It's too bad that there is no more "LIVE FROM HERE". Not enough money to keep it alive. While lt was around ,Chris Thiele did a more than outstanding job.
Nailed the vibe. The piano sounds glorious. Elizondo's bass is huge. And Sarah crushes the vocal. Again.
I just came back to listen to it (yet again) as part of my sitting shiva for LFH. And when the piano came in, I thought "It should have had that prominence in the original."
Sarah crushes every vocal!

You would think with 186 thousand subscribers, LFH deserves to be returned to the air. Come on APM!
I just got back from seeing Sarah and the Punch Brothers perform this at their show here in Seattle. Wow, wow, wow!!! As much as I love the performance in this video, they took it to a whole new level tonight. Sarah's vocals were so powerful throughout and, different from this version, she held the very last note of the song for an unbelievably long time at full power. Awesome! For me, it was the highlight of a fantastic show.
I love Sarah Jarosz!!!
Same thing at the New Haven, CT show. Teardrops and shivers!
Her singing reminds me of that of Roy Orbison. Incredibly powerful, yet it seems completely effortless.
There is no song she can’t make better.
I always get goosebumps when I hear this song. This time my goosebumps had goosebumps.
Same here. Mindblowing.
Live from here covers are just endless gifts, I'm always astounded by how much they cover. So sad the show was cancelled..
I was driving home from work listening to this and I had to pull my truck over and stop and listen closely. Such a beautiful mesmerizing tune. She's fantastic!
Just watched this three times because I couldn't freaking believe what I had seen the first two.
How did you stop at three?
The violin and the mandolin add some great flavor to this song.
Ahh I remember when Mezzanine first came out. I played it over and over .... I was in awe then and am in awe of this as well.... fantastic version.
Greatest afterparty sex album ever ")
When the Punch Brothers and Sarah performed this in Salt Lake today… it was electric! I’ve never been so floored by a cover before. It’s like it was meant to be done by that group!
Teardrop with Sarah Jarosz was absolutely electric!
I heard this live at @ Red Butte Garden at the American Acoustic 2022 concert. The performance was pure magic - light years above and beyond this recording. Punch Brothers and Sara Jarosz are amazing.
Would love to get this on spotify or mp3, etc...
I'm so glad I live on the same planet as Sarah and Chris.
There's a lot of online apps that'll let you download youtube videos into mp3. Not great quality but still decent. After that you can send a donation to the artists included that you think is fair!
Ah yes, I did that a long time ago.. Spotify has made me lazy!
Couldn't agree more! Waiting for the Sarah/Chris collab to drop.......
I miss this show so much.
It's probably good I wasn't at the live show; I would have literally swooned on the floor and made a scene. Indeed, everything about this reading was absolutely perfect. And how glorious to see a genius of Thile's level going "I am a percussive fade-away attack machine" and just nailing it. That obsessive approach to every note he plays, no matter the context, is a thing of beauty. And yes, Sarah channeling Elizabeth Fraser was awesome.
Well said Lee, thank you.
She's pretty awesome and versatile. Can also channel Joni Mitchell - heard her do it twice in concert.
That was insane! Great job, Sarah!!! And the band. Missing "Live from Here" so much!
I had to come back here. At 2:30, you have the bass, drums, and Chris's mando-synth riff. But out of nowhere (off-camera) Alex's violin produces this otherworldly cosmic shriek that cuts across the whole thing, and your entire soul shivers.
Alex Hargreaves is a fantastic violinist. I'm so glad he joined Billy Strings' band earlier this summer.
Wow Sarah is truly an amazing artist, everything she touches turns to gold
Dang, man... One of my favorite songs paired with Sarah's beautiful voice. 👌🏼 And the band nailed it perfectly.
Wow! Amazingly restrained, dark, moody, elegant, full, rich sound. Mr. Thile you are a musical wizard.
These arrangements are absolutely awesome! Song after song - better than the originals. Live from Here has produced a truly impressive body of work. Their talent and dedication always shine through.
This is such a good l, faithful recreation of the original. Sarah rocks. I always find myself wishing she’d really let it fly just a little more. Just saw her tour (and have tickets to see her again at the end of the summer) and the best songs were when she and the band cut loose
Had to remind myself to breathe. Wow.
Right? Me too!
How does this performance only have 49K views. Sarah and this group of musicians kills this song.
What's wild is, she can sing as a featured vocalist an blow us away, and it might not be in her top five skills. Songwriting, banjo, mando, octave, guitar, all arguably even better. No one else like her.
I come back to listen to this at least once a month along with the Dance Yrself Clean cover (and many others). It is so sad this show got canceled and these covers will no longer happen. 2020 really is the worst. I won tickets to a Fall 2019 show I ended not being able to go to. Huge mistake on my part....
Knocked it out of the park!! Absolutely perfect
Y'all covering Massive Attack made my Christmas.
Breathtaking! I’ve loved this song ever since it was the theme song for House. Wonderful job!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
love this, keep coming back even after 2 years, perfect vocal, fabulous arrangement, just an audacious acoustic version of a heavy electronica song, the musicians are all pretty much all virtuosos, but they all play in service to the song, and some times, like this time, they just kill it.
