You DO NOT NEED TO USE THE OIL FILTER WRENCH TO TIGHTEN UP THE FILTER WHEN YOU PUT ON A NEW ONE... HAND TIGHTEN ONLY!! ONLY USE THE FILTER WRENCH FOR THE REMOVAL OF OLD OIL FILTER...
Charles is right, with oil filter installation hand tightening is all that's required. Belittling someone with greater knowledge then you only makes you look like a fool. But still thanks for putting this video out so I can see what I have to do to change my oil on my new to me camry.
2019 Camry hybrid owner, car was leaking oil. Thought it was my oil pan cracked. Got up under my car to find it was oil filter very loose from an oil change I had done recently. Thinking about changing my oil going forward.
@@cicerobelljr9685 Your oil filter was not installed correctly or you could have had a bad filter seal.. You still do not use an oil filter wrench to tighten the filter when you install one.. That is just dumb and is not the correct procedure.. Ask a certified technician at a Toyota dealership. Changing the oil is very simple in these cars. I do mine all the time. And I will do my sisters new 2022 Camry xse when it is due... You just need one of those oil filter wrenches that attaches to the end and spends It off.. A metal band oil filter wrench will not work due to the close proximity.. filter removal ranches that are attached to a ratchet are very good as well. Just look at some videos on CZcams.
Uh, after turning off a car, yes there will be vapor coming out as the engine is very hot. But do not open your oil fill when engine is running to check if it’s smoking lol.
And there you have the best oil and filter change and you don't have to pay 150.00 and wait 3 hours or get a estimate on brakes , transmission or cooling fluid change
Never tighten the oil filter with a wrench. Hand tight and once they touch about 3/4 turn is enough. Never had issues or leaks. No wonder people have to use a wrench getting them off, because they're too tight.
My Toyota Maintenance Tech told me ridiculous suggestion. He said that these newer toyota's do not require an oil change until after 90,000 miles. I think he's insane.
I dont understand those people that still measures the oil from the dipstick after pouring the oil.. when they know the amount of oil requires on their engine..either 4.8, 6.4 or whatever.. once you put them.. its there..
@@Koghent how can you slip up? you just drained the oil yourself, then refilled it with the correct amount fir an oil change, how could the level be wrong? hollyshhit, its 3fukkin steps. damm
1) Good video. Simple, straight-forward, and without the chit-chat. 2) The music is kind of annoying; but if there’s no chit-chat, then you can just mute it. And, 3) Since the riots of 2020, we were told that all the destruction and subsequent land, air, and water pollution stemming from the riots were not as important as making the case for social justice. Since that time, I have been throwing my used oil in the regular trash. I’m glad that BLM and ANTIFA taught us all about those new priorities. I was going to dump my used motor oil in the surfline off the CA coast, along with my unused case of plastic straws, but it’s too far to drive. Sincerely, thank you to BLM and ANTIFA. I’m now concerned with social justice and unconcerned with polluting-seeing how nobody made a big deal of all the cities that were intentionally burned to the ground in the peaceful protests.
It's hard to find lol I thought I could use 0w-20 because it's thicker but if it requires the right ingredients I don't want to put nothing in different

Hey 👋🏼Do you unscrew the bottom cover when checking for leaks ?
No
Does your burn oil ? Like is there vapor coming from the oil fill tube when removed ?

Tighten the oil filter so it is hand tight, the tool is only to be used for taking off the filter.
Tight yours how ever you want
