"Lend me your strength" is what Aerith says every time she calls up a summon in battle. So I suppose that line is her summoning Holy.
Definitely the prayer for Holy from Aerith. The first time I watched the trailer, that ending clip with Aerith absolutely looks like the fated scene in the forgotten capital - complete with black sephiroth feathers( and according to some people, whispers?)
In the Japanese version, she says something like "Planet, please lend me your strength", so yeah

After seeing how much detail they put into the Gold Saucer date here, it's _CRAZY_ that they revealed on the SE site that all of the variations of the dating sequence can still occur. There are SO MANY possibilities for how things can play out there!
And surely there will be an achievement to watch them all.

@@justinl8791 I say let it happen. Death is permanent. All this shit about changing fate doesn't run right with me. The whole story was about accepting the loss, not rewriting it. You don't get your loved ones back when they're gone and that's what made the game so impactful.

Hear me out: we were deceived in the first game: what we thought was Biggs surviving was actually a scene from Zack's timeline. Biggs and Jesse are still dead in Cloud's timeline, but not in Zack's and they just survived whatever may have killed Barret, Tifa, Red in Zack's timeline as we saw in the first Rebirth trailer.
Spot on. Looks like we're getting a "Zack Timeline" where a whole bunch of stuff gets flipped and changed from what we know. Why? Who knows, I guess we'll find out.
I'm guessing Marlene knowing things in Zack's timeline will have something to do with her reaction when Aerith touches her before saving her from Seventh Heaven.
(I was mad salty over the end of the first FF7 Remake despite it being a flawless game since it felt completely out of place, now I'm not too concerned if we're getting divergent timelines but still a main, canonical one - I didn't want them to just retcon too much stuff)

These alternate timelines are definitely related to the lifestream just like the beginning/end of the original we see Aerith and her foreshadowed fate. I think advent children's ending just further pushes this theory. Cloud seeing Zack and Aerith together for a brief moment, while helping the last kids get cured from the Geostigma in the lifestream.
You mean during the final scene in AC, the Aerith and Zack we see are not “dead” but the other timeline versions? If so, that would be sweet.
@@RangerMcFriendly Feels more and more like this is the case. Before when I first watched AC, obviously I assumed they were dead, but their spirts could still connect with cloud through the lifestream. Now I'm thinking in a totally different way, due to how this remake seems to be headed.

@@LeeH1989 Even in the original nothing fully dies, it's soul returns to the planets energy, the lifestream. The part where this is different in Aeris's case though, is her activating the white materia and casting holy. After doing that, her soul is directing the lifestream to save the planet from meteor. So yes she maybe a part of the afterlife (the lifestream), it's very plausible that the alternate timeline is her and Zacks story of fully directing the lifestream to it's final encounter with meteor.

I was so surprised to see how these different characters faced different fates because of that battle with Sephiroth in the first part. And, I also realized that Aerith says the exact same thing Sephiroth says at the Edge of Creation, "Lend me your strength".
When Aerith and Marlene met the first time in the bar, Aerith "gave" her something. Maybe the wisdom of both timelines just like she did, when Red was touched on the forehead by Aerith
This was my first thought as well. That somehow Aerith in the current timeline, that seems to know everything, somehow passes information to Marlene in every timeline (which occurs in the bar during the plate collapse chapter in Remake).
Know what, you are probably right. At the end of remake Red already diviated from the script because he 100% agreed to help them to find Sephiroth, saying "You'll need a nose like mine." In OG7 red said "I'll help, but only as far as Cosmo Canyon." Or something like that. it's almost like he has been given more knowledge than he should know at this time, and he described it as such in that Aerith's childhood home scene
Now Marlene is acting that exact same way ever since Aerith touched her head and calmed her.
@chimerakait Also consider that Red also saw the flash of the end of OG 7 and told everyone that was their future if they failed. He also knows more than he should at this point
There was an interesting moment in that scene where Aerith shushed her as if to say “I know you know, but don’t say anything.”
So maybe that’s what Marlene wanted to say to Barret before the rescue mission
Yuuuuup this is EXACTLY what's going on! Once all of the theories of two time lines started spilling out back in 2020 something clicked big time for me, at the end of Remake when they leave Midgar and Marlene says "Daddy?" while looking at the flower, I think Marlene is sensing that Barret has died in Zack's alternate timeline via the life stream due to the singularity tornado exploding across both realities
I'm fairly sure the reason why Marlene knows about what is going to happen is because of the vision that Aerith gave her back at Seventh Heaven (how that works across timelines I don't know). The Line from Cloud about knowing things that he shouldn't is also hinting at what Aerith showed him imo.
I'm pretty sure the "cloud knowing things he shouldn't" plays more into the OG narrative about his past, not necessarily new twists in the remake. (e.g. Kalm flashback stuff, etc)

