  • Last week, I bought Conair Turbo Extreme 2 IN 1 Steamer and Iron ( amzn.to/3GotO1X ) at Costco for $49. I am going to compare if with my trusty Conair Extreme Turbo Hand Held Steamer ( amzn.to/2TWJO8L ) that also bought at Costco for $39 - four years ago. This is a quick comparison. For a full review and unboxing of both, check out the videos below:

I used Conair Turbo Extreme 2 IN 1 Steamer and Iron ( amzn.to/3GotO1X ) to iron my pants and clear winkles and creases from my curtains very quickly. It heats and steam in less than 10 seconds! My Conair Extreme Turbo Hand Held Steamer ( amzn.to/2TWJO8L ) heats up in about 20 seconds and can also clear wrinkles and create creases but the fabric or clothing must be hanged. Traditional irons are heavy and need about a three to five minutes for the iron to heat up to temperature.
The 2 IN 1 is newer and generates more heat and surface area to quickly iron steam. It is heavier than the Turbo Hand Steamer as it has a larger aluminum ironing surface and a larger water reservoir. The cord length for both are very long.
Always use DISTILLED WATER to your iron or streamer otherwise the mineral deposits of regular water will destroy your steamer after a few uses. I love the Conair Turbo Extreme as it heats up and streams in about 10 seconds, relatively lightweight, easy to handle, and has a wide hot ironing surface area.
Ironing the cuffs only take about one minute to do with the Conair Turbo Extreme 2 in 1 Steamer and Iron ( amzn.to/3GotO1X ) due to the low wait time and large reservoir for water. The attachments were easy to use.
The delicate attachment added about a fabric shield in front of the steam and hot sole plate. The crease attachment is a large clip used to run along the side of a hanging garment to create a crease. This can be used instead of an ironing board. The silicon and nylon brush are good for pulling fabric to remove wrinkles while steaming. I used them on my curtains for fast results. The Conair Turbo Extreme Iron and Steamer 2 in 1 ( amzn.to/3GotO1X ) does not have narrow point like a traditional iron to detailed ironing.
Overall I like the new Conair Turbo Extreme Iron and Steamer ( amzn.to/3GotO1X ) and can see other uses for this. More so than my Conair Extreme Turbo Hand Held Steamer ( amzn.to/2TWJO8L ) that I have owned since 2017! If you already have the prior model and a iron, keep it.

Have you looked at the GS59 (1875 watts) in comparison to the GS38R (1550 watts).

I prefer the GS38NXC. It seems to steam better and longer. The steam is much more concentrated. This seems to make a difference getting out hard store bought creases. The gs208 produces more steam and goes through water much faster. It also has a larger water reservoir(yet still loses). It seems for pure steaming purposes, a concentrated jet is far more effective than having a large surface area of steam. I don't want an iron. To steam hung up clothes, the gs38nxc works better. I have both steamers.

The GS38NXC can steam two new shirts (hard creases) with one reservoir. I can only do one wirh the with the GS208CTXC and sometimes run out before finished 1 shirt. I have a lot of shirts(like over 150), lol. So it makes a big difference.
