Yes. Back in 2013, I purchased a brand new loaded 2013 Toyota Prius Hybrid, in cash. The most trouble free and reliable investment I ever made!. Now in 2021 at nearly 200K miles with regular scheduled maintenance, still running like new, zero issues, zero repairs, amazingly low fuel consumption and incredible savings in fuel expense. Love my Prius!. I retired this year and lol!, looks like my Prius will outlast me!.
I love everything about this so much and I have had the exact same experience with my 2015 model (except I purchased it with 104,000 miles). Amazing vehicles!
I bought this exact same car 3 months ago and I absolutely love it! More than my 07 BMW 530i, which I drove for 11 years! I don’t even miss it. It’s like driving a computer, can’t believe how smooth and solid the car is on the road. Incredible visibility, comfort…and ridiculous MPG!! I drive it just for the hell of it these days and it’s my office away from home! And it doesn’t hurt that it’s the most reliable car ever made! I’m sold.
Subscribed. I’m 26 and got my first car at 16 years old in 2011 which was a first generation 2001 electric green mica Prius. It had 140,000 miles, bought in Mid-2010 and still averaged 46 mpg over the 19,000 miles I drove it. But less than a year later, I was involved in an accident in that vehicle in July 2011 where I swerved too hard at 55 MPH at 10:30 at night to miss a deer and lost control and rolled twice after going into a ditch sideways at 55 mph, walked away with 1 scratch, and craving greasy McDonald’s the next day after such a scare. I’ve been so into these cars since I was 12, and have driven and also bought/owned all 4 generations. I currently have 30,700 miles on my 2016 Gen.4 Two Eco that I bought brand new in August of 2016 in Columbus. I had to special order the hypersonic red with the harvest beige interior, with 1 mile on the ODO and will be paid off this August, I’ve averaged a lifetime fuel economy of 58 MPG over 30,700 miles driving in northern WV / Pittsburgh, PA. I cannot recommend it enough.
Last Monday I purchased a 2021 Toyota Prius Prime XLE (plug-in) and I love this car! I average about 30 miles all electric with the plug-in and the hybrid systems kicks in after that. I’ve been averaging just under 200 MPGs with usually 100 miles driven per day. Best car!
Even if i don’t care about the vehicle you view i just get in and like. BEST CAR GUY EVER 😄👍🏻🔥
You’re awesome! I am so grateful for your kind words, my friend!!
This video is perhaps the most instructional, well-organized, and enjoyable one I've watched. I learned so much about this Prius that I may purchase one based on this video alone. Thank you "sooooo" much for your knowledge, sense of humor, and the "friendly" way you presented it ... I learned much from watching it ... AND oh yes I subscribed
Wow my friend! I so appreciate your kind words and positive feedback. I’m so glad I was able to help!!!
Just bought one today! I love it!
Congratulations on a very informative presentation video Brock! I am an additional subscriber today!
I bought a blue 2021 Prius for the design. I love this car!
Such a good review!
Thank you for detailed review!
Thanks for everything you explaining
You did a great job on this video.
Wow great review
This was so helpful! Thank you.
Just bought a 2018 with 39k on it so far so good love the mpg and all the cool features! Thanks for the review good stuff man.
I totally agree with you. I have driven a lot of cars and the Prius is the absolute best car to me.
I’ve had this exact car for almost 3 years. Love it. Never a problem. Can’t think of any reason to get something new. It’s simply smart. And I think it looks good too. I have no problem getting occasional shit from some friends.
Very comprehensible review. I have the prius prime advance and is tight with the best car I ever have. I don't like about it the missing room mode. Other wise would have been the best and the 60 might is outstanding. The dynamic cruse control is brilliant.
Your comments on the 2021 Toyota Prius XLE are one of the best and most detailed I've seen. When possible could you do the same on a Toyota Prius Prime XLE or Premium. It would be fantastic!
Very well explained. I was a proud owner of PRIUS V. Amazing changes are brought in the new Prius.
Wish they still did the Prius v
Nice socks! Lol. Thanks for the update.