It works across timelines, because I posit that what happened in our timeline also happened in that one, in respect to Marlene being shown those visions. Everything else went in a different way.
@@Azureflame20i felt confused hearing it because shouldn't cloud not be aware that he "knows things he shouldn't?" If I'm not mistaken I think only tifa tells him that in the og. It's strange that cloud would be the person saying "I know things I should not"
OG Spoilers: I'm pretty sure the dialogue between Cloud and Tifa about him knowing things he shouldn't and her stating it's her turn to "save" him is when they're both in the Lifestream and she's piecing back his memories. His broken psyche communicates with her in a similar fashion in the OG.
"I know things I've got no right knowing" is such a good line.
I think Aerith is the one that can traverse two timelines, I think when she is asleep in Zack's timeline she is essentially channeling the lifestream and transports her consciousness to Cloud's timeline to herself there, fully aware and awake helping cloud because she knows everything, just my theory
I don't think she can jump timelines but rather through her connection to the lifestream, she's given flashes of alternate timelines/Zacs timeline and learns to tap into it more over this game
That's a very interesting theory and I think you just solve how the story ends in Part 2. Aerith will suffer the same fate as she did in the OG, but when she goes into the lifestream at the end, she will wake up in Zack's timeline. I'm now 100% confident this is what's going to happen.
I think that when she wakes up (Zack) the bad man is gonna kill her (cloud). She’s gonna be able to relate to Zack’s “Feeling every bullet” moment.
I was thinking something like this. Maybe if / when she dies in the OG timeline she will wake in Zack's one or something. Could be a way of keeping her present and playable in the next game.
I think you're very much making sense but i feel this way for most characters Biggs died in the OG timeline and is in Zacks timeline assuming Jesse also died and is in Zacks timeline i feel everyone who dies ends up in Zacks timeline which is why the others arent present in there Zacks timeline is sort of like a heaven or the lifestream itself
Marlene may know about the different timeline in Zack's timeline because Aerith shared memories of the original timeline with Cloud's Timeline Marlene during the chapter where the plate fell in Sector 7 and that might have made Marlene from Zack's timeline aware of it.
That picture of the party is so good. All the emotions - And is Marlene connected to the timelines or some thing? I mean in the OG she was always connected or knew Aerith was helping at the end

In the first game Aerith hugs her when saving her and does some sort of whisper magic shit that is never explained. I'm betting that's why she knows things she shouldn't.

Now, FF7 does too.

Cid said on the plane at the end of ff7 that he wished he could take aerith on the highwind. i think they are expending on him having a sweet spot for her and showing it earlier in the game instead of in one line of dialogue at the end.
FYI: Cid's voive actor is J. Michael Tatum (Okabe from Stein Gate, Isaac Dian from Baccano!, Seishiro from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Erwin from AOT, etc.).
Cid was never that close with Aerith though, didnt have the time. Cid reveal with that line was weird to say the least

@Enwickote you don't know the stories that happened during their walks between cities and their flights. In the original game it was implied that they all had bonds in the background and this game is expanding on that.
If the aerith of this game is fully aware of the events of og ff7 then trusting marlene with key knowledge avout the future would make the most sense because marlene is the last thing we see before the post credits in the og. She is around for all of it and sephiroth has no reason to threaten her or even know of her
Marlene definitely found out when she got into contact with Aerith at the bar for Remake. That moment where Aerith says shhh with her finger makes it evident. Somehow that memory seems to have connected the timelines with the lifestream.
I always imagined a lot of Cid’s demeanor being a coping mechanism of his losses. So maybe in this game Cid sort of fluctuates between being kind of genuine and earnest, but then turning into the asshole the second he faces conflict/struggle? Making his anger more of a defense mechanism than all of who he is. Could work nicely.

a duality between a new revamped "nice Cid" and the old school version (to satisfy og fans of course), exactly what i was sitting here thinking.
That would theoretically be fine if that's the route they go for in-game, but NOT for his debut marketing appearance imo. When people, OG players esp, see Cid's trailer debut, they expect Disc 1 pre-char dev, rude af, chain-smoking, tea-drinking asshole, not kiss-ass/post Disc 2 char dev Cid (esp since Rebirth is supposed to cover up to Forgotten Capital, not Rocket Town/Huge Materia). Regardless of what the in-game changes were to Cid's char, this was a huge marketing misfire imo.

