    Why isn’t Marco Silva even in the discussion? Took everton to 8th, something they can only dream of right now. Brought Fulham up with the best football seen in the championship and were never in a discussion about relegation all season despite being touted heavily for the drop. Also got Fulham to a FA cup quarter which they were on course to win until all hell broke loose. This season,again not mentioned for relegation despite second season syndrome and got to a league cup semi final…. Oh and this season lost their start striker.
    Criminal how moyes is even in the discussion, and edwards has been there 5 months (although is doing a good job)

    Gary O'Neil has done it twice at two different clubs now. I think he's a brilliant manager and Bournemouth were idiots for sacking him. I think he needs another season or two at Wolves to develop more, then he'd be ready for a big job.

    O’Neill. What a job he’s done at Bournemouth and now Wolves. Imho West Ham should be looking at him. Everton perhaps when Dyche goes and/if they’re still in the PL. That said if I was him I’d be looking at staying at Wolves for a time. Managers who can show they can and are interested in doing a good job for 4-5 years are going to be rare soon.

  • @Young_Brumm15
    @Young_Brumm15 Před 3 měsíci +2

    I'd take O'Neil immediately at West Ham, right now. We need a manager like him, because Moyes is not doing it at this point. Moyes is a manager who can get you into those Europa spots, but that's his ceiling as a manager. We know what we are getting with him. Gary O'Neil would be fantastic for West Ham, because he would be able to get the best out of our players, and shake things up at West Ham.
    I'm eternally grateful for David Moyes, and appreciate all that he has done for us as a club. In my 25 years of life, he's given me the best football that I have seen at West Ham. But I know Moyes' limitations as a manager, and it's about time for him to go

    • @timdurgan
      @timdurgan Před 3 měsíci +2

      So O'Neill will get West Ham into the top 4? That's ambitious

    • @Young_Brumm15
      @Young_Brumm15 Před 3 měsíci

      @@timdurgan I'm not saying as a statement of fact that Gary O'Neil will definitely get West Ham into the top 4. My whole thought process is that since Moyes hasn't gotten us into top 4 either, and his ceiling as a manager is finishing around the 6-8 spot in the league table, why not switch it up after this season and give Gary a gamble. At least we would be a consistent threat in every game we play, vs with Moyes, where we look lethal in the first half of the season, and then backslide the last half, before trying to make it up at the end of the season, to attempt getting into Europa spots.
      Gary O'Neil has gotten the most out of his players at Wolves. Most of the people I talked to/listened to before the season began, and before O'Neil took the team over before Week 1, stated that Wolves were a team that would battle relegation or go down. As of this moment, Wolves are 11th in the table, and 3 points away from 7th. If O'Neil was coaching the West Ham team, with the talent that our team has, we could push for 4th or 5th. I'm not delusional and gonna say that we would be top 3, but we could finish just outside of the top 3, if our team stays together and is injury free.

  • @joeallen781

    Rory immediately jumping on Moyes - winning them titles and getting West Ham to massively overachieve given how bang average their squad is - 14th last season but having to deal with the European football demands - 8th currently and 7th season prior to wining a european title..... where the hell does West Ham go from there.
    Be serious ffs, they do not have it in them financially to be breaking into top 6 - Moyes for that fact is mad underrated because West Ham are hugely overachieving with him at the helm

    • @mattmitchell913
      @mattmitchell913 Před 3 měsíci +3

      As a west ham fan, your opinion is the typical one that exists from people that are viewing from the outside. We do not have a 'bang average' squad, in fact Moyes relies on individual brilliance (Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen) to bail him out alot. Our style of football is not sustainable and there's a reason its not widely used at the top level. We've lost 5-0 to Fulham, 5-1 to Liverpool, 6-0 to Arsenal, could easily have lost 5/6-1 to City all within the last couple months. We have (reportedly) the the 6/7th richest owners in the league so there's potential for investment if we continue winning.

    • @joeallen781
      @joeallen781 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @mattmitchell913 Do you honestly believe a new manager... say Ange, De Zerbi, or anyone considered to play a far more aggressive attacking game could get West Ham higher than 6th.. that ain't happening.
      Also, it doesn't really matter about the wealth of owners it is about revenue... and currently, 7 clubs are bringing in more than West Ham, thus allowing them to spend more.
      The west ham squad is bang average aside from Kudus, Paqueta, and Bowen, then maybe Ward-Prowse as well.
      The success Moyes brought to the club has given that fanbase a deluded sense of self-worth and importance. West Ham are exactly where they should be... 8th, maybe they can push for 7th but West Ham's overall squad isn't anywhere near the top 6.
      Brighton lost 4-0 to Luton, 6-1 Villa, 5-1 to Everton, 3-1 to West Ham in the past... you gonna say De Zerbi is no good?
      Get realistic with your expectations, West Ham aren't getting into the top 6 and will struggle to win another trophy for long time... Moyes has given you a piece of history to enjoy because it is likely the last trophy you will win for another few decades.

    • @jamesgunn7
      @jamesgunn7 Před 3 měsíci +2

      Spent 500m in the last 4 years, of course we have it in us to break into the top 6. But you won't do that camping in your box for 90 minutes vs teams like Bournemouth and Sheffield United!

    • @joeallen781
      @joeallen781 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @jamesgunn7 mate, West Ham net spend is around £239mil since the 19/20 season to now, if the transfer fees are to be trusted...
      Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, Tottenham all have far higher net spend for the same period
      Even Aston Villa have a higher net spend over the same period.
      Let's not even mention the mess that is Chelsea.
      West Ham fans need to realise the style may not be great, but in terms of league positioning and European silverware, Moyes is insanely over achieving with this club.

    • @mattmitchell913
      @mattmitchell913 Před 3 měsíci

      @@joeallen781 I mentioned the owners’ wealth because if we can continue to improve and succeed, then we will be able to spend more. No club wants to stagnate and success isn’t dependent on a clubs name. No West Ham fan is ignoring the success David moyes has delivered, and he has also brought stability. But like I said, his play style is not used widely at the top level, and there’s a reason for that. And of course no success is guaranteed, but if we are to give ourselves the best chances of building upon the current foundations, there’s no better time to change manager and style, to focus on a more attacking strategy which favours our best players. Struggling to score against Sheffield, Burnley, Luton, Everton, Palace should not be happening with an attack like ours.

    The idea that fans can't want more for their teams and have to stay in their lane is so fucking stupid. City, Liverpool, Chelsea etc have no divine right to always be at the top. Its great seeing teams like Brighton and Villa push them.
