@@BossItUp911Let me help you out. A.I. played when they actually played defense this will effect your FG%... many of the past greats would get a HUGE boost in FG% across the board in this era of play. Think of Larry Bird who was said to have regularly would make 30 threes in a row in practice before a miss would FEAST like many past GREATS in this WEAK defensive era of play.... FACTS. I can see many of todays stars being average at best in past era when REAL DEFENSE was allowed with true centers in the paint. Adam Sliver himself said in an interview a player like Steph Curry would struggle with 90's and early 2000's defense when hand checking and clogging of the paint was allowed... true defensive centers and HAND CHECKING would easily reduce his game.... as the defense across the board would many of todays stars... they are simply to SOFT. Many of the current international players say the NBA is currently easier than international play... this was the opposite back in the 90's and early 2000's when international players STRUGGLED to adapted to the PHYSICAL STYLE OF PLAY the NBA had... this is why the NBA changed the rules to make scoring easy to help the one and done college players that were flooding into the league along with the international players... simply... they both STRUGGLED adapting to REAL DEFENSE. Players today aren't really more skilled its just that the REMOVAL of defense gives this MASKED ILLUSION. FACTS!!!!

Forget the 43. Iverson could have nights of 35 points off free throws and fast breaks alone without even taking a shot outside the paint.
You can’t touch him, the floor is wide open, and if a team is bricking all night from 3, that’s literally gonna turn into a layup line for The Answer.

So, let’s make this clear, AI was a volume shooter due to the make up of the team roster. But, there are volume shooters in the current NBA and that is with more spacing created by more outside shooting. So, wouldn’t AI benefit from the extra spacing where now teams can’t send doubles as much? And we already know that there isn’t any hand checking allowed so he would benefit there. Less physicality means he wouldn’t be beat up as much so that’s a plus. If he the current NBA won’t allow him to play heavy minutes + the other items mentioned previously, AI is still going to be dominant and a little better.

There are plenty of players succeeding while playing little to no defense.

Everyone shot around 42% back then. Or less than 45%.
Kobe. T-Mac. Vince. Wizards Jordan. Even young LeBron was below 48% back then.
The league was slow paced. Hand checking was around for a few years. Zone was legalized yet there was no 3 second rule, so you had true zone defense. The league was still physical.
Teams averaged around 93 ppg for a reason. That era led to the commissioner being obsessed with offense.
This is all about LeBron and Klutch Sports media (especially Windhorst) downing any era that isn't LeBron's era.

So you definitely wouldn't need to hide AI. Nobody has a post game anymore. All this spacing crap killed that. I don't think there is a guard faster than him today. As far as scoring? AI is a FREAK ATHLETE. John Madden said of ALL THE ATHLETES HE HAS EVER SEEN in high school, the three best were: Bo Jackson, John Elway, and Allen Iverson...and of the three Iverson was the best athlete of the three of them.
Iverson was, and still is today, the BEST QB IN VIRGINIA HIGHSCHOOL HISTORY (better than Vick, better than Brooks better than everybody). Iverson also, till this day, has the NATIONAL RECORD FOR MOST INTERCEPTIONS IN A HIGHSCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME with 9 I believe (it might be 7 or 8, but it's an insane number, you can look it up).
Iverson was the best athlete John Madden ever saw in high school. Let that sink in. Same guy who crossed up MJ. Same guy who Kobe said, if he was taller, would be the best player ever. Same guy who was the ONLY PLAYER TO BEAT SHAQ AND KOBE IN 2001 when they went on, statistically, THE GREATEST playoff run in NBA history when you adjust for strength of opposition going 16-1 the whole way with IVERSON being the only hoops genius to single-handedly beat them in game 1 IN LA. Kobe binge watched scores of Iverson footage that very night and his defense was key to LA's Gentleman sweep. Thats how GREAT Iverson was (and is), Kobe, one of the 10 best defenders of all time, spent all night studying Iverson's HIGHSCHOOL tape, to find any weaknesses.
The Iverson hate is Klutch Sports propaganda to distract from LeBalco's PED allegations.
Lebron is a PED fraud and, imo, not top 10. Nowhere near Kobe. Nowhere near MJ. Iverson is a BETTER PURE ATHLETE than Kyrie and honestly never/rarely ran FULL SPEED when he was in the NBA. Future HOF coach Greg Popovich said the two fastest players he has ever seen were: prime MJ and prime Iverson. He knows a thing or two about hoops. Iverson would average 40 in today's game.
