Yes Karen, I grew up in New Orleans and penny loafers from G. H. Bass were considered a must have. We would put pennies that had the year of our birth in the shoes.

I am 69 years old, and penny loafers was the look for school girls in Jamaica, with the penny in the front ,I wore them in the late 60's to 70's.

Yes I had penny loafers and they had the Pennie’s in them. And I remember my older sisters wearing them too. I live a few hours north of Atlanta. I’ve lived here five years now and have never been there. I moved to the country and I love it. I see everything that goes on in Atlanta on the news. But I’ll just stay here in my little town .