Thank you so much!! 🤣
I own a 21 Sienna hybrid and a 08 corolla. I absolutely love them. Best review.
Thank you my friend!
Nice job, sir! Best reviews on CZcams 👍🏽
Bro. Super helpful video. I literally just bought a Prius and I have spent all day looking stuff up and you answered half the questions I was looking for. Wish I would have seen this in the morning lol. BTW, do you know why Siri talks over music when using the Maps navigation on iPhone and plugged in with Carplay? In my old car, it would auto turn down the music while Siri gave directions. I could turn the volume up or down while Siri talked. This doesn't seem to have any effect. It turns both music and Siri up or down.
Best Explanation video for Prius
Glad you liked it and thank you for stopping by!!!
Your views on Plug in Hybrids and/or Full EV’s vs traditional Hybrids. I’m a Current owner of 2014 Avalon Hybrid, and 2015 Prius V Limited (My favorite car of all time) . Thanks. Best of lucky with your new sales career.
Well done
Nice definition of a Prius!
Well Toyota is the best car company I ever saw.
Thanks for starting with rear legroom. This what exactly what I wanted to know. Wondering about the prime though too.
You are most welcome - glad I could help! I would think the Prime would be virtually the same in rear leg room. There may be a slight difference due to a difference in battery size but I’m not 100% sure.
🤣Love the socks!
I have 175k on my 2017 prius 4 with tech package and sunroof. Paid 27.5k. Have only spent 800 on maintenance other than oil changes. It drives as smooth as the day i bought it. Averaging 63.5 mpg per computer for lifetime but i calculate this is about 3 mpg better than true mpg. Still phenomenal. Best car for the money on the planet. Hoping to get 300k before replacing in 2024-25. Hopefully an even better prius will be out by then. I also owned a 2nd and 3rd generation prius. Each generation blows away previous one.
Just bought a new 2021 Prius Limited. Love getting 62-64 mpg. Could you do a video on the 11 inch infotainment screen. The controls are different that the smaller screen.
Love my 2013 red Prius II. Just turned 101,000 miles.
Awesome! Prius is my favorite car ever
yep, i love at how it looks. i own a 2012.i recently total the car. i might have to get a 2019. i cannot afford the newer ones. well, i could but i would be eating ramen for a while if i do. LOL
I own three priuss.u are absolutely 💯 right is the best car on the planet.
Yesss! My Prius is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned! Thank you for the feedback!
Best hybrid car in the world...
"Auto-magically"? First time hearing that term. Had to laugh!
🤣🤣
BSM = Bacon Sandwich Maker...LOL
👍😄😂🤣
I leased the Toyota Sienna hybrid, and it rocks!!!
It is such an amazing vehicle!!! Congratulations and thank you so much for stopping by!!
How are you liking the Sienna?
How much are the payments? I really want to lease one but my local dealerships has a ton of markups on them
I wonder how many people will think you are just blowing smoke ? :) But guess what, I've owned about 8 brand new vehicles, and 8 or 10 used ones, and my 2019 Prius LE was the nicest vehicle I've ever owned as well :) ....then, 2 weeks ago it was stolen and destroyed :( But yesterday, I got a brand spanking new 2022 XLE to replace it :) I'm happy again :) Going to be driving the wheels off of this one as well :) Last April, I drove 9500 miles in that one month ! Plus I car camped about 20 days. SO convenient, comfortable, and cheap ;) Love, LOVE my Prius :)
Best car in the world. I owned a 2008 with over 185,000 miles and it was flawless
That’s what I’m talking about! Mine just clicked 176k - I’m catching up to you😃
I had a 08 prius and loved it. I camped in it and being alone had half the back actually a little more packed with video gear on a trip to a music festival. I had a ton of cameras in the car stored for the video production which I was getting. And I could camp in the prius at times at some of the festivals. Sleeping in one side of the vehicle. One year in 2012 there was a heat wave and I was sleeping in the prius as night time temperatures were still near 100 degrees. The car worked fine and would start and stop the engine when the battery got low. But I turned it on accessory one night the last night of the festival by mistake and the starter battery died as it was trying to run the car off the 12 volt and wouldn't start. I didn't know how to jump it. You jump it with the other cars engine not running because the starter battery powers up the computer