I’m particularly curious about what tools you use, how you set your price targets and how you check your prices as you go. How do you keep track of your “maybe” cards and work them down to your “definitely” cards. Even just the chance to look over your shoulder as you put one of these together would be fascinating!
I've mentioned this before, but he hasn't done a video like that yet. I think it is a really good idea, and I hope he does a vid like you described... hopefully, he includes how he tests decks too!

You know, at $6, this deck’s reasonable upgrades could include Hellkite Tyrant as an alternate wincon. You take control of your opponents’ artifacts, and win by just controlling them.
1, I assume Mitch does seriously hard core research on cards. 2, there is always a way in BUDGET!!! there are some very decent cards that are super cheap. Plus, he also finds cards that are in not so good conditions. But with sleeves, who cares:)
1- mono color decks=way less nonbasic requirements (i.e. 30% of the deck is free). 2- pick a commander with a focused (linear) gameplan that has support across most sets. 3- cackle maniacally that your sleeves cost more than the deck itself.

Wouldn't it be very similar to the budget Kosilek the Great Distortion budget deck? Mostly ignoring the dragon thing in order to turn the commander into a one-hit kill using equipment. Easier with blue, black and green to assemble the stuff and kill the Ur-Dragon if it gets stolen.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you Mitch! I got this decklist as a gift for my birthday a couple years ago, and it's been my only commander deck for the time since. I've had so much fun tinkering with the cards inside of it (I've leant towards a big artifact graveyard recursion theme), but none of that would've been possible without your initial concept! Again, thank you for essentially making the deck that made me love commander so much.
As my main deck is bosh, Grafted Exoskeleton is quite good. Infect isn't just combat damage. It puts a target on your head, but if you plan right, one can knock out everyone at once.
I used to have a Bosh EDH deck. It was a lot of fun and hitting faces with my artifacts in response to removal just felt really good. It also had a few damage doublers and enough ways to consistently give Bosh double strike which normally took people out fairly quickly
Been looking for an artifact deck! I'm back into magic after 20+ years away (I played during Urza's while I was in middle school. Jesus.) I always loved artifacts. My hot tech back then was diplomatic immunity on a Thran Golem haha. Just ordered this deck. So excited to throw around robots.

I love artifacts so much haha. I’m proud to say that aside from a few minor upgrades I built my own Traxos Voltron list for super cheap! From watching your channel so much I’ve gathered the concepts of finding cheap things that have the effects I want. And I’ve never had more fun with a deck than I am with Traxos. It’s just a blast to play. Eventually I want to add the protection swords but that’s a big investment and almost all of them cost more than the deck itself haha
We are one deck sort for a playgroup of commander if it is realised it would be a good idea to buy all 4 and use it as a tabletop game version of magic ,it would probably be better than the one wizard made
for the reasnoble upgrades you could use prototype portal .35 c as to copy an expensive spine of ish sah. mirror works can also serve a similar purpose. phyrexia's core would be a bit of an assist if you want lower to the ground sources of sacrifice when summoning bosh would be too risky. ancient stone idol would be decent for a cheaper summon even when you are not being attacked. thran temporal gateway can cheapen some historic card costs while making it mostly uncounterable. madcap experiment can be a one time shot effect to possibly get a good deal for an artifact. otherwise throes of chaos can help get mana stones to help bring more damage through pia's enchantment. scrap mastery can set up for a fling the field turn if you have been milled a bit. same with slag fiend to be a threat magnet for some spells if the game has gone too long.
It may be a small detail, but I really appreciate that your 10 dollar decks don't always hit ten dollars. It shows that you build for an optimal deck over optimal expenses.
played this deck with a few alterations from cards i already owned like darksteel ingot composite golem and etc, honestly its amazing fun to play fantastic work.
Deck looks like alot of fun, always a great watch, def, want to build this (when I finish some decks I presently workin on so I don't overburden myself lol) keep up the amazing work, and looking forward to the next video
Bosh is one of those legendary creatures I didn't know what to build around it, and it turns out I already owned some of the chosen cards. As a result, I just had to build a Bosh deck, even if it meant having to take a few cards from other decks I own. There's one interesting card that deserves a mention, especially with Mycosynth Lattice if you happen to own it : By Force, which costs X + a red, and destroys X artifacts. With all the mana rocks we use, this is a good way to turn things around against other artifact decks.
Taking this way out of budget range, but would you run Heartstone in this to reduce Bosh's ability's cost? I feel like maybe, but another cost reducer like Jhoira's Familiar might be better.

Love these 10$ deck techs! I've been making them and making small upgrades here and there. We have a few irregular players who don't own decks and these are perfect! Especially is someone wants to keep it, if I say 10$ and they are stoaked!
It could use that Eldraine artifact, Sorcerer Broom pr something like that. Whenever you sacrifice, pay some mana for another broom. Get some good blockers.

