Cops Raid Home to Find Sick 2-Year-Old

  • With guns drawn, a SWAT team raided an Arizona family's home, breaking down the door and barging in, because the parents didn't take their toddler son to the emergency room. It began when the boy's mother, Sarah Beck, took him to the doctor with a high fever. Beck's son, Heber, is not vaccinated and the doctor was fearful he might be suffering from meningitis amid outbreaks around the country. It was recommended that Heber be taken to the ER. After Beck left with Heber, she said, he got better. #InsideEdition

      Cristina Prodan they really don’t. I remember w n I was 8 calling the police myself and they took an hour to even get there and when they got here my dad (the guy who had been hitting me) just talked to them at the door for like 2 minutes then left. Then I got more punishment for calling. I didn’t go to school for weeks and when I did I still had bruises o tried telling my teachers what my dad Did but they shoved it off as “discipline” and said I was exaggerating the beatings I was getting.

    • @minisciencedude
      @minisciencedude Před 4 lety +50

      The problem comes when differentiating between a disciplinary action and actual abuse. Being spanked and smacked isn't itself a form of a abuse. Cops do respond to child abuse and neglect when its confirmed, but you don't tend hear about them doing so since its a deeply private and personal situation for the victims and they dont tend to talk about it. Just look at the foster care system. A good portion of those kids tend to be victims of abuse.

      @Robert Valitsky Umm, actually your temperature can go down. Meningitis or even a regular fever causes rises in temperature’s to fight infectious bacteria or fungi which will mean, eventually the infection is dying. But even though it may be dying it can easily rebound and soar to higher temperatures than before if left untreated and cause even greater pain.
