I did see Shaun and Snarky Puppy for my birthday. I can confirm Shaun was exactly like this in person. He heard my best friend scream it was my birthday and he started an impromptu birthday song + photo afterwards. Truly a joyful spirit and being. ✨

Larnell Lewis is one of the best drummers on the planet, and Cory Henry is in my eyes one of the greatest pianists that ever lived. He is just an alien.

I might be biased, but the Keyboard section always amazes me with their ability to play their keyboards with so much feeling, while using the the techniques required for those instruments - Organ, Rhodes, and Piano are different instruments - while always giving each other room to breathe. Truly special musicianship!

She feels the rhythm. Some children respond very strong on rhythmic music. My daughter did that with jazz and salsa. Have to send her this one too I realize now.

The melody line that the horns play, that simple melody and the build around it is the most enchanting thing about this song to me. That melody takes me back to New Orleans more than anything.

Snarky Puppy produces some of the best music I think I've ever heard. They are what should be defining this generation's music, not the pop crap that's spewed across North America.

I just came across Snarky Puppy recently when a friend's nephew, a musician himself, turned me onto them. The more I listen, the more I like. It's fun just watching them jam, but the music is incredible. Lovin' Quarter Master and how it's kind of broken into three parts, but all a part of one song well melted together.
Love these new orlean style compositions, and especially Sput's work on the drums. As much as I love Larnell, there's something unique about Sput that makes him fit well in these styles of music.
Thank you!!! No disrespect to Larnell, but Sput brings the “it” to Snarky Puppy.
Larnell is phenomenal, but the style can dominate the music. Gives it a very different vibe than Sput's style.

Love all of the Snarky Puppy drummers and percussionists. They all bring a unique feel, they're all incredibly talented, and they work together so damn well!

But the beauty of it is that you can get as deep into it as you want.
I could just as happily chuck Snarky Puppy on in the background while I'm just hanging out or getting stuff done, as I could lie down doing absolutely nothing but listening intently to their music, and as I could listen to and analyse it.
They're so good from pretty much every angle of musical appreciation. Genius!
