Cops Raid Home to Find Sick 2-Year-Old

- With guns drawn, a SWAT team raided an Arizona family's home, breaking down the door and barging in, because the parents didn't take their toddler son to the emergency room. It began when the boy's mother, Sarah Beck, took him to the doctor with a high fever. Beck's son, Heber, is not vaccinated and the doctor was fearful he might be suffering from meningitis amid outbreaks around the country. It was recommended that Heber be taken to the ER. After Beck left with Heber, she said, he got better. #InsideEdition
I wish cops would act like this for severe child abuse cases
Shots fired!
They do if the have a complane..Stop with the bulshit.
I know write
Cristina Prodan they really don’t. I remember w n I was 8 calling the police myself and they took an hour to even get there and when they got here my dad (the guy who had been hitting me) just talked to them at the door for like 2 minutes then left. Then I got more punishment for calling. I didn’t go to school for weeks and when I did I still had bruises o tried telling my teachers what my dad Did but they shoved it off as “discipline” and said I was exaggerating the beatings I was getting.
The problem comes when differentiating between a disciplinary action and actual abuse. Being spanked and smacked isn't itself a form of a abuse. Cops do respond to child abuse and neglect when its confirmed, but you don't tend hear about them doing so since its a deeply private and personal situation for the victims and they dont tend to talk about it. Just look at the foster care system. A good portion of those kids tend to be victims of abuse.
So no one is going to say anything about how this man broke the door with one hand
OOGA BOOGA they busted the hinges but he really did have a nice jab
No cause that little boy is more important than that dang door.

That is a good doctor. They actually called police about a kid because he was concerned.
Mannhattan Night I would have called a ambulance but same principle I guess
I agree, but I feel like they should've have just sent a local police officer, not the entire SWAT team..... there is no reason for them to barge in the house and break a door just because the doctor THINKS that the child had meningitis
yeah well, did he tell the police to break down the door, carry lethal weapons and riot shields in case the parents were packing heat of their own?
🤣🤣🤣 no good doctors don’t over react and attempt to destroy faimlys and usurp the role of the parent!
lostn65 no he didn’t but did I say he sent a swat over there?
It's overkill, but we won't be saying that if the toddler is dead when they found him.
Exactly this was the right call, spinal meningitis is deadly, officers did the right thing
So you think every time a kid is sick the police should be busting the door down. Idiot.
@yeonhee II understand that but they would not have been happy talking to the father they would have wanted Togo in and disturb the kids. They should have waited until morning instead of harassing a family in the middle of the night.
@yeonhee no, they had a reason and it was a good one. The kids fever went back down. The doctor could have called and talked to the parents before he stuck his nose in their business.
@yeonhee no this is a case where the parents knew there child and the situation better than the cops. Why was it the middle of the night they sure as hell did not go see a doctor in the middle of the night. So why did they wait until the middle of the night. Maybe more questions need to be answered before you side with the police.
I can’t imagine not taking a child to the ER with 105.
The mom said it had already went down. She took him to the doctors.

@@tracyholloman981 1. It’s not required that you do everything your doctor says (though in most cases you probably should) 2. How would they have know the child’s fever would have gone down? Point is you never know what’s going on inside of your body. It might be going down but if he gets a more severe days after which doesn’t.
Also the parents didnt vacanate so that should be instant life setence
Just because his temperature goes down doesn't mean It’s getting better.
Actually it does as a medical professional it actually does..
@Robert Valitsky Umm, actually your temperature can go down. Meningitis or even a regular fever causes rises in temperature’s to fight infectious bacteria or fungi which will mean, eventually the infection is dying. But even though it may be dying it can easily rebound and soar to higher temperatures than before if left untreated and cause even greater pain. I’m currently studying in medical school and this is basic in terms of being a medical professional.
Aspirin will reduce a fever. So will a bath in tepid water. I had peritonitis 5 days without getting a temp over 99.1.
Robert Valitsky, actually it doesn’t. The boy has a 105 degree fever. That’s lethal, he needs to go to an ER
This went from zero to one hundred real quick I am here reading comments and the BOOM science gets thrown at me
The doctor suspected meningitis and he had a high fever so the parents wanted to go home and rest? I would of taken my daughter to the ER right away if she had a high fever smh
I know right? Like I don’t have children but if I had a child I would’ve done the same thing in the situation, let alone if my child was suspected with an illness that could kill them.
But the kids fever came down and was feeling better. What's wrong with you people?
joe woodchuck it doesn’t matter. Meningitis can have a lower fever too. And you don’t just diagnose or suspect meningitis for a fever either. The doctor must have seen more signs that possibly pointed to that.
@@joewoodchuck3824 an 102 degree fever is still insanely dangerous.
joe woodchuck Just because the fever went down by 2 degrees doesn’t mean that they’re getting better. Temperatures can fluctuate, and symptoms of any illness can get better or worse in a matter of hours/days. Just because symptoms seem to ease, doesn’t mean you’re getting better

