I love my 2018 Mustang GT. Not a day goes by that I’m not excited to get up and drive. It really makes people smile. It’s my 4th one and yes it’s the best yet. Always prayin for sunshine!!
Man, what a dream! im 17 years old ive always wanted a mustang ever since I saw the brand new 4 eye mustang GT in 2013. Im still wishing that I could get this exact year model, the 2018 GT, I just love the aggressive frown of the headlights, it just makes to look so menacing. Great car man!
It is because it can go from a stop to 60 in less than 4 seconds. That’s entry-level supercar and/or sports car territory... for like only $40k

Had a 2018 Mustang GT for a weekend. Fun car -- handles great, sounds fantastic, it's everlovingly LOUD. 460 hp. On a full tank of regular unleaded, I was able to travel 400 kilometres (248 miles) before refueling. I was driving it pretty hard in track mode, but yeah, if fuel economy is important to you, get a Focus or a Corolla. The 2018 Mustang offers better bang for the buck than the 2018 Challenger R/T (385 hp), and they both cost about the same. Two thumbs up for the '18 Mustang.

He keeps saying 5 more HP than the Camaro, but the Camaro is still up 35 lbs-ft of torque. Personally I'd rather +35 torque over +5 HP. But that 10 speed auto is going to be beastly.

Greg Miller Which means nothing. The Coyote is DOHC and is designed to be a peakier, higher RPM engine, and it is physically larger and no more efficient than the GM's LT1. HP/L is a 100% useless metric because horsepower is a function of torque and time. That is why we also must consider RPM. In the case of the Mustang, it's 7,000RPM peak and 7,500RPM redline, much higher than the LT1.
Yeah it has a lot more torque but 0-60 times they both are dead even. Can’t go wrong with neither.

I want one so bad but honestly the 10 speed auto is way more attractive the steering shifter is really nice on the new ones and that dash and seats and variable exhaust sooo nice
So, is the new 2018 body a good 100-200 pounds lighter than the '15-17 body? The changes look pretty subtle to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are. By the way, I may drive a Chevy truck, but I do have a 2012 base Stang for my actual daily driver.

All the new and extremely exciting new changes on this car are all things That Chevrolet owners have been enjoying for years. It's exciting and im thankful Ford has finally stepped it up but really all i can say is "It's about time".
Now, does this car have launch control, No lift shift, automatic hill start assist and the ability to lower the windows via the key fob? All things the Camaro has

the only thing that bothers me of this new mustang is the 5.0's engine cover 😂 it looks weird the older one was way better.
it has to have sound deadening in it to quiet down the loud direct injection lifter noise. All direct injection cars need this.

Greb Nitty yup it's true. Take a look at any of the ecoboost engines. They have the same thing. They are direct injection as well.
The best part of the 18 update is that EPIC noise.
10 speed auto, surely that's too many.
Way too many speeds, constantly down shifting when braking, unless you like a bad manual shifter driver! 6 Speed auto is all you need, have all of the racing modes and paddle shifters without the damn manual clutch.

5 years late I have 2020 5.0 with 301A package has normal, sport, sport+, track , and drag strip mode. I never used any of the modes I only use sport mode with the paddle shifters and it’s fun
Rev limited to 155? I think he means speed limited to 155mph. IS there any way to disable this function? I need to go faster than 155 for sure.
I hope Ford is listening to what I say because this Mustang with the Active exhaust sounds exactly like Frank Bullitt's Mustang. So hey Ford how about a 2019 Bullitt? I am yet to see the 2018 in person but man does it look good with the PP2 performance package, so far my favorite. I think should get rid of the PP1 package wheels for good and keep the PP2 wheels more affordable by using the tire set up of the PP1 while offering the aggressive tire and other upgrades set up in the PP2

I love the new 2018 Ford Mustang, but what I think would be even cooler if Ford would take the Mustang logo and put it on the hood similar to an AMG Mercedes-Benz. I think it would give it an even more unique look and make the grill look a lot cleaner!

Drive a manual transmission in Atlanta traffic for a couple of years and get back to me.
I did it in Baltimore traffic for many years because I wouldn't be caught dead in an automatic GT.

I really admire the current gen Camaro and Mustang, as my 1st car was a Firebird. But I would have a really hard time paying $50k for either at my age. I would rather get an M240i as my dd.

Too bad, I normally prefer analogue gauges but this digital display is fantastic.
Why pay 50k+ for a maxed out GT when the GT350 starts at 57k. That's like 80 more horsepower.
Thats with all the options, not only that, the performance pack 2 will finally allow the gt to be quicker than a camaro v6 1le around all tracks. On some tracks before the facelift the v6 1le was quicker on a lot of the tracks.
If you really look at the facelifted mustang like I do, its just as quick as the gt350 in a straight line for 7k less. Add the 7k into the mustang and you get a mustang that can do both track and straight lines.

The GT350 is my dream car but is it not worth it when compared to the GT
Dealers add 6-10k to the price of the 350 over msrp, and they will take off about 4k for a gt. Price isnt close at all.

@John The GT350 is most definitely worth the 7k price bump when you factor in the fact the Mustang GT will depreciate like crazy and the GT350 will hold value much better.

You have to pay extra 2k to upgrade interior equipment in order to purchase the magnetic damping system.
I’m ok with paying $3,995 for the performance package and $1,695 for the magnetic ride damping system. I am not ok with paying an extra 2k for interior, especially when I don’t care for interior at all.
In march of 2012, I purchased my brand new 2012 mustang gt (auto) for $25,500 (most basic model available). MSRP was $29,999 but I was able to bring price down because it was the last 2012 on the lot. Guess I won’t be getting anywhere close to that but we should be able to get the GT for 3-4 off MSRP. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Definitely a step up but I'd still prefer an LT1 with all that torque under the hood. The Coyote has never been good in that aspect.

From certain angles I think the front end isn’t bad but from most I feel it looks too scrunched. Plus gloss black on the top half of the grille and matte on the bottom? Cmon... I do like the higher redline though.

The active exhaust is a $1000 option. It's not on every GT. I think some people would benefit from information like this.
I agree. I just updated for a 05 v6 to 2018 v8 alot more to look at and get used too. I thought I had alot more options but not as many as I thought....
Can't wait for 2019 to buy one off someone that already took the depreciation hit and modded it.
It will pull more horse power than the Turbo but won't take off quicker. V8s are a thing of the pass.
