  • USA Zippo Lighter Restoration Old | Restore and Repair Antique Lighter 100$ Zippo (Help)
Hi. We get a help from the United States. a mailer asking for help fixing an old zippo lighter. It has been inactive for a long time. It was seriously destroyed. We have carried out restoration of zippo lighters in many ways. We use some chemicals to clean the outside of the lighter. It is not possible to use a machine to clean the surface as it may destroy it. Some parts cannot be used, we conduct replacement. After a lot of effort we have completed restoring the old lighter. It has worked normally and is almost new. Thank you everyone for watching our video. Subscribe to the channel to follow the latest videos. Thank you.

+Restoration Scrap As A Veteran Myself 4 Yrs. U.S.M.C. I Am Very Curious of American Products Left Behind During Vietnam War. You Might Want To Think of Having An English Student Do Subtitles For You. Also Most Viewers Want An Original Restoration. Fewer Viewers Will Like The Artistic Choices The Craftsman Makes. For Example Me, I Prefer Original Patina, Not The Matte Brown Patina Burned With Oil. Also I Did Not Like The Silver Paint. I, Like Most Viewer's, Will Tell You We Prefer A "Restoration" Back To The Original. Good Luck.

That combined with the friction of sliding in and out of the case that paint will not last very long and honestly it doesn’t look very good painted to begin with, it should be bare metal.

Nicely done. I particularly like your videos because you don't use any specialized tools that most people wouldn't have.

    Very nice work!!
If it was me, i would only fix the outer shell, then go to any Walmart, buy the cheapest Zippo you can find, and just remove the inner part, fits right in. New everything.

Collectors like matching inserts, however this is a 2016 lighter and for practical use, I very much agree with just replacing the insert. That said, I don’t smoke, so I guess you could put me in the collector category.

I know you do smaller stuff most of the time but you should find an old pro scooter and restore it it would be really cool

The engraving resembles the logo for my old unit: Marine Corps 1/9 (walking dead). Do you have a better image of the engraving?
