- After the Vikings had ambushed and stolen a crown from a black falcon patrol, the soon-to-be king of the black falcons seeks immediate revenge. However, the black falcons are ill-prepared and might need a helping hand from one of their allies. A bloody battle ensues in a rocky valley between the two factions.

I'm James A. Janisse with the Kill Count, and today we're going to be looking at "Retribution." This video has a total of 23 kills, the victims consisted of 10 Black Falcons, and 13 Vikings. With a total runtime of 2 minutes and 45 seconds, with a kill on average every 7.17 seconds. The Golden Chainsaw goes to the 7th Black Falcon soldier, who is beheaded by the Vikings while holding his intestines in his hands. The Dull Machete goes to the 1st Viking who is killed by enemy arrows.
The golden chainsaw award might be a tough prize to give away in my next video

Looking back, there was quite a bit of foreshadowing towards Truemane's true nature. He was warned that they shouldn't directly engage the vikings, but immediately prepares for a full battle, nearly destroying his entire army. Now, it all worked out in the end, and I can't necessarily blame him for wanting the crown back, since he needed it to become king, but it shows it nonetheless.
I love these comments! Always nice to see people picking up on things. One of my biggest worries is if i got the message/story across while im animating

The baseplates I film on are raised on some books so I can get the camera to shoot from a low angle.

Wow! Just... WOW!! I can tell you don't have the best camera, but you managed to accommodate the lights so it looks amazing!! And the animation is absolutely STELLAR! The animation that goes into EVERY SINGLE MINIFIGURE in one shot is worth appreciation. The effects, weapons, actions sequences, all is absolutely amazing! You got a new subscriber!

Great video! Poor guy at 2:02 lol. I'm happy I was able to grab a few black falcon soldiers before they sold out, I really like their torso piece.
Suggestion for video, maybe vikings sneak into castle/fort and unlock the gate. Maybe through sewers or something like that. Keep up the good work!😄

Bro what sound effect do you use for when the spears land on the shields at 00:57 i need those in my life
Theres a scene in the show vikings, i think it was when two brothers fought early on in a shield wall battle. Search up “ragnar va rollo shield wall battle” and it should come up. Thats where i got the sound from
Where did you get the audio for this? I’m also a Lego castle animator and would appreciate some tips!
Audio (mostly the dialogue) is from this show vikings, lots of clips on youtube i was able to edit and use. Love your channel btw! Just checked it out. Im probably gonna do a more in depth tutorial down the road for sure but some quicks tips is to film from lower angles to kinda show soldier perspective in battle. Also to focus on easing in and out while using realistic body motions in a fight (ex:a knight wont typically expose their back while fighting)

You might get lucky on a local used marketplace. But your best option would to buy bulk on bricklink and try to get everything you want in as few orders as possible to minimize shipping costs.

Where did you get the viking minifigs from?
Its a big mix: some LOTR/hobbit sets from when they first came out, the build a minifigure tower at some lego stores, and a bricklink order or two for accessories and other pieces.

Custom made, i go more into depth in another comment but basically theyre blank grey shields with stickers on top

@@TiptopBreak i bought a bunch of sticker paper from staples and put a layer of tape over it, i only used about 1/2 of a page so i do have a bunch of spares lying around and i can make a bunch more if i need to easily.

Spears and other polearms are meant to be the main weapon not swords those are backup weapons your side arms spears axes poleaxes and should be used for combat
