  • Founded on January 12, 1895, Parc de la Montagne Tremblant is a protected area that covers 60 km2 between Lac Tremblant and Rivière du Diable. Now known as « parc national du Mont-Tremblant », it was the first park created in Quebec, and the largest in the SÉPAQ network.
This vast area of 1510 km2 is the 3th national park in Canada and 6th in North America.
Mont Tremblant national park has 400 lakes, 6 rivers, and numerous sandy shores.
In the Diable Sector, Lac Monroe is excellent for kayaks , swimming and canoeing.
We went there on a hot summer day. we visited the beach Plage de la Crémaillère on Lac Monroe. In fact, one of the best features of the park is the beach on Lake Monroe. It was gorgeous! There is a big play structure, change rooms, outhouses and canoes and paddleboats to rent. The beach is 12km from the lac Superieur entrance.
There are plenty of camping sites in Lac Monroe including castor, cyclo, grenouille, ours, bacagnole, chevreuil, and gamelle. We tented in castor, west of Lac Monroe.
The park is very peaceful, with plenty of deer!
