I'm a big fan of Kitty-Angela style decks, so definitely going to get Thena. On average I expect her to trigger two or three times per game which would make her into 2/7 or 2/10 most of the time. Nice thing about her is that her ability isn't tied to location, so you can play her down with Angela and buff both of them at the same time by playing cards down on the Angela lane.

Got damn it, every time I have a clear buy week, they change something about it to make it much worse. I really wanted that Gladiator and would have been OK with getting the Grandmaster variant, but the MODOK variant honestly looks pretty much the same as most of the others (besides, I don't really play him anymore). I know it's by design, but it's really annoying.

i agree on that modok variant, feels like a more standard take of him in the gwenpool comic style which is nice, would've prefered one with his gwenpool design even if it is goofier

Personally I think people are overestimating on how easy they think it will power her up. Playing two cards only a around won't be that easy without luck on your side. On top of that shadow King exists he easily ruins her. Honestly I'm not surprised they moved gladiator to markira week because he's definitely the best spotlight card this week and she's the worst card this season.

This “This and that counter card exists” argument is bs. If you think like that, then every card in the game sucks
i think people are underestimating raw power, shell be easily 2/13.
She is good with one trigger, and way above rate with two… this card seems nuts to me in so many decks..
Exactly. Everybody is underestimating the work it will take to make her big and they're only thinking best-case-scenario. In the later turns, you're knee-capping yourself by playing 2 cards instead of a great 5 or 6 cost. If you draw her turn 3 or later, you're gonna have a bad time.
Been playing with almost exactly the same Ravonna Lockdown deck except for Rogue replacing Jeff (got that shark pinned in the shop until the tokens roll in!) and it's very solid. Regularly getting Thena to 7 and 10, which is often enough with Angela working another lane and X/Cannonball finishing the game.
Been waiting months for this card. Predicted Sage will be 1 of best in game. Ran Ravonna exclusively since release (no profx) Thena is a auto-inc & 1 of the best cards in game.
Imo Thena is a better Angela. You play similar play patterns with both but you don’t have to play on Thena to buff her.

Her ceiling in a 6-turn game is 15 if you also play Wasp.

if you roll the peak turn 1 it could be 18

Great video on thena and also I have one question to asked,that I don't think nobody hasn't asked about,and it's firestar,because ever since,they've took her from December,we've haven't heard anything about her returning yet
We don't know - and Second Dinner doesn't comment on datamines as they are unofficially released information. We will only know if they one day decide to add her and discuss it openly.
While she is harder to play than angela, i think Thena is better because unlike Angela, she can solo a lane. As someone who mostly plays a "zoo" deck even if you fill all three lanes theres always going to be a weaker lane that has your weaker support cards (eg bast, silver surfer, hood, ect) i think she can be decisive in lanes like that.

You forgot Wasp. Maybe a Annihilus or patriot deck would be good.
Im so hyped for it, im saying is best cost 2 since we know thena and all ppl say is going to be Trash, men, is a 2/10 easy, and dodge Shang because gain the power after the turn like Havok, also SK make it 4 power because same thing, not 0 power like Angela, and you dont need to play in the Thena Ubi so dont need to hace movement cards like Angela, and can also play it on Lockdown
Yeah I also predict Thena will be the best, but that is mostly because the other cards look weak. Since we have access to Angela and she is great I still feel unsure if she is needed. Perhaps we will play both but idk. Angela seems easier to just play. I will wait until weekend missions as usual and decide :)
I'll save the details for my later videos,, but I think this season might have some cards that are surprisingly strong👀

I am playing snap after 5 months , so what am i missing is there any op card should I get . I have 6 keys should I save the keys and i have 13k tokens . What should I do? Thanks in advance.

i wonder why they made Thena 2/1 instead of 2/0 like Angela, she is already getting one extra power for the ability compared to Angela
Even though she isn’t lane restricted like Angela, she’s more restrictive than Angela due to needing exactly 2 cards. Especially since there are so many good mover cards+Kitty that get around Angela’s lane restriction, but nothing gets around 2 card restriction.
Why not wasp? Like a joker, if you cant or you want to play something big, you can play that +wasp, so wasp is a 0/4, also you can do Thena+Wasp and start buffing it on turn 2, making it a posible 2/16 W/o Magik or a 2/19 With Magik

I'm excited for this one too, looks super scalable. I think you'll need to run Cosmo and Luke this week to protect against all the Shadow King, which makes me think she might go well in a Spectrum ongoing deck, keen to see what people make of her.
I'm undecided if I'll pick up Thena. The ceiling is very high. I mean come on, a 2-cost that scales +3? Insane. However, I struggle to think of a home for her. Do you just play her in a generic midrange deck with a slightly lower curve and Wasp so you could still play a 6-drop? It sounds fun to play, until you run into Loki. Maybe an Ongoing list with Luke Cage and Yellowjacket so you can still Spectrum on turn 6? I'm talking myself into it. Thanks Docty

My guess is Thena, but we don't know for sure.
We [mostly] know how Sasquatch performs, so if you like her and the decks she gets played in then that's a safe pickup.
So I ended up getting the Sasquatch, mostly for the small chance I would get her on first key and be able to get both her and Thena. But of course it took me 4 keys, which is all the keys I had, so I will just barely get enough to get Arishem guaranteed and have to skip everything else in the next season 😕

It's hard not to try when you have less then 4 keys but really really want the card. For me, if I'm In that situation and take the risk, I make sure I'm ready for Abad outcome before I pull the trigger, so I don't get triggered and end up needing a new phone or un-installing the game.
This is not the first or last game I have this rule for a d by far not the worst in the RNG, resources or monitary assets.... Some ge I play, if you don't pay, you cannot compete, period.

@@jeffsenecal4168 I know this is the correct way to open spotlight cashes, but it still feels really bad, when I spent 4 keys just to get 1k tokens (1/6 of a good card), 2 variants that I don't really care about and a card I wasn't even sure I wanted to get in the first place.
Yeah I didn't buy her because I don't particularly like kitty decks I don't like the restriction of only playing two cards and I've never really liked bounce either.

It's also B.S that we don't get to pick a free card each month like everyone else if you have them all in a series thats not cool! We should atleast get alternative items if we don't get the opportunity to pick a card,it's Luke getting punished for being good,having a good deck or spending! Dumb azz model! Hope they change
You keep on comparing her to Angela in terms of value. I think another card she can be compared to is Sage (Again in terms of value). I think her and Gilgamesh are going to be the two best cards.
I wouldn't be surprised if SD nerf Thena in a week or two.. Maybe +2 power instead of +3.
