Hey John. I'm a newb, but have my own welding shop and was thinking of putzing around and TIG'ing some stuff. Chassis/frames, links, etc. I thought SS welding rod would work. But was also thinking some brass or bronze would be cool. Also thought of going to the local bicycle shop and seeing if I can get a hand full of old spokes. I'll check out your channel to see if you've got any videos. 👍

Thoughts: add some distance markers on the track for comparison, and possibly change on the gearing on the sled so a full pull takes longer. Just thoughts from the full scale world of pulling!
The track is still new. Distance markers is a great idea. We plan to keep it around 13 ft because that is 1:24 of the full scale world of pulling. Technically 1/24 of 300ft would be 12.5, but we may need to go 13.5 based on our current gearing. The goal is to keep it small so it can be done in smaller shops that can't host 1/10th.
What's the pulling sled? I'm looking for one for my 24's and 1/18 scales

just sold my sled few months back , we use to have friday night sled pulls for 20 yrs , rc hobby is dying in my area. no hobby shops within 100 miles mail order only.