That kid wouldve been dead so they went to go save him, but obviously whenever they do something good you have to say its for other reasons..
every kid deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a kid
Amen
I applaud the Doctor’s concern and wish parents would be more vigilant on follow up care.
I saw the police body cam. They called them 3-4 times asking to just see the boy and told them if they don't let them see the boy to be sure if he okay they will break down the door. They didn't even enter the house they just broke down the door yelling to see the child. Honestly, they should pay more attention to the parents. The father on the phone calls sounds like he was too tired to care.
I like how the attoreny was complaining on how violent the SWAT raid is, that is the SWAT's job.
obviously. that’s the point. there was absolutely no need for the damn swat to be breaking someone’s door down when the local pd could have calmly knocked on the door & handled it without becoming a headline.
@@alllieejune9798 yeah but maybe they misinterpreted what the doctor said and thought this was a case of serious child abuse
@@notwelcome2452 They interpreted it just fine.
@@notwelcome2452 the doctor probably said that the child's life was in danger if they didnt bring them back in for treatment. Cops interpret that as abuse/neglect and reacted according to the severness of the case. Still dont understand why they didnt get child services involved though?
In his defense, he was hired by those ppl and so has to find a way to defend them cause of professionalism. But dang he should’ve just gone screw it and cussed those stupid ass parents out on live television. Like say that ur saying that cause u have to find something as a reason to be on their side. Then just tell ur own opinion
Thats a high fever! He could of had a seizure..omg
Or permanent brain damage
Extremely high fever.
105 at 2yo is not iigu enough to cause brain damage or seizures. Some kids have febrile siezures and any fever can cause it
My child has 105 fevers anytime she's sick. If it's over 106 nd with medication it doesn't go down then it's time for the hospital. But I could be sitting in the waiting room with her at 105 and they would just being out motrin.
Those guys should be fired you don’t get a 2 year old this is outrageous
Now this is a doctor who cares for his patients. People don't realize that fever causes inflammation of the brain.
100 degrees is still pretty high for a child,
feline miow no it’s not
@@teanasturgis1104 for a little kid with no vaccinations, it kinda is
@@teanasturgis1104 If you think about it,that's the boiling point of water
MysticMaxx For a kid with no vaccinations, you can expect death rather than a fever.

I think they did the right thing.! The police not the parents.
Was a swat team necessary? I don't think so... 🤦♀️
I see what you did there. Good one and I concur
I am surprised they didn't throw some flashbangs or use tear gas. They raided the house with guns drawn, what was the threat to the police. One wrong move by either parent and that house is riddled with bullets.
Erin C it’s all fun and games until they start shooting at the cops for entering their house
You mean the doctor not the swat team. 🤷♀️
Good for the officers. Definitely saved this boys life. a 105 fever is not something to just sleep off
The child could have been seriously ill. Parents should have followed the doctors orders. This doctor did the right thing.
They couldn’t come up with a better argument than “they wanted to rest”?
Yeah they have beds at the hospital...
I read also the kids dad mentioned not wanting to pay a hospital bill 🤬
Two year old boy with a fever requires a swat team
Its not a swat team first of all. Its just a bunch of officers with guns and a shield. The parents refused to vaccinate the kids so child safety contacted the police and they took the child away so he could be saved from possibly dyeing.
Ray Mak they left things out like they found guns that weren’t put away as in a kid could get a hold of it and meningitis could have killed/injured him really bad, if u have a fever over 103 that’s very dangerous and it’s not a swat team
Ray Mak only because he has CRAZY DANGEROUS parents.
SWAT team then finds other young children sick with very high fevers, an unsecured gun in the parents' bedroom, and the house in complete squalor; I'd say it was a pretty good call.
@@heyvsausemichaelhere6808 it still a swat raid remeber different departments do not have fancy equipment like other departments do
Why were the cops so heavy handed . They went there to kill someone not to do a wellness check.
By not giving any names I can't look this up on the internet to see if the parents ended up getting charged or got their kids back. 6/8/21
Just listen to ur doctor they could save ur life
dean maiden well when they did they found out the other kids were sick and the sister threw up in her bed so yeah they needed help and they also had a shotgun next to their bed really to shoot it
😂
*Your
Or make you work harder to pay the med bills..lots of pro and cons
My doctor almost killed me because he wouldn't listen to my mom 👌

Oskm Gt not swat
There is no situation so dire, so dangerous, so tragic, or so terrible, that the police can't make even worse.
The doctor and officers should be fired for this the doctor had no right to call the police . These officers had no right to take the children away or raid their house
umm anyone else know what we all just clicked on?
Yeah no
A video
About bad parenting
Nope
A video of straight up government overreach and violations of human rights. This was a domestic terror attack if you ask me.
How the Mandalorian broke into that building with the bounty hunter droid, just to find tiny baby yoda
seriously underrated comment
Cpt. Shibe the Mandalorian setting child protection standers since a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.
the lawyer clearly thinks the mom is stupid lmfao
Her: the fever went 105 to 102
Me:Is she dumb? that doesn't make your child better.
Props to the doctor. He felt the situation was unsafe for the boy and made the decision to find a way to get him proper care.
Change your PFP
it wasn't very "proper" they freaking came busting into the house knocking down doors that's not proper
@@foxcrowian8273 I highly doubt the doctor knew about that
@@animeonly193 Cool then just let the kid with a fever above 100 stay home with parents not giving any medical treatment
@@animeonly193 Not about the fever at that point, child negligence
I'm glad the boy wasn't standing behind that door
Yep was thinkg the same 🤔
It doesn’t matter if they had a “long day” the law is the law
How dare a swat team do this to a family. As for the doctor he could have phoned the family himself but chose to put this entire family at risk from armed thugs. In fact he should have called an ambulance to the surgery for the child especially if he thought it was meningitis.
At least the home owner knows he has some cheap ass doors to protect their family
Lmao
it's either that, or the cop was trained in russia
AHAHAHAHA “they had a long day they wanted to rest” WHAT
I died 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀
they where gonna have a rest when they have a terrible fever and would be in agonising pain
Kids ALWAYS come first... fevers spike too - my kid would of been at the hospital regardless.... poor judgement on parents part- high fevers can cause seizures and deaths...
True! Yet, should we Traumatize the Children, breaking doors down, using Guns and shields, in the Middle of the Night?? Heavy-handed!
