Donny mate, what a fantastic video and great for you raising all that money for the charity.
Nursling is my go to happy place, always feel privileged to fish it and never take it for granted. I’m not a fly fisherman but a coarse angler and fish for the grayling and chub throughout the winter months. I worked with one of the Potter family and bought Richard down a few years ago to fish for the grayling. He had never run a float through on a pin and managed to get him a 2lb plus one!

Nice view of Nine Elms at Redbridge, it was between the 5 arch pack and pass bridge and the road bridge where I learned to swim, but nine elms were always my favourite place to swim and relax, it use to get pack out in the summer with swimmers as did the bridges

What an achievement! This is a great watch and my late Pop would have loved to see your travels along the Test. He spent many days fishing on the Test on his own, with Vic and Cecil Truckle down in Nursling at the mill and beyond! Fond memories of spending my childhood down there watching him fish from a distance and going with him sometimes although being very young I didn’t have the patience for sitting n waiting for the trout and salmon to bite! Great videos Martin and well done for raising so much money for a worthy cause! Regards Lynn (an old Testwood school friend)

What a lovely message thanks Lynn. I spent a lot of time sat in old fishing huts and on almost every seat day dreaming about all of those characters gone before. Guarantee I would have loved your Pop and if he fished at Nursling with Vic he was obviously a top man! Naomi House is an extraordinary place. Thanks again Lynn (if ever anyone calls me Martin, it’s usually trouble) cheers Donny

Thanks for the reply Donny (sorry but can’t help thinking of Donny Osmond who was my teen idol growing up! 😂).
My Aunty who was born in Nursling and lived there most of her life has many fond memories of Vic and his family. She’s 93 yrs old and still loves to talk about her time living in Mill Lane!

I've been wondering if crap is being pumped in by the Watership down (B3400) as I've seen tankers there for weeks and weeks with hoses. Do you know anything/can put my mind at ease?