My personal guess is that FF7R and Kingdom Hearts are going to tie in to each other and this is game is going to explore how a bunch of characters from different worlds ended up at Radiant Garden
KH is kinda like a backstage for FF, even Dissidia was meant to be a KH spin-off originally

Holy moly. I was expecting to come home to watch the game awards and instead it watching the December trailer to FF7 Rebirth off of Max’s channel! I’m more excited than ever where the story is going! The song used here - I want it on my iPod.

FF7 Rebirth and Monster Hunter Wilds trailer on the same day is to much to handle.
I definitely was afraid of watching this at first but after thinking about it again and diving into watch it, it makes me more excited for sure. Definitely interesting that it seems like parts of Zack's timeline is taking some of the original ending concepts of the OG FF7 where pretty much most of the party members die except for the ones you chose to live. Definitely gonna be interesting to see stuff play out
Ohh good catch! That's definitely whats happening there -- like what they had planned to happen when you return to Midgar in the last act and your whole party dies.

@@jt1973 Yep! It always intrigued me that it was originally gonna be only 3 members left alive (3 you decide to choose) while everyone else unfortunately dies but Nomura stopped Kitase and Nojima from going with that and we got the iconic Aerith scene in return.
Really cool of them to see them bring that concept back! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how that plays out
Lifestream theory still works, The 2 "timelines" are just the people who are alive and people who are dead. Zack is in the lifestream "alive", because he died IRL, Biggs is there with him because he also died. Barret, Tifa, Jessie and Wedge are still alive that's why they are "dead" in the lifestream.
All the people in the church, they are all those who died when the plate fell. And Aerith is in a coma just waiting for her body to return to the lifestream from IRL.

I just tought that a few second after watching this video, but not detailed like yours. I though when aerith dead she will go to her coma body in another universe something like that. But yours lifestream theory is more make sense, bcs if not wrong(not played the OG game or even thos remake version, to poor) aerith help from lifestream world right ?

I almost had a heart attack seeing Aerith singing and the ending of the trailer. I am excited to see Nibelheim and Cosmo Canyon the most, but not prepared for THAT scene again! 😢
I’m convinced it’s going to play out largely the same…and then Zack is going to come in out of nowhere and stop him.
I’m only at the part where he’s talking about Cid but honestly I think he’s fitting his personality just fine. Aerith has done nothing to him and she has an aura about her that brings out kindness and gentleness. None of his lines surprised me.
That "feeling every bullet" line reminds me of the information overload that causes the brain to shut down due to Mako poisoning. It can also imply that Mako comatose folks are either dead in another timeline or die because they're not being taken care of. Jenova and its agents, being outside of Gaia's timeline, are unaffected by this check and balance the planet's put into place. Those agents are Cloud, Sephiroth, the hooded clones, and Genesis. I'm not sure if Zack and/or other SOLDIERs have been given Jenova cells but they could be in that group as well. It could be that both the Cetra and Jenova can operate outside of these checks and balances, which explains how Jenova was mistaken as an ancient by Shinra research, but also would explain the end goals of one party getting to settle the planet and the other trying to destroy it.

