The “cupped hand blow” is a powerful tool when used correctly. An open hand strike, it’s used to compress air into the ear canal and damage the eardrum resulting in excruciating pain and vertigo, loss of balance, etc.

We did this strike in taijutsu a lot. It was called the “happoken” and we did it usually as a counter to a double collar grab. Excellent content as always on this channel

This works on drugged effected too. If the ear drum bursts, they lose balance and fall down.
