Yes. Back in 2013, I purchased a brand new loaded 2013 Toyota Prius Hybrid, in cash. The most trouble free and reliable investment I ever made!. Now in 2021 at nearly 200K miles with regular scheduled maintenance, still running like new, zero issues, zero repairs, amazingly low fuel consumption and incredible savings in fuel expense. Love my Prius!. I retired this year and lol!, looks like my Prius will outlast me!.

I bought this exact same car 3 months ago and I absolutely love it! More than my 07 BMW 530i, which I drove for 11 years! I don’t even miss it. It’s like driving a computer, can’t believe how smooth and solid the car is on the road. Incredible visibility, comfort…and ridiculous MPG!! I drive it just for the hell of it these days and it’s my office away from home! And it doesn’t hurt that it’s the most reliable car ever made! I’m sold.

Subscribed. I’m 26 and got my first car at 16 years old in 2011 which was a first generation 2001 electric green mica Prius. It had 140,000 miles, bought in Mid-2010 and still averaged 46 mpg over the 19,000 miles I drove it. But less than a year later, I was involved in an accident in that vehicle in July 2011 where I swerved too hard at 55 MPH at 10:30 at night to miss a deer and lost control and rolled twice after going into a ditch sideways at 55 mph, walked away with 1 scratch, and craving greasy McDonald’s the next day after such a scare. I’ve been so into these cars since I was 12, and have driven and also bought/owned all 4 generations. I currently have 30,700 miles on my 2016 Gen.4 Two Eco that I bought brand new in August of 2016 in Columbus. I had to special order the hypersonic red with the harvest beige interior, with 1 mile on the ODO and will be paid off this August, I’ve averaged a lifetime fuel economy of 58 MPG over 30,700 miles driving in northern WV / Pittsburgh, PA. I cannot recommend it enough.

Last Monday I purchased a 2021 Toyota Prius Prime XLE (plug-in) and I love this car! I average about 30 miles all electric with the plug-in and the hybrid systems kicks in after that. I’ve been averaging just under 200 MPGs with usually 100 miles driven per day. Best car!

Bro. Super helpful video. I literally just bought a Prius and I have spent all day looking stuff up and you answered half the questions I was looking for. Wish I would have seen this in the morning lol. BTW, do you know why Siri talks over music when using the Maps navigation on iPhone and plugged in with Carplay? In my old car, it would auto turn down the music while Siri gave directions. I could turn the volume up or down while Siri talked. This doesn't seem to have any effect. It turns both music and Siri up or down.

I have 175k on my 2017 prius 4 with tech package and sunroof. Paid 27.5k. Have only spent 800 on maintenance other than oil changes. It drives as smooth as the day i bought it. Averaging 63.5 mpg per computer for lifetime but i calculate this is about 3 mpg better than true mpg. Still phenomenal. Best car for the money on the planet. Hoping to get 300k before replacing in 2024-25. Hopefully an even better prius will be out by then. I also owned a 2nd and 3rd generation prius. Each generation blows away previous one.

