blew my mind
That's beautiful
very nice admin
Uma obra de arte parabéns muito bonito.
Como se pueden tranformar en Maravillosas piezas de arte fino, un trozo de tronco de algun arbol, pero el tipo de madera debe ser el adecuado, y especial sus betas tan bonitas .
Opino
Peter Henry Aylwin Del Rio
Incredibly dangerous i assume
Good video
What a crime to spray artificial laquer on such beautiful piece of timber.. Sand and polish it then oil with natural oils so that you can still smell the wood and feel it.
"Напряжение" надо было снять- вгутренне иначе изделие полопается. Работа га смарку.
You are an artist! Beautiful work, I have subscribed! It was a pleasure watching you!
What’s the bet the top gets scalloped - again?
Very Nice. Australian Red Cedar, was logged to almost non-existant. Poaching still happens for it, but not as much. $5800 USD per foot. $17,500 USD per meter.
That's beautiful and it might be red wood but it's not redwood.
Из такого шикарного дерева сделать такую ХРЕНЬ!
Yikes! Need to sharpen that chain, mate!
Mantap bro
What type, size of lathe is this?
Nicely done bro.
Topping it of with some Bluegrass at d end 👏 😅
A beauty
❤big, beautiful ❤
Indeed there is a difference between the three Sequoia species and red oak.
You couldn't be more right. This piece in question is a red color. But it isn't from those Sequoia species usually know as "Redwoods." Some posts (below) say this piece is rare red cedar. I don't know.