I don’t know why, but that makes me feel like Sephiroth at the end of Remake is actually trying to help us…..
That makes me think of the “she’s not who she says she is” concept from the previous trailers.
I think the voice of Aerith at the end of the trailer is the Aerith in goddess form. Like the Aerith conscience when she unites with the flow of the Lifestream. The same one that battles with Sephiroth presence in the Lifestream. It's the good/evil dichotomy, presented to us in "On the way to a smile". So both of then needs Cloud's help. Who will he help?
I think with that mobile game that is out that also fleshes out his character more, I think Sephiroth(well the good part of him at least) may actually get a good ending.

what if AC sephi, actually saves aerith from diying, by pushing jenova sephi away enough, to just end up just slicing aerith, making her go unconcious in our maintimeline, snapping her awake in zacks timeline.
making cloud even have to guess more than before if sephi is friend or foe.
jenova has to have some hacks as to how she made it this far. she goes from planet to planet, and needs to be assimilated by others, to find a suitable host, and influence them. she's like a very bad version of the thing which needs to be implanted to take over.
so maybe her hack is something with either manipulating the flow of time, or which makes more sense in the universe of final fantasy, which relies on the power of memories, shown in crisis core as an example, to remix the "timeline" for as so lang, until she wins, takes the energy of the planet, and seeks out a new planet. incubation takes forever aswell. a such weakened version of the thing, has no chance to end a sentient species, without some major hack.
maybe the memory of glenn, was what prompted AC sephiroth to realize that he once was a person after spending an eternity in the flow of the lifestream, and this is why he came back to stop jenova, from making her final mixtape, which would have her win, ending his career aswell.
F man, with nomura at the helm, everything is possible. and i expect them to go as all out as mentally possible, without becoming absolutely ridicolous.
Given how Sephiroth refuses to "become a memory" it would make sense that he would purposely change fate just because he can. This game is gonna be wild
Did anyone notice that the music in the trailer (before the title song) sounds like the battle rendition of the temple of the ancients theme? If you pay attention to the note sequence when the summons pop up it sounds very familiar 🙂!

They could be captured not dead in Zack's timeline. It does say wanted on the poster. Not necessary dead. Also, if Aerith dies in OG timeline, then she wakes up in Zack's timeline. Lifestream could be doing timey wimey things we dont realize with consciousness.
If you listen closely you can hear the Whispers behind Aerith at the end of the trailer whisper "It's a canon event"
Then Miles burst out of a portal and goes "ok, let's do this one last time"

This is my theory and I haven't seen anyone bring it up besides myself - it's been mentioned that Rebirth will connect up to Advent Children somehow/the FF7R trilogy will connect up to Advent Children.
I think this can be explained with Zack and Aerith at the end of Advent Children, waving to Cloud from the doorway of the church - I believe that scene will be explained as Zack and Aerith are alive together, in their different timeline, and Cloud is able to still sense their presence and see them. Aerith will pass away, but remain alive in that seperate world. That's my theory!
A couple things from the trailer that I think I'm reading toooooo much into are, Cid being very nice to Aerith could be him playing a ruse of sorts - seems a little too kind for his original demeanour.
And another, Sephiroths face during the Nibelheim incident, does anyone else sense a sort of remorseful determination in his face? That's my read on it, Sephiroth needs to go through this event, but for whatever reason, he's carries a shred of sympathy.
Those last two there are pretty far out, and don't matter in the grand scheme of things considering the game will be out pretty soon, but it's my read and I'd like to share it!
Why did he split the timeline to include Zack?? Why did he do that? There are three Sephiroths two in their respective timeline in Northern Crater and one unknown one wtf. Two are being influenced by Jenova and other isn’t. Aerith will wake in Zacks timeline after she dies in other for sure but the party doesn’t know that which will be sad. The timelines are already merging back though in the spirit cause of Zack feeling everything. Cid was probably being an ass earlier then in his apology he would offer them help.
I have pretty much a similar theory as yours. I think that the Remake trilogy will tell the story of the "other" world in addition to the original. This is to expand on what Aerith (and Zack) are doing in contribution to the original timeline, even long after they are dead. If that is true, Aerith may die at the end, but will wake up and join Zack in his timeline. Hence this explains the title "rebirth". It feels like Zack's world consists of people who are dead in the original world, with the exception of a few wild cards: Marlene, Sephiroth, and Aerith. I think part 3 will continue with parallel story of 2 worlds.
Why should this be the case? The theory will stay true to the canon storyline following up to Advent children. It also fits with explanation of rebirth title?

I think the problem is that is Marlene in Zack’s timeline. Assuming they still have that moment in the split timeline then it makes sense.
@@calciferrrYah because remember that Marlene was apart of OUR timeline still because she was apart of Midgar still. Which was completely encapsulated by the Whispers, and those glowing sparkles after they were “defeated”.
I think we can confirm Marlene is actually the true Sephiroth, and shes been stringing us along this entire time.

