  • Brian Stockwell, Former Head of Science at Ashford School, joins the ASA to talk about the first British Science School experiment to be sent to space.
    In March 1985, Ashford School won the ITN Competition, which provided them with the opportunity to send an experiment into space. Somewhere around 50 girls and 9 staff worked on the project over the next 7 years. The project was launched into space on 12 September 1992 and was watched by 12 of the girls who worked on the project.
    Featuring original TV clips and many photos which chart the progress over the 7 years, and comments from the original team members.