it doesn't start the car. The car is started by the hybrid pack. So I had it towed to the dealer and they fixed it up while I recovered in a motel. That was when I made the mistake of camping and didn't realize if I didn't hit the start button twice without the brake pedal pressed it was only in accessory mode. So pushing down the pedal when starting it at night is preferable make sure the engine starts and runs and you're not running the AC off the accessory mode or you can have a seemingly and actually dead Prius. I loved the vehicle and retired and hardly drive it but it had 130,000 miles and I hoped to get many more on it. But a neighbor kid hit it in the side and hardly damaged the car, but bent the rear axle and that and the other fix up damage meant it would be $5500 for the insurance company to pay. This just before COVID hit. So the insurance company decided they wanted to total it. So although these are great they are expensive to repair and when they get older the insurance company may want to total it. So I got the money but didn't get a replacement old prius which was a big mistake now that used vehicles are not cheap due to the car shortage. I drove my old hardly ever driven F150 which had only 10,000 miles put on it in 15 years. And all that sitting was not good for my backup truck toy. So the truck started having all kinds of problems. Now I've spent maybe $7k, on the truck since maybe 8 months before covid. And put all kinds of repairs on it and it still floods and won't start but runs like a top when it can. So I have a used F150 that is like a toy due to it's age but not reliable. I have an EBIKE as well to get groceries. I mean I have an old almost historic F150 from 1998 and it should be easy and fast to repair, but everyone is overworked and parts a scarce. So repairing anything even new cars can't happen. This makes me wish I had a prius or fixed the old one and paid the difference over say $5500 or maybe wait and get an electric vehicle with less maintanance. But the Prius had almost no repair issues. I had a dealer who has a "family deal" advertized and they did one fix for a problem which used up my extended care warrenty. But I found out they always offer $9.99 oil changes at least they used to and find $800 of repairs that have to happen because they are looking to repair the cars with useless repairs which are not needed. They wanted to give me new brakes for 800 on my Prius at 60,000 miles and I took it to a different mechanic who said I had half the wear only on the brakes and they should last to 120,000 miles. Which is what happened. I didn't have to get brakes done until 120,000. So I won't ever by a car by that dealer again. But I may buy a Prius from some other dealer. But I want to OWN AN APTERA which is a 30k vehicle. The Prius is more functional for hauling more people. So I really like the Prius, but beware for overnight camping make sure you actually have it running so it won't drain the accessory battery. The starter battery is not large enough to use for accessories so don't put invertors on that small battery it runs little things in the car but primarily is used to FIRE UP the PRIUS computer. Prius is a great car. I just hope if I get one I don't have someone hit it and total it again. And I hope to go to full electric eventually. So I'm kind of torn as new cars are not available that are affordable and used are ridiculously high priced. I would really prefer a reverse enclosed trike like a NIMBUS HALO if they work out or an APTERA for grocery shopping to get like a penny a mile cost for driving and less parts to have to repair. But that is for retired grocery shopping, not taking a couple people with you as most really affordable reverse motorcycles or autocycles can't deal with 3 or 4 people. A Prius can.
On your prius, do you do uncommon maintenance things like changing the fuel filter/trans fluid?
The rear of the new Prius reminds me of the early 2000s Celica.
Wow! Good eye. I hadn’t thought of that but I can see it too.
I love this car inside the prius did they have grey seats because my uncle who lives in Paris they have the 2013 toyota prius
I can't seem to find a Prius XLE in my area to buy. How do this handle in snow/ice?
It's been several years, and they still haven't put a brake hold feature in it. Yet, the Corolla hybrid got it since its debut. Weird...
Brake hold is only on the new electronic emergency brake system. Very expensive to repair. The Prius still has the manual emergency brake pedal over near the dead pedal.
I have the same shoes!
