I did knit the Riptide as a absolute beginner, Jennifer has written the pattern so well it was very easy for me to follow and a very enjoyable knit. Highly recommend the pattern, makes a great knit for both Spring & Autumn.
The Campus Vest looks like another very versatile garment, love the grandpa vibe. If I was to knit this I would do the longer version and use lovely wooden buttons.

I am most interested in the Hyacinth because, like you said, it would look great with a long sleeved shirt underneath and a pair of jeans. Plus no buttons and I like where it lands on the hip. It looks flattering to wear and a pop of color is fun! Great video!
