Imagine getting a diamond tiger with either the Melanistic or albino furs. That would an insanely rare trophy to get. I have a feeling the addition of these guys means the gates are open for elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and hippos to be added to the game.
As excited as I am about this, so hyped, i still have in the back of my mind the fact that EW has a knack/history of screwing big things like this up, so my hopes arent super high.
I hope they also introduce a stat: Hunter vs. Hunted, so you can keep track how many times you get killed over by the tiger vs. how many you take out... lol. I already foresee mine being rather skewed towards the Tigers. I don't do well with aggressive animals. With a lower population, I also wonder if Females will make Diamond? Although there is a significant size difference between males and females.
I hope they do something similar with the Pumas/Mountain Lions where they are more rare (20ish total) and not 8 at a single lake and will make them far more interesting and rewarding. Also they definently need a remodel. They could look amazing if they put more time into them.

The sinking mechanic was broken tho, even if you hit a vital shit that killed them, if they hit the water the animal was lost with no way to retrieve it, they were designed to flee to water as soon as they see you so obviously that doesn't work. If they designed things right the first time or put thought into them it wouldn't be so hard to put things in and leave them and have them work how they should.
@@OldBadGamer614 But that's the thing, irl gators sink if you hit them, doesn't matter if you kill it or just wound it, it still sinks. The only thing they got wrong was the class, they should have been class 7 from the start.

This is a game, if there is no way to retrieve it, and you lose 90% of them to that sinking mechanic there is no reason to hunt them. What you're saying, with all due respect just makes no sense. It's why everyone complained and they fixed it.

There is no way to retrieve them if they sink otherwise. However, the way crocodiles are hunted in Africa matches the way they are hunted in game, meaning you shoot from a distance and try to prevent them from escaping into water, otherwise good luck retrieving your trophy from murky crock and hippo infested waters.

Idk what the game is going to refer to them as, but when I worked with Tigers irl, here's what we referred to them as, or at least the three rare variants we had at the sanctuary -The white with black stripes Royal White -The all white is Snowy White -The second to top left we would either call Golden or Tabby (depends on who you asked)
I don't think we will get a great one tiger properly due to the low number and difficulty perhaps. So this seems like a better idea to me this Way we kind of got the great one furs.

The Melanistic tiger is called a panther because of the genius it's in pantheara which includes Jaguars lions leopard and tigers which means they are only true big cats. The mountain lion and puma are more related to your house cat and lynx which is why they aren't called black Panthers because they don't belong in the panthera genius
Technically there’s no such animal as a panther at all- it’s just a term used for any black big cat in general, despite the species, but is still incorrect. It’s simply a melanistic bengal tiger to be correct. 😊
Your wrong a panther is another name for a mountain lion. Mountain lions are called many things such as a cougar, a panther, a pumu. They are called different things no tiger is a panther. A black panther is just a black or melenstic mountain lion.
Um...might want to fact check some of that. Cougar in the southern U.S. are referred to as Panthers even though their genus is felis. Panthera refers to big cats capable of roaring. I've never heard of a tiger being called a panther.
Eventhough it´s only a game, I fear that EW is gonna get a LOT of backlash, for bringing an endangered and protected animal species. I can see a lot of potential, expanding the species list to endangered species, since it´s a *game*, and not real life. I would love, if we got elephants on some of the maps for example - But I understand why the´re; or atleast have been against introducing endangered species to the game - Until now, apparently. I really hoe this choice don´t come back and bite them in the rear, and make a huge uproar in the gaming community. It is however just a *game*, and shouldn´t necessarily be true to life, in that regard.

My son was playing Way of the Hunter a couple of weeks ago and hunting tahr, and we even joked about what a Great One tahr would be like, since they naturally have such big, fluffy, long coats and stuff. He laughed like crazy when he saw thats the Great One. Also, I wonder if they will have drink times? Will be tricky if they dont. (And, even for the tigers, only one in an area, will make it much trickier to pin them down at a lake or something.)

@@melsgaming375 they have like 40+ add ons, what do i know but I don't think they are struggling for money, feels more like they are using the money they make from dlc to dump out more dlc rather than fix/improve things🤷♂️ but that's just my opinion I guess. I'd like to see some adjustments, size variations in animals, buffing rounds like the 3030 to make it closer to real life, ect, but who needs that when I can spend another $10 for tigers on a game I already spent more on than any other game just so I could get decent weapons and more than the 2 most basic maps they have put out.

Updates come with bug fixes every time, they need money to keep working on the game. But if you don’t like it, that’s up you.