Sarah again shows her amazing vocals. Handles multiple styles beautifully.
I need this!
Love. Love. LOVE THIS!!
I love this song covered by Sarah Jarosz.
Wow, this lass just keeps getting better!
May I suggest Sarah includes this performance on her next album?
I would love to have it.
So cool, across the board. Great to see Sarah and Alex on the stage together. Live from Here is truly on a roll!
That was incredible! What a band!!
This is such a chilling great song. The band is so intense
Sarah continues to amaze! Stunning!
I learn so much from these wonderful musicians. Merci!
Geez, I love this more every day!!
So glad you posted this. One of my favorite things from last week's show.
Out of this world!
you guys were so brilliant here
Killed it. Fantastic!!!
Beautiful!! ❤
I have to give Sarah credit for stepping out of her element... amazing and courageous work here!
Sarah, you never fail to amaze me with your talent. This tune, though familiar, wasn't one I could identify in real-time. Your vocal and Mike's super low bass tone were fantastic!
Incerebly beautiful! ✌🏻🙏🏻
This is an amazing version I’m loving this
Wonderful to watch the music snake all around inside Chris
Great arrangement and performance, bravo!
Sarah Jarosz can do anything!! So much talent.
Wonderful performance by all involved! Bravo Sarah Jarosz!!!
*goosebumps*
What a rendition that creates tears of wonderment.
Love it!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing
Yeah I'm crying now.
Ha, I also cry when I hear LFR covers. That should say it all.
Very, very nice !
I love her...
Awesome 👌
Just got turned on to her wonderful pure voice. LOVE IT
Beautiful....Timeless Song (((💜))) 🌺🙏🏽🥰💙🌊💚🌎
Class.
I just want to keep hitting the like button.
That was fucking brilliant!! ❤
I miss live concerts more than ever after hearing this...
So atmospheric....like dreaming when you're awake but not all that sure if you are or not....love that voice....her backing band ain't so bad neither!
Sé de esta canción hace más bien poco, pero escucharla y estoy enganchado a ella
Damn
Damn
Well
Done
Perfect 😎👍👍
I am In love.
Whow ! Da kommt das unerwartet auf einen zu und ... BÄM !!! Whow ... Genial !!!
CHILINGLY HAUNTING BEAUTIFUL SONG..
Jarosz's interpretation of this song has changed: in her 2022 performances of it with Punch Brothers she powerfully nails the high As, diverging from Elizabeth Fraser's more subtle style.
Two of my favourite things colliding and merging. Woulda been ameliorated if Garisson Keillor's baritone had joined in. Anyone going to Massive Attack's European tour dates? Buy me a ticket so we can throw glitter at Banksy!
This song - this show - needs Garrison Keillor like a fish needs a bicycle.
@@leehjones Well, there's always Gary FISHER bicycles! :P
Very very good.
wow
bass sounding monster here
God Damn SJ gets the magic here. My pant leg didnt shake from the bass like it does on the album but its still pretty good.
Wow, cover massive attack 😮
She already has... Once on Live From Here... and the American Acoustic Tour last year.... with Punch Brothers... here you go. czcams.com/video/M0eOyhuA-dQ/video.html
chills the whole time.
also shout out to adam scott on the violin
Surprising cover.
Love, love is a verb

You're stumbling in the dark
You're stumbling in the dark
If you gave me a million guesses, I would never have dream Sarah Jarosz would be covering one of the coolest Trip Hop tracks ever produced. It’s awesome… but very unexpected.
That girl can do anything. :) Love her new releases. Looking forward to the new album in January. :)
@@sharonmickey4566 Another new release?! She’s yet to put out one weak album so I’m sure I’ll love it. Thx for the heads up :-)
2 new songs. Jealous Moon and this one.... it's beautiful.. czcams.com/video/7gI3m22TmrI/video.html
Aurora has an amazing cover of this song.
Quelle maîtrise dans la voix! C'est sublime😍 (sorry dont know how to tell this in english😓)
En anglais, on dit "C'est sublime". ;-)
wow. that works.
Why am I just learning about this cover right now????
Hauntingly beautiful. Better than the original.
takes a lot of Chutzpah to do a Liz Fraser vocal cover. Sweet Sarah nails it. (Miss you, kiddo)
Ambient bluegrass. Wow
She has been playing this live on her '24 tour and crushing it, probably better than this version.
House should have this as the intro!
Forgot Noam Pikelny on the banjo.
HIS NAME IS PICKLES
@@kylepmore2842 His name is Pickles.
Always nice to see Alex on stage with Sarah again... and covering Liz Fraser at that... ::swoon:: although, gotta admit, I now want to hear Sarah sing some of the more incoherent Cocteau Twins lines. I mean, hey, singing all those Dylan covers must have paid off in singing a random jumble of words, right?
oh jeez, and you've got Matt on drums too... I've died and gone to heaven.
The reverb on the snare tho . . .