Really cool decklist. Might I reccomend Reckless Fireweaver, a 1/3 for 1R that deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever an artifact enters the battlefield under your control. I think it's like 15 cents or something.

ugin's nexus is a disgustingly reasonable upgrade. doesn't just sit there waiting for the one time in a million that it goozles an infinite turns deck, actually gets to use its second effect
It's because you want to shoot to face, not to lose damage. Remember you have to be able to deal at least 120 points of damage; not counting lifegain or lifeloss.
Sad to not see God-Pharoah's Gift in the list. Seems like a neat way to start closing out games, and get more damage with Bosh because the token copies have CMC equal to the original. Really cool deck though! These $10 deck techs have consistently surprised me with how solid they appear. Talrand for instance seemed like a really legit tempo deck for 1v1s.
I hate to poke holes in the deck, but the tokens generated by Triskelavus, pentavus, and self-replicator don't have a cmc, so they will deal 0 damage if thrown. However making as many tokens as possible with those creatures before they die *then* throwing them with Bosh is a good use of them.
I made a new format for edh called WARLORD! Its a $100 budget for the 99 not including commander or basics and no card can be above $30. Its semi competitive, but i was able to make a 2nd emry deck at $100 that basically cedh, so im making a Bosh deck now too. I like how janky this list is and thats what Warlord was intended for; more budget and creative low powered builds. I have mystic forge, darksteel forge, and ancient stone idol eating up $37 of my budget but the rest are under $1 per card.
Chad Brownlee Superfriends without a budget would likely just be an Atraxa Stax deck. Stax backbone because without controlling the board state the walkers feel like sorceries that can be shot out from underneath you or killed with creatures. If you wanted to include red you could go 5 color. I play Her in a cEDH pod with moderate success.
Im surprised that I didnt see Cogwork Assembler here. Pay 7 to create a token copy an artifact like Meteor Golem for value then pay 4 to Fling said token copy for extra value. I know the combo costs 11 to do but hey thats why you have alot of rocks to ramp up to 8, three more and you're good to go!
I was looking at making a bosh deck and found this video while do some research and it's an awesome deck for the cost, I was wondering tho have you got any ideas for more card draw, my main concern making this deck or to be fair any mono red deck is that card draw is lackluster, I have found a few that have good synergy but they also allow my opponents to draw for example temple bell and cards of that nature. Any support or advice from yourself or other viewers would be greatly appreciated, keep up the good work Mitch, I love the budget deck techs, it's a great feeling to rock up to your local game group and play a brand new deck especially knowing it only cost you £20 😂 it make the hobby alot more affordable
Put bosh in a gates deck and fling in gate colossus over and over immediately reviving and redrawing him with guild summit. And put in weaponsmith for colorless ramp
I honestly feel like Metalwork Colossus should have been fit into the budget build. The card can single handedly push out combat damage throughout the game while almost always being free to cast (And recyclable). And that's not even including the massive amount of damage you can dish out once Bosh hits the board.
I might be missing something but you said triskelavus and pentavus makes tokens which you can sac to deal damage but bosh says it deals damage equal to the cmc and other than the mishra's replicator tokens, they wont have a cmc as tokens

Both of those precons are good. I took the saheeli one and turned into a jhoira weatherlight captain deck and it was the best decision.

Bosh doesn't need 10 tactics, only 1. Cast Bosh. Cast Junk. Throw Junk at opponent. Turn their corpse into more Junk. Repeat.

You could do Talrand, Zada, borborygmos, and this one. All of them cost about $10.

Illusionist's Bracers and Rings of Brighthearth are other expensive cards that work fine with Bosh.
Only thing I would add to this would be uragen to reduce the manacost of all the artefakt by 2 and have a nice removel

Theres also furnace of rath and torbald(?) Which doubles as well and adds 2 to red sources of damage. Not sthnning, but not bad either

Bosh's ability says any target, why wouldn't you be able to damage creatures or Planeswalkers?

I know the combo costs 11 to do but hey thats why you have alot of rocks to ramp up to 8, three more and you're good to go!
Make sure to run the red artifact land just for the type
I was looking at making a bosh deck and found this video while do some research and it's an awesome deck for the cost, I was wondering tho have you got any ideas for more card draw, my main concern making this deck or to be fair any mono red deck is that card draw is lackluster, I have found a few that have good synergy but they also allow my opponents to draw for example temple bell and cards of that nature. Any support or advice from yourself or other viewers would be greatly appreciated, keep up the good work Mitch, I love the budget deck techs, it's a great feeling to rock up to your local game group and play a brand new deck especially knowing it only cost you £20 😂 it make the hobby alot more affordable

Its is prodomently colorless though.
Put bosh in a gates deck and fling in gate colossus over and over immediately reviving and redrawing him with guild summit. And put in weaponsmith for colorless ramp
I honestly feel like Metalwork Colossus should have been fit into the budget build. The card can single handedly push out combat damage throughout the game while almost always being free to cast (And recyclable). And that's not even including the massive amount of damage you can dish out once Bosh hits the board.
I might be missing something but you said triskelavus and pentavus makes tokens which you can sac to deal damage but bosh says it deals damage equal to the cmc and other than the mishra's replicator tokens, they wont have a cmc as tokens

Aren't the copies of Mishra's Self-Replicator cmc zero? So I think that wouldn't work
In this case the tokens have a CMC too, because they are a copy of Mishra's Self-Replicator.
Could you do a deck tech on Syr Carah, the Bold? She seems great on a budget and an interesting take on a monored commander!

This deck needs illuionist's bracers. It costs as much as the deck but free repeatable copied activated abilities are very powerful
semblance anvil is about $2-3, but could really do some work in this deck