Edit: note that Sephiroth says to Cloud "lend me your strengh" at the edge of creation. That's no coincidence.

I have a crazy theory for you... what if Zac's timeline and the normal timeline is connected in the sense that when someone is unconscious in one timeline they show up in the other timeline. Think of it like this, Cloud is unconscious in Zac's timeline, and he shows up unexpectedly in Midgard at the train station. And what if, when Aerith dies in the main timeline, she wakes up in Zac's timeline. And perhaps when Marlene says 'when she wakes up a scary man's gonna kill her', what if she didn't mean in that timeline, but in the other timeline, so when Aerith wakes up in Zac's timeline, at the same time Sephiroth shows up in the other timeline and kills her.
Other examples I can think of is Jessie dancing in the trailer, which suggests she's still alive in Cloud's timeline, so is Tifa & Barret, all people who are presumed dead in Zac's timeline based on the wanted poster. And while we saw Biggs waking up at the end of Remake, do we know for certain that was in Cloud's timeline? For all we know that could have been Zac's timeline. I'm sure there are some holes in my crazy theory, but I'm just saying there could be a weird connection between the two timelines.
This part might be a stretch, but it could even have something to do with what Sephiroth said about merging the timelines in the earlier trailer, if each person is either alive in one or the other, then merging the timelines could mean everyone ends up alive. Which would be a weird goal for Sephiroth, but I mean, at this point anything could happen.
right before i got into the comments section i was thinking the same thing, at least with the aerith part. she gets killed in clouds timeline and then wakes up in zacks timeline or something like that. no clue whered they go from there but it somewhat makes sense to me.

Even though they already showed too much Sephiroth in the first game, it looks like we get a glimpse of the original badass scene of Sephiroth at Nibelheim standing in the fire. Also that Barrett costume for I assume the play looks awesome. Cid definitely seems out of character, makes me wonder if it was just sarcasm after she asked him to help.. that would seem more in character for him, to have such a sarcastic response

I just hope the game’s story doesn’t feel rushed from one set piece to another.
Hope there’s time to breath in these locations with some good side quests after every main mission. And hope the map is truly massive.
I don't think it's going to be rushed, cuz they were working on this one right after they released Remake. And it made it even easier for them to work on this with the help of the latest UE5. It's already 5 years. But who knows? Hopefully they won't let us down with this one. I'm worried about SE's direction with their games.

The fact that the story trailer alone could make me so hype with some cutscenes--- AND there's still an open world and tons of sidequest/mini games + combat?! Rebirth now that name makes so much sense. At the end of FF7 movie when Cloud wakes up in the lifestream that wasnt just an Illusion when he saw Zack and Aerith. If what I am thinking turns out to be right, then man props to Square for keeping everyone in the dark for almost 18 years. Things will be be totally mysterios after rebirth if things go according to what I am speculating just thinking about it is giving me goosebumps literal chill 😬. Meaning FFVII that we knew is going to be different from OG FFVII which means totally different story different outcomes just like a brand new game man I am so hyped right now!!!!!

To be fair, the Cid Kitase wrote was less of a foul mouthed asshat to people.
Both him and Barret were dialed up to 11 by the localization team in the US version.
Still uncharacteristically cooperative, but the man could actually string sentences together without cursing and yelling at folk.
The Aerith dead scene is so obvious that I feel like it’s bait, everything we have seen points at her dying and they said the ending will surprise people.
Honestly I’d be shocked if they keep her alive in this game (if that’s the case she is dying in the third one) but it’s just so obvious and in the face that I’m really skeptical about it.
Either she is surviving the forgotten city or she dies and something crazy will happen at the end of rebirth to create shock value.
Maybe the surprising ending isn't about aerith dying or not. They are definitely expanding the events of forgotten city to make it a suitable climax and the surprise will most likely come from these new elements. Think of the end of Remake, everything that happened in the OG happened the same way but they added the whole whispers and sephiroth fights, I'm expecting the same kind of additions here. So aerith will still meet her fate, but we will be surprised by what brand new plot points and fights happen after that (or lead up to that).
In the og, the only thing that happens at forgotten city is aerith dying and a Jenova fight. It's very very short and definitely NOT final chapter-worthy for a whole game IMO so they're 100% expanding forgotten city a lot

My guess is that Aerith dies at the hands of Jenovaroth, awakens in the Zack timeline, and she and/or Zack travel into the other timeline at some point in Game 3 as playable/and or support characters, maybe just for the finale. That way they're still "dead" in the Advent Children timeline.
My guess is that Aerith dies in Cloud's timeline, but not in Zack's timeline. Because Marlene saved her by telling Zack she'd be killed.

