Phantom talking about check kiting like its an everyday thing lol.. Honestly it was a time in life where it was a every week thing 2 days before payday
I remember my Momma cashing a check at the grocery store on Wednesday evening knowing that it wouldn’t hit her bank till Friday and she’d go put her check in the bank at lunch time and have it covered. And if she was real short she could go to the office and get Mr Rice, the owner, to cash it on Tuesday and he wouldn’t put it his bank till Thursday and she was covered. He must have done that for half the neighborhood at one time or the other. Hell, he’d known her since she was a teenager and he knew who was good for it and who wasn’t. That’s back when your local store was all about service. I wanted to grow up and be a bag boy there when I was in high school since it wasn’t uncommon for one of them to make as much as ten dollars in tips on a busy Saturday. Sadly, he sold the store to a chain when I was 15. I can’t blame him, he was three days older than dirt. But that was it for service, kiting checks, and what was really a payday loan. A great old man.

I've been living in my 86 Winnebago chieftain 27 for five years now. It is a Chevrolet P30, 454 turbo 475 tranny. When I got it I had to remove the smog crap and replaced the quadrajunk with a Holley. Last month I drove it down from Colorado to Texas without incident. I wanted one the size of yours. It's in great shape.
Clark. Really turbo 475. Pretty sure th400 is a thing
@@mikeanderson7206no Felicia, 475 has straight gears in the clusters and makes a little whining noise upon start up. Heavier duty than the 400, but takes the same rebuild kit and clutches. This things 27 ft long and weighs 13k lbs. I had to rebuild it after going over monarch pass a few years ago pulling my blazer on a trailer. Somewhere around 18k lbs only able to get to 10mph going up in low.
I was thinking about what happened to the Lindy about a week ago. Then I assumed you just kept it up at Angel Fire cause it's a perfect fit up there and also in Oklahoma.

I’ve been wanting to build a drag and drive out one of those. I want the dodge van. For its age it’s in great shape
camper lights and fans should operate off 12v DC and have a dedicated battery separate from the engine battery (because you don't want a fan on all night stranding you in death valley the next morning). The AC tried to kick on with shore power because it operates off of that 120V AC.
Look around for where the camper battery or batteries go and put some in there.
The Redline Water Wetter works VERY well on cars and trucks for cooling. We saw up to 20 degree drop in hot weather

Awesome camper!! I grew up going on vacation in an Open Road camper on a Ford Van chassis. I always loved laying down in the upper bed above the driver & watch out the front windows!! Thanks for the memories!!

The snaps are for window coverage/ blackout when camping. I remember gas at 49 cent per gallon. 5 bucks was full tank. Your buddy's was not cheap at 2 or 3 bucks at a time. He probably just wasn't sure the car wasn't going to make it any farther than that. (Maybe).

Hit it hard between the lug studs, and it will jar them loose. It works good on brake drums also. ASE certified 45 years

The hiways 'n biways of America have seen these little motorhomes since 'back in tha day'. Most folks don't even notice them because they get lost to their BIG brother motor coaches,, the 40 and 50 ft "motor coach"s are what people see but until perhaps the mid to late 1990's it was these little 19 thru 23 foot mobile homes were what America's RV'ers were taking to their favorite fish'n spots and mountain camping places. My Wife and I had a '73 23' Hall and loved it. Fully self contained home on wheels that got 10mpg and could be taken on back roads usually ment for 4wd only vehicles.

I was one of those kids and yes it is super cool to ride up in the top bunk while going from camp ground to camp ground every summer. Camping, fishing, skiing, swimming. Being the age Dalton is, all us guys know what he's thinking he could do with that r.v....lol

Next time use a small pump jack and a board between the tires you will need help use two of them and it makes taking them off faster you don't have to keep moving the jack just a suggestion
