  • In this edition of BIH we take you back in time to one of the saddest moments in the history of Africa, the Rwandan Genocide which took place in the Republic of Rwanda between the 7th of April, 1994 to the 15th of July, 1994. Some accounts have stated that 800,000 people were killed in the genocide while other accounts have stated that more than 1 million people were killed. It was horrific, it was barbaric and manifestly inhuman. It was Rwanda’s lowest moment in history. Join us as we take you back in time to the events that resulted in the genocide, the genocide itself and the after effects of such unprecedented scale of elimination of human lives. Welcome to this edition of BIH.

One can understand that the main cause of the genocide was injustice, inequality and indirect rule system of the west in Africa. This is exactly what happened and still happening to the Igbos in Nigeria till date. Igbos lost over three million lives in a similar situation in Nigeria and still loosing through genocidal means, while the world keep looking the other way.

It is happening in Africa so what? It has happened in Zimbabwe who cares? In Zimbabwe the international community refuses to acknolegde that a Genocide was commited by Robert Mugabe. Amurderer is seen as an African icon of peace and development. ZANU a mafia organisation has turned its focus on killing its main suport base of Mashonaland.Shona people can now see the vampire in ZANU their party.

It is not only 800 thousands,it is more than one million Tutsi who got killed by hutus and french army in just 100 days.but if you add up the number of Tutsi who had been killed since 1959 when hutus initially started to kill the Tutsi by the order of colonizers, you will get far more than a million.the kings were Tutsi and always treated all citizens equally good, they protected all Rwandans even during colonization they would keep blocking and stopping colonizers from oppressing Rwandans, any thing colonizera put in place to oppress Rwandans it wouldn't take too long for the kings to stop it,the kings did not have all the power as they used to because colonizers had guns and army and dissolved the traditional Rwandan army but that did not stop the kings from always protecting Rwandans with their diplomacy ,they were very wise and would spot the bad consequences of things colonizers would start to do on Rwandans and the kings would abolish them while still in the enfancy stage and that would make colonizers angry but it got worse when Tutsi kings started telling colonizers to get the fuck out of Rwanda that Rwanda is not their country,so the kings started the process to freedom which made colonizers retaliated by creating anti Tutsi ideology and selected a few hutu guys and promised them to put them in power if they agreed to absorb, spread and use that anti Tutsi ideology,it was full of lies about the monarchy that it oppressed hutus and even goes to the extent of saying Tutsi are foreigners on their own land, colonizers had studied the behavior of Rwandans and found it hard to know what a Tutsi thinks but it was very easy for them to read the minds of hutus thus found it easy to brainwash them as they found them to be submissive due to the fact that every thing they would tell those guys they would agree without giving it a second thought so the colonizera realized if they put hutus in power they could always keep colonizing Rwanda through hutus as hutus would listen to their instructions with no second thought and that is how it all started, the colonizers killed the king and forced the next king into exile warning him they would kill him if he dared go back to Rwanda,so they abolished monarchy and put hutus in power and instruct them to kill Tutsi and burn down their houses with fuel supplied by colonizers.first government of Rwanda consisted of 8 belgians with a final say and a bunch of hutus and one or two Tutsi, those Tutsi kept telling those belgians to get the fuck out of Rwanda but the hutus advocated for belgians to stay in Rwanda, hutus even went to the extent of going on a strike with big signs that said Tutsi are the ones who are the colonizers thus must get out of Rwanda that Rwanda is not their country pictures about this are still there.anyways that did not stop Tutsi from keep telling colonizera to get out which made those belgians eventually get out of the government and killed those Tutsi and ordered hutus to kill Tutsi civilians ,and every other hutu president who got in power would follow the same anti Tutsi ideology the plan was to eradicate them from Rwanda by exterminating them little by little till till they all get wiped out before the world knows but that plan was interfered with the fact that Tutsi in exile formed an army to go back fight to return to their country and live in peace like any other Rwandan so hutu regime realized they would no longer be able to kill Tutsi if they lose power so they planned a massive genocide to kill the rest of Tutsi all at once in 1994,they planned every thing ,bought weapons, trained millions of hutu civilians on how they would kill Tutsi once the day comes ,made lists of Tutsi and their locations so it would be easy to find them cus they would also limit their movements inside the country it was hard to Tutsi to get legal documents to travel from one district to another inside the same country, hutu civilians would go in private meetings discussing how they would exterminate Tutsi and they would tell Tutsi that they would kill them when the time comes ,they said they would kill Tutsi to the extent a hutu kid woulk ask his parents how a tutsi looked alike cus Tutsi would no more be alive,so the day came when a plane carrying a hutu president got shot down and it was blamed onto the Tutsi army and immediately hutu civilians started killing their Tutsi neigbors.so when all preparations of the genocide were over the hutus need something tangible to use as a reason to exterminate Tutsi and that is why the hutus shot dowm the plane carrying their own president so they could blame it onto that Tutsi army and make it a reason to exterminate Tutsi something they had been long waiting for so the plane was not the cause of the genocide as that genocide was long planned way before the plane got shot.the hutu president at time did not have good relation with his fellow hutus mainly his wife's family who were in control of the whole country, they did not see things the same way as that president accepted to sign peace treaty with that Tutsi army which his wife's family didn't approve of and it said his own wife set him up.anyways they carried the genocide against Tutsi and killed more than one millions of Tutsi in just 100 days,a very tiny number of hutus no more than 200 who voiced their opinions against the extermination of Tutsi got killed too,but the genocide was strictly planned against Tutsi and not anyone else hence why it is called the genocide against Tutsi.

The media can be such a deadly weapon none of us condons what happened down there but what pounds my head hard is the fact that the Tutsi play victim leading the whole world to believe that they were killed in heavy numbers more than the Hutus yet Kagame and his RPF killed more Hutus and even reached the extent of pursuing those who had fled into Congo all in the name of hate. Those Hutus the RPF slew during the genocide weren't enough to quench Kagame's quest for blood but nobody talks about it.

@drakekiyaga you are simply a hutu lying.ofcourse the genocide against Tutsi claimed more than a million Tutsi in just 100 days,a tiny number of hutus who got killed was because they were against the extermination of Tutsi so ofcouse it is a genocide against Tutsi because it was strictly planned against Tutsi and not any other tribe.hutus who got killed do not exceed 200 if they had kept quiet they would have never lost their lives but for the Tutsi none had a choice you simply had to be a tutsi that's it you are dead even a baby who was still in the womb of her mother the hutus would use machettes of long sharp woods to get that baby out and kill her/him alongside the mother.those hutu genocidaires fled to congo and continue to kill Tutsi of congo hence why there is even war in congo between Tutsi congolese and the hutu genocidaires supported by congolese army and that Tutsi army is fighting to stop all of them from killing Tutsi. When kagame crossed over to congo it was because congo was arming those hutu genocidaires and training them to go back fight in Rwanda so kagame has no other choice he went and fought them there.
