That green meal seems slightly apprehensive - but it prolly tastes good! Appreciate the editing, the slow-motion bits covering details (seats, cabin, IFE, window and apron view, and a glimpse of yourself, well organised, and optimum video length.

I am a Delta Diamond Medallion frequent flyer. Things you showed in this video you think are good are exactly the things wrong with Delta. 1) International meal... It was "improved" (aka cheapened) before the pandemic and now they cheapen it further. There is no meaningful side dish or bread roll... Just a salad, main and ice cream. Delta try to copy United but United at least have a larger portion and give you bread. The meal portion is really small on Delta now. The arrival meal is a pastry for TATL and an egg-muffin sandwich for TPAC. This is a major reduction compared to before. 2) Newer aircrafts use IFE systems designed by Delta itself, via DFP (Delta Flight Products), with inexperienced engineers. Instead of buying from Panasonic or another well known maker, the new IFE is inhouse developed. It's poorly done with barebone feature and prone to software crash. Heck, even the USB charging port is less durable and they are already broken on many seats because they chose to use a flimsy non-standard reversible port. 3) free earbud - it's the worst quality you can possible get.. it's worse than some dollar-store earbuds. The end result is that they are all discarded - almost no one takes them. Just watch the seats when you deplane, you will see endless of them discarded, flight after flight. This is coming from an airline constantly yacking about being "green". 4) More waste - they give you a "table cloth" and a high-fiber meal napkin.... all of the are frills, non-practical and not well executed, and all discarded. The new bamboo/wooden utensils are even a step down from the plastic ones - they are very hard to eat with because they are very flimsy. Basically, Delta has cheapened everything but put a fancy packaging on things to sell to uninformed passengers.
At least American still offers a substantive meal tray, with more courses than Delta or United, and a full pre-arrival meal. The second meal has been a point where many carriers have cut down greatly on, and is a major sticking point for me especially on really long flights.
A general principle when preparing economy service is to make it good, so that people are more likely to fly the airline again (and choose a more premium cabin which is more profitable). Some airlines (e.g., United, LH) are overt in not practice this, instead treating their economy service as a cost that needs to be cut (while trying to remain somewhat competitive with other carriers), and others (e.g., American, BA, AF, and Asia-Pacific carriers) implement this principle properly. Delta's basically trying to do both at the same time, but what they're really doing is making everything seem premium while it's really cheap, as you mention.
