I LOVE that William Atherton is back! He's one of my favorite "jerk character" actors from 80s. "Frozen Empire" makes more sense when you remember that New York is "The Empire State." Therefore, New York is freezing over.
I didn't understand or like 'Frozen Empire' at first either, but after the trailer and remembering that New York is the Empire state... and seeing NYC - which includes the Empire State Building - get frozen, it totally makes sense now.
Ghostbusters was the very first movie i saw in theaters! I was just 5 years old. Afterlife was a big surprise and i loved it but this one looks even better!
I feel Afterlife introduced us to the next gen, essentially. I feel like Frozen Empire will be the passing of the torch film where the new gen evolves the old tech a bit with help from the OGs. Then we'll see what capacity Bill, Dan & Ernie will be in Afterlife 3. But yeah, it seems like it's going darker in tone than Afterlife was, more along the line of some of the darker cartoon episodes
I'm Happy that finally Callie realize her true calling.. She truly Accepts that she is Egon's Succeesor. And her children too are following the Spangler Legacy.
Announced in 2022, post-Afterlife with a whole lot more GB stuff on the way. It was filmed between spring and summer (like in 3 months), originally slated for Christmas 2023. But pushed back to 2024 because the actors strike. It'll be Ghostbusters' 40th Anniversary when the movie hits. Can't wait.
i think maybe for afterlife they were more likely showing us the kids and newer characters in the trailer to introduce us to the new characters first and this time they don't have to do that.
Hopefully they'll do with the red jumpsuits, what they've failed to do with the blue jumpsuits in Ghostbusters 2. In other words, hopefully they'll put the red jumpsuits to good use and not waste them like they did with the dark navy blue jumpsuits in Ghostbusters 2.
looks like they are following the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon story as they are the Next Generation and at the end of the clip they are actually wearing the Extreme Ghostbuster uniform
This looks good and i am so glad that Paul and the mother are becoming members of the team and i look forward to seeing Peck return after all these years and seeing Genine again but hopefully a larger role in this movie. It will be interesting to see what the villain is all about in this film and its motivation. I love the red design of the suit, flashy but also simple and looks good. I loved Afterlife and i am so happy that the original are returning again in this film, despite how long they are in this movie. I hope they show Slimer in this film. I give this teaser trailer a 👍👍👍👍
So looking forward to this! Awesome that Venkman, Zeddemore and Stanz are are there to help the newer Ghostbusters this time throughout. And maybe, just maybe, a little statisfied to see that weasel, Containment Unit shutting off, pencil neck Peck frozen in ice (I'm guessing that's him, and only that.) Callie's look at Gary at the end though... 🤣 Other than that, let's go!

According to imdb credits, Annie Potts is also returning. I've enjoyed all the Ghostbusters movies, including the Melissa McCarthy/Kristen Wiig version.
I honestly wish they didn't delay it from the Christmas slot, or at least I'd be ok with them delaying it further to next Christmas, in order to fit the theme better. Just doesn't seem like the March 29th slot fits with the frosty, cold theme of the movie. Plus it's a pretty crowded date as well...

I know this is off topic, but are you going to react to the trailer for "Kingdom of the Planet of The Apes"? It looks amazing And so does the trailer for "Godzilla Minus One."
I think Jason reitman is back as a writer though for this sequel and the friend who helped with afterlife I could be wrong but I think they're both writing the script for this one as well
I genuinely really liked the last one (even liked the all-women led one tbh lol). I'll deffo give this one a check out. The last one was more of a drama focusing on the main girl who was on the spectrum and attempting to make sense of life which I feel Jason Reitman explored delicately enough while also merging in the actual Ghostbusters element properly enough that it ended up being a good time at the movies. This sequel looks to be more in line with the classics.
New powerful class level ghost with the ability to freeze and create ice powers to manipulate more powerful than gozer, stay puft, ivo shandor, and vigo.
Hmm!... what if the main spirit is a fellow destructive deity like Gozer and is coming to free it's lover or friend gozer from the containment reactor 🤔

Here is some fun for everyone: The new character with glasses is Oscar? They could be adding a younger, but older mentor character for the younger kids. And why not have Oscar be the one. And I like how he could be young Egon. Pheobe would respect him. The others would follow suit because he is a legacy. What does everyone think? Go wild ^^

HA!!! Look up the movie " Ghost Hunters International: On Icy Trails".. Its a ripoff of ghostbusters from years ago - and it looks like they are taking the story and recycling it into this movie... i surely hope its better!
The reason Ghostbusters worked.. is because you had Scientist\s who were the Ghostbusters.. In my opinion this movie won't do that great! Just doesn't help when everyone can become a Ghostbuster.. Little Timmy.. "Look mommy me too.. I can Banish DEMONS. " Takes away the fun for me and the believably of the movie.

"In between the Vigo incident and Thanksgiving 1991, Winston acquires his doctorate. He mentions that he "pretty much lived" in the museum's exhibit on ancient Egypt while working on getting it, so it could be assumed his degree is in Egyptology or History." So again it makes it more believable. Try Again!
Believable to you. Not to the rest of us that are open to the possibilities of expanded storytelling without staying in the parameters set by your specific and personal imagination.
Who cares I want new Ghostbusters I happy for the reboot in 2016 but I found out gb 2016 too cringe and I close my eyes most of the time due too much cringeness in that movie I open in new gen Ghostbusters I even want a dark horror and gory Ghostbusters

@dragongamer2670 Winston having a doctorate isn't canon anymore. Ghostbusters don't have to be scientists. Louis Tully wasn't a scientist either.