I had a 08 prius and loved it. I camped in it and being alone had half the back actually a little more packed with video gear on a trip to a music festival. I had a ton of cameras in the car stored for the video production which I was getting. And I could camp in the prius at times at some of the festivals. Sleeping in one side of the vehicle. One year in 2012 there was a heat wave and I was sleeping in the prius as night time temperatures were still near 100 degrees. The car worked fine and would start and stop the engine when the battery got low. But I turned it on accessory one night the last night of the festival by mistake and the starter battery died as it was trying to run the car off the 12 volt and wouldn't start. I didn't know how to jump it. You jump it with the other cars engine not running because the starter battery powers up the computer it doesn't start the car. The car is started by the hybrid pack. So I had it towed to the dealer and they fixed it up while I recovered in a motel. That was when I made the mistake of camping and didn't realize if I didn't hit the start button twice without the brake pedal pressed it was only in accessory mode. So pushing down the pedal when starting it at night is preferable make sure the engine starts and runs and you're not running the AC off the accessory mode or you can have a seemingly and actually dead Prius. I loved the vehicle and retired and hardly drive it but it had 130,000 miles and I hoped to get many more on it. But a neighbor kid hit it in the side and hardly damaged the car, but bent the rear axle and that and the other fix up damage meant it would be $5500 for the insurance company to pay. This just before COVID hit. So the insurance company decided they wanted to total it. So although these are great they are expensive to repair and when they get older the insurance company may want to total it. So I got the money but didn't get a replacement old prius which was a big mistake now that used vehicles are not cheap due to the car shortage. I drove my old hardly ever driven F150 which had only 10,000 miles put on it in 15 years. And all that sitting was not good for my backup truck toy. So the truck started having all kinds of problems. Now I've spent maybe $7k, on the truck since maybe 8 months before covid. And put all kinds of repairs on it and it still floods and won't start but runs like a top when it can. So I have a used F150 that is like a toy due to it's age but not reliable. I have an EBIKE as well to get groceries. I mean I have an old almost historic F150 from 1998 and it should be easy and fast to repair, but everyone is overworked and parts a scarce. So repairing anything even new cars can't happen. This makes me wish I had a prius or fixed the old one and paid the difference over say $5500 or maybe wait and get an electric vehicle with less maintanance. But the Prius had almost no repair issues. I had a dealer who has a "family deal" advertized and they did one fix for a problem which used up my extended care warrenty. But I found out they always offer $9.99 oil changes at least they used to and find $800 of repairs that have to happen because they are looking to repair the cars with useless repairs which are not needed. They wanted to give me new brakes for 800 on my Prius at 60,000 miles and I took it to a different mechanic who said I had half the wear only on the brakes and they should last to 120,000 miles. Which is what happened. I didn't have to get brakes done until 120,000. So I won't ever by a car by that dealer again. But I may buy a Prius from some other dealer. But I want to OWN AN APTERA which is a 30k vehicle. The Prius is more functional for hauling more people. So I really like the Prius, but beware for overnight camping make sure you actually have it running so it won't drain the accessory battery. The starter battery is not large enough to use for accessories so don't put invertors on that small battery it runs little things in the car but primarily is used to FIRE UP the PRIUS computer. Prius is a great car. I just hope if I get one I don't have someone hit it and total it again. And I hope to go to full electric eventually. So I'm kind of torn as new cars are not available that are affordable and used are ridiculously high priced. I would really prefer a reverse enclosed trike like a NIMBUS HALO if they work out or an APTERA for grocery shopping to get like a penny a mile cost for driving and less parts to have to repair. But that is for retired grocery shopping, not taking a couple people with you as most really affordable reverse motorcycles or autocycles can't deal with 3 or 4 people. A Prius can.

We have a 2008 Prius with 150,000 miles on it. Someone totaled it about 4 years ago by backing into it in a parking lot. No note left. Damage was to the bumper only. All of the sensors on current cars is a bit concerning. It would be very expensive to make repairs for a minor bump. Yesterday we were driving our Prius and the brake light and all the other emergency dash lights came on. We also lost braking power for a short time. It's currently waiting in the shop for a diagnosis of the problem. We've loved our Prius but it''s starting to act up. Would still probably buy a new Prius if we needed a new car.

I test drove a brand new 2019 years ago. 100 degree south Texas weather that day. I drove a white one. The AC was cold!!!!! I seriously have been thinking about it ever since!!! Was it because of the color or the ac system??? I test drove a green one days later and it wasn’t as cold as the white Prius. So I guess the myth of white cars being cooler is true? Either way I still fantasize about that white Prius to this day. Just that insurance is going to be $100 more a month to insure it. Hi, greetings from Italy. I've purchased a Prius in 2020, brandnew. I've taken the lower version because the richer has that puncture repairing kit that really sucks! My version has a spare wheel (that tiny spare wheel), so that when you are in trouble it can save your day! I took a bend too narrow and hit the side of tyre agains the curb, with a flat in ten seconds. If I had had the repairing kit... no way, it barely works when the puncture is only on the tread). So, strongly advisable to have a spare wheel on board, I'd never choose a car whit that useless kit
