Hello friends!
In this weeks video I am taking a French provincial vanity that I inherited from my grandparents, giving it a makeover and turning it into a European Cottage Style inspired writing desk that will perfect for me to sit at when I edit my videos. I have struggled with this little corner of our dining room, so I am so excited that the vanity fit just perfectly! I'll be decorating it with various vintage finds including a beautiful lamp that I found on Facebook Marketplace this week. I will also show you how I took the brass hardware (that had paint on it from the original finish) and soaked them in a boiling water/salt/vinegar solution that peeled the paint right off and left the pulls with a beautiful patina.
Lastly, I am taking a store bought urn that had a metal finish and transforming it into a European inspired stone urn with moss....which will be the perfect centerpiece for our dining table this summer.

Carin!! That turned out so beautiful! I have to say it looks stunning! Those drawer pulls are everything! I love that idea you have to possibly paint your lower kitchen cabinets, that would look so nice!

I love the color even more in dim evening light and I think it would add to the cozy factor in the kitchen and tie the spaces together. It wouldn’t take much paint either…I could get away with buying a quart. Decisions decisions!!!!!