We have a 2008 Prius with 150,000 miles on it. Someone totaled it about 4 years ago by backing into it in a parking lot. No note left. Damage was to the bumper only. All of the sensors on current cars is a bit concerning. It would be very expensive to make repairs for a minor bump. Yesterday we were driving our Prius and the brake light and all the other emergency dash lights came on. We also lost braking power for a short time. It's currently waiting in the shop for a diagnosis of the problem. We've loved our Prius but it''s starting to act up. Would still probably buy a new Prius if we needed a new car.
I test drove a brand new 2019 years ago. 100 degree south Texas weather that day. I drove a white one. The AC was cold!!!!! I seriously have been thinking about it ever since!!! Was it because of the color or the ac system??? I test drove a green one days later and it wasn’t as cold as the white Prius. So I guess the myth of white cars being cooler is true? Either way I still fantasize about that white Prius to this day. Just that insurance is going to be $100 more a month to insure it. And I just paid off my car now and I don’t know about starting over again. But did I mentioned I loved the AC lol. It was amazing.
I agree about the Moonstone dash being too bright. Too bad they did that really because the Moonstone seats are so nice. But I would end up choosing the all black interior.
Same here. Black interior for me as well. Would be nice to have a dash that wasn’t so bright. Thank you for contributing to the conversation!!
Yes. Was in one yesterday. Seems like it would get dirty quick and hard to clean
Upsetting.. lmao. My first one was so quiet there was that on going joke the best car to do a drive by in was my Prius cause it would sneak in all neighborhoods 🤣🤣
I say that both my Prius Hybrid and Prime as LIMITED styles are the best.
Toyota prius (not prime) is something out of ordinary unless you own it you can’t know what it is but so comfortable to sleep in on driver’s seat because it folds like an flat bed the best bed it’s the best feature I found I let my secret out
I really hope I can buy this Car. Do you know the prices?
Does the Prius have a spare tire and fix a flat?
Great question! From what I saw it looks like the only option is the fix a flat option.
@@HowToCarGuy on the 2021 Prius, only the front-wheel-drive version of the LE comes from the factory equipped with a temporary spare tire. All other trim levels have a fix-a-flat kit. 🙂 Another fun Prius fact... the AWDe version of the XLE *_deletes_* the power driver's seat.
@@HowToCarGuy looks like it had a jack and tools .
the only thing i'm not a fan of these new prius are they don't have spare tires.
Are you noticing a shortage of new and used vehicles in your area?
inventories are at an all-time low in my region.
Yes! It’s absolutely crazy. The Lexus dealership I used to work at currently has less than 10 new vehicles and less than 15 used vehicles. Dealerships are getting retail prices at auction right now. Never seen anything like it.
@@HowToCarGuy Certainly not a good time to buy a vehicle, even the rental car companies have jacked up their prices.
Hi, greetings from Italy. I've purchased a Prius in 2020, brandnew. I've taken the lower version because the richer has that puncture repairing kit that really sucks! My version has a spare wheel (that tiny spare wheel), so that when you are in trouble it can save your day! I took a bend too narrow and hit the side of tyre agains the curb, with a flat in ten seconds. If I had had the repairing kit... no way, it barely works when the puncture is only on the tread). So, strongly advisable to have a spare wheel on board, I'd never choose a car whit that useless kit
Won't you film a RAV4 Prime?
I would love to! Having a hard time finding one in my area. I will definitely keep an eye out for one. Thank you for the request!!!
@@HowToCarGuy Great, recently I had to rent a car for a trip and I was hoping to get a Camry, no such luck. Instead I got a crappy Charger.
I've talked to several dealerships almost every RAV4 Prime is pre-sold. 8 to 12 week shipping from Japan. I'm looking at an Prius Prime xle or now the Prius xle
Just wear sunglasses
Too bad the floor is not flat when the 2nd row seats are down and that there is no tiny tire
This dude kinda reminds me of Steve o
Now remember. This car was designed 20 years ago. The Japanese makers have improved the Prius continually
I am going to buy the prius but l am not going to buy the toyota prius 2021 but l will buy the toyota prius hybrid xle 2021
Bacon Sandwich Maker
Hair couple inches long LOL
They look like they have a nose. I don't like that
