I know that Dinkum's map always felt bigger than the ACNH map did, now I know for sure. Good Work!!

Stiletto…..OMG I love this, I have a bit over 2,500hrs in animal crossing and I’m now a a Dinkum addict too 🫣 this must have taken forever to do but it’s so worth it. I’m glad it was a good distraction for you while you were in hospital and recovering but you must have been tearing your hair out at times. Hope you’re well on the mend now.
Hi there Annie! Wow.. That's quite the commitment to ACNH and glad that you're now adinked to Dinkum ;). Was such a good distraction from the pain and discomfort, but admittedly there were days I just wasn't in the mood to do anything on it. I'm definitely on the mend and glad you appreciate the effort that went into it and that you feel it was worth it. I feel it was worth it too!. Can't wait to have you around to visit in an up-coming stream

@@debbos125 awww shucks Debbos. Yeah, the first couple of days in hospital I didn’t feel like doing anything TBH. Once I started recovering I started up on it ahead. It also helped me before I went it to work through the pain.
Definitely was a good way to pass time in hospital.

@@AlexiGiovani I love how ideas pop into our minds at the perfect moments. It’s the ones right before falling asleep gets me and getting older I tend to forget what it was. Now I have a journal by my bed so I can jot them down so I don’t lose any sleep.
@LilgingerJennie that’s a great idea. We suggest the same thing to our eldest who is always coming up with thoughts. I tend to jot them digitally too these days.

Blast from the past!. Thank you so much!. It was a LOT of effort. One thing I didn't track is the number of hours, but I know it took over 2 weeks, with a few hours each day. Glad you liked it. Hope it turned out as you'd thought/hoped.

Hopefully, Nintendo makes the next AC as AC Nation, with a map as large as if not larger than Dinkum, with various towns from previous AC games, the island from ACNH, HH vacation resort, and more new game mechanics and activities. 👍🏼😁✌🏼

That'd be cool. Don't know the game well enough to offer any suggestion, but hopefully there's a way to work it out. Might be hard if you're doing it from memory. Wishing you luck with the project. Would love to see the result
You know I did this right? It's probably one of my favorite builds, it's certainly my prettiest. I've always wanted to go back and do it again, with the knowledge I learned the first time around. Stiletto!

@@sassygranny9078 hi SassyGranny! Dunno about famous, but yes! Was quite the mission but really happy with the result and the experiment.
I'll be fair, the switch couldn't handle Dinkum. Let's hope its successor can.
I reckon it could still do it. I mean the Switch can handle Palia and Fortnite, so it's a possibility IMHO.
James also mentioned sometime that he's tested it on a Mobile device too. Can't recall the specs though.
@@AlexiGiovani It struggles with loading a well decorated Animal Crossing island, I don't think it would handle a much bigger map. My Time At Sandrock has performance issues too, that's just naming two titles I own that my switch can't run as smoothly as PC...
Fair point. Wonder if it’d be different for a big world without so much furniture etc. either way, keen to see it on other platforms soon.

Thanks Damo!. Appreciate the offer to have you around to help. I ended up having Mrs G to help with some of the 2 tier rebuilds as that was a LOT of dirt printing but definitely sped me up for that section.
