    I swear beastmen are my literally dream playstyle 🤣. Melee and monster focused with not many ranged options. Pure damage and violence

      Slaanesh, Norsca, Khorne, Orcs to a lesser extent all fit this category

      They are a pain invading fortresses tho, until you get the artillery... And if you like to play and not auto decide, you absolutely need battering rams

    I liked the Beastmen a lot in WH2 but not just because of their OP campaign mechanics. Their hard hitting mobile units quickly overwhelm the enemy. Also why I took well to Slaanesh in WH3. High speed and high damage are a ton of fun.

    You might be talking about strictly multi player but I find the beast men Giant pretty useful, he is free and you have to keep in mind early to mid game even into late you might not be able to field all the units you want due to the capacity caps. I have been able to easily shut down enemy ranged in most battles and have them stomp all over the infantry. They're also pretty good hero/lord bullies and can knock them around while dealing decent damage. I get why they get more hate on other rosters but if they're free and you need to fill out an army they can really do work. Just completed a very hard Taurox immortal empires game with ultimate crisis on which meant i was fighting massive dwarf armies right out the gate after securing nagarond. Game went close to 200 turns in where I was still relying on giants in two armies since my cost to increase caps for minotaurs/bestigors/etc was so high.
    I also almost always have 4-6 raiders in every army because since they have stalk and vanguard you can almost always put them in a good position to fire into the backs of enemies for better damage than you would think.
    One thing I should note that I've noticed on beastmen this last campaign is that my minotaurs and other high value units had a weird tendency to just die out of no where, I pause a lot and monitor position and health of my units but it was like I'd look away and they were gone. Beastmen have always been so buggy...

      You can get around 50% missile resistance on rank 7 and up giants as beastmen, they're great units for them.

    08:45 the Centigor and Centigor Great Weapons footage is Mixed up as in - when you talk about Normal Centigors the units being shown fighting and all that are the GW version and vice versa.
    That being said, I love your Guides so keep them coming!

    I'm still new to the Total War franchise but I'm trying to improve. Around 100 hours clocked in total across the 3 games, which isn't a lot in comparison to others, but I still find in campaigns that my auto resolve tends to do better than me playing the battle through myself. What would be the best way to improve other than just playing more which is the obvious answer? (I play on Normal for both campaign and battle for reference.)

      you should watch videos like this, understand what units are doing and how you should use them in battle. Think about army composition. And watch your replays focusing on mistakes you can find there many times that you didn't saw attack from side etc. also you can better understand why you lost battle. For example I have problem with micro. I need to play with slow speed because I am not able to do everything what I want with normal speed. It's hard to cast magic and micromanaging chariot while you need to move cavalry and protect your range units.

      Check out some of Legend of Total War's "saving your disaster battles" videos. Wherein his audience will send him a save file where they are stuck having to face a much stronger foe. After a few of those you should be able to figure out some more about the game in terms of how the AI works, good units to use in certain areas, and even some cheese if required.
      Legend usually explains why he does what he does moment to moment, and usually comments on how not to get into a poor situation or how he would've built his army differently. He also talks quickly so you can get through a few videos in one sitting. It definitely improved my battles' play.
      Also don't be afraid to slow the game down. If you have a full 20 stack army then it can be a nightmare to micro for someone who doesn't have practice in micro intensive games. ESPECIALLY if you have a diverse army. Having to manage 2 artillery, plus 2 cavalry, plus your lord/hero's magic is already a lot for people who aren't practiced at micro intensive strategy games. And that ignore missile units, the ENTIRE front line, plus monsters etc. Don't be afraid to pause or slow it down.

      Man I miss being where you are. A few of people here have put some good advice each but the best thing I can tell you is know the controls. Like actually look through your setting and familiarize what movements you can do and what commands you have. Just knowing how to move your entire army or what buttons do what can make micro far easier imo. It sounds like a lot in writing but really once u get a few you can figure out how to do battle formations. Then honestly it’ll just take time. Just play for fun and not challenge and youll improve as you go. Best of luck and hope this helps if you read it.

    Tbh even with a chariot, Khazrak can easily sit in an infantry blob and rack up hundreds of kills without taking much damage.
    Morghur is also virtually unkillable, total front line deleter

    • @daxl505

      @@daxl505 but if they will have more armor low missiles will not deal them that much dmg. You would need piercing missiles and those are usally high tier ranger units that should be good against giants etc.

      @daxl505 Před rokem

      @@JesuskoSupaChloor by the time you unlock giants the AI will get armor piercing missiles. Sister of Avelon are recruited at tier 3 and Darksharks at tier 1 and 2. It's better to wait and get Ghorgons and Jabberslythes they have better stats speed and bonus against large

    • @eewweeppkk
      @eewweeppkk Před rokem +1

      Their design just makes it so they're annihilated by ranged too much. Way too big, way too slow. Unless we're talking about peasant bowman or something (and even then...they will get WAY more value than their worth shooting into your giant) it wouldn't matter that much if they got armor. They're still going to be taking a shit load of damage before they can impact anything.

    • @daxl505
      @daxl505 Před rokem

      @@eewweeppkk I 100% agree with that. Although you can make beastman giants a bit more effective as they don't cost any gold and neither upkeep, but better use dread to get better units

    No offense mate, but the video seems a little rushed. You forgot to cover the Doombull as a Lord choice, some units that you were talking about had the wrong footage playing, and you forgot to mention some important perks, like Sons of Ghorros having magic damage. Overall, still a decent video though, and I enjoyed watching it! Hope you don't rush it next time, it's better to be complete :).