Part of what makes Seph such an adversary for you in the game is that he takes someone from you and makes stopping him even more personal. Something dramatic has to happen to keep that energy in the game from the perspective of the party. Cloud originally didn’t care about reactors and saving the planet; Aerith made it real for him.
Ya she has to die. To give the party motivation to truly stop him. Would make him more of a true antagonist. So as much as I like Aerith. I hope they don’t keep her alive. Fine if she lives in Zacks timeline though.

Second…this multiple timeline story seems real interesting and the visuals are so good. I love living in this world again and really hope the Steam release is not as far off as it was for the first game.
BTW…I won’t make it through the Aerith thing again. I know it has to happen…but it’ll absolutely gut me this time. She is such an endearing character and giving her a voice makes it more so.

That'd be kind of an interesting way to have your cake and eat it too. Square gives us the respect to kill her like the story supposed to happen, but also gives us the treat of seeing her move on and end in her own happy ever after

@andreseh87 not all fan service is bad. If this is the route they go with, it's reasonable. The writers, Nomura, are saying, yes there is a series of events where Aerith lives, but here's the cost (catatonic cloud, tifa/barret dead). It reinforces, not undermines, that her sacrifice was meaningful.

Intresting, so this is like the alternate timeline that we never experienced. Jesse wanted to be a theatre dancer, and now she is in Zacks timeline doing just that, I'm guessing her father won't be mako poisoned anymore? The timelines will have to merge somehow. Looks like in destroying fate, they gave the possibility for a paradox to exist... 🤔 Two timelines running side by side but through one merged lifestream? Sephiroth knows what's going on. Cloud doesn't. Aerith might know but doesn't want to say and Marlene has had some kind of premonition....
I have a theory that everything in part remake and rebirth is in clouds head during the time he fell into the livestream and Tifa and aerith are trying to put his broken mind together.
I don't know if anyone remembers this, but back before Advent Children came out, the developers hinted in interviews that there was something special about Marlene. Like there was some reason why she is immune to Geostigma or something like that, but they never really fleshed that out in the movie (maybe they had to cut it?). On top of that, in Remake when Aerith goes to get Marlene before the Sector 7 plate drops, Aerith has a moment with Marlene where it's like they made a connection and Aerith reacts by putting her finger to her lips to, as if it was some big secret (maybe Marlene glimpsed Aerith's future?). So it really looks like they are going to flesh out whatever the hell is going on with Marlene some in Rebirth through Zack's timeline. I get the sense that there is a lot of stuff they cut out of the original FF7 that is making its way into the Remake trilogy and this could be one of those things.
Yeah we are gonna be in some more emotional rollercoaster once we experience this game and the story.
To all the people who play the original game the remake is what writer Kazushige Nojima and co-writer Tetsuya Nomura Originally wanted final fantasy 7 to be but where limited on what they could do with the technology at the time so they had to simplify it to what we originally got. There's interviews with Nojima saying he had a bigger story but the tech was limited and he would like to do a remake when tech had advanced back in the 90's and 2000's.

I think Marlene knowing about Sephiroth coming for Aerith is due to, in Cloud's timeline in Part 1, Aerith goes to save Marlene from the Tusk agents in 7th Heaven and does this weird magic download onto the girl.
I think that was her giving Marlene knowledge of possible futures and it carries across timelines, hence why Zack Timeline Marlene knows everything.

You know, in Advent Children, when Cloud is talking to Zack and Aerith in that white void place? What if it's not "death" but Cloud is conversing with the Zack and Aerith from this alternate timeline thing. What if Sephiroth killing Aerith in Cloud's world makes the other one in Zack's wake up.

And when marlene is saying to zack that when she(aerith) wakes up, a scary man is going to kill her. She is talking about the other timeline. I bet marlene can see or sense tings going on in the other timeline because aerith gave her that power in remake.
That's probably why it's called "rebirth" and where the name comes from, something happens in the original timeline and they are "reborn"
