I said it before. Everyone in louisiana knows the State Title in the highest division is either going To Barbe or Through Barbe.

Both these teams each only had 4 seniors in the starting 9. So don’t be too surprised when we see a rematch next year against these 2…
Also, John Pearson is Josh’s bro. Josh just cranked a moon shot last night for his first HR of the season, and it came at a really clutch time in the game vs. Georgia… both the Pearson boys can rake, if Josh stays at Lsu for his senior season, it’ll be fun to see these 2 bro’s on the same team.

I’m hoping we don’t lose William Schmidt to the draft. That’s the big one I’ll be watching. Already know Konnor griffin is gone to the draft most likely 99.9% sure
@@aaronbalakey5377 I’ll be shocked if we land Schmidt at this point. He’s dominated this year, and a lot of experts think he’ll be the first high school pitcher drafted now. Supposedly LSU’s NIL has promised to match whatever draft bonus he’s offered, but it seems like a long shot, even to land a Baton Rouge kid.
That’s the frustrating part about baseball recruiting. You have to recruit high draft picks and hope you get lucky like with Bregman, Crews, Kling, or Cam Johnson. And you have to balance that by recruiting guys that are less talented, but more likely to sign.
@@michaelstein7510 I think we have a decent shot with Schmidt. I feel like if he didn’t really care about college and knew he was just going to go pro outta HS then he wouldn’t have changed his commitment from Miss St to LSU. He was committed to Miss St (I think, could’ve been ole Miss, one of the Miss. teams) then switched and committed to us. If he was just committing to gain leverage in the draft then it wouldn’t matter what school he choose, you know what I mean? But maybe, I’m holding out hope, that that’s a sign he might actually have some real interest in going to college first. 🤞🏼
@@aaronbalakey5377 Yeah, I hope so. Some MLB teams are gonna throw $5 million + at him, and I know that’d be hard to turn down for me at 18. But his family is well-off and maybe he really wants to play at LSU. He’d be in the starting rotation right away like Aaron Nola and Alex Lange were. Let’s hope so.

Happy for the kids. I was there in sulphure my senior year, but was on the losing end. This entire video confirmed to me how important a solid locker room relationship is. My team didnt have that. We had “little cliques”. We werent one team. We were groups. A bunch of “pick me” guys that would only work hard when coaches were around.
The high school i went to stole the love i had for the game. For many reasons. So bad that seconds after realizing my career in baseball was over i didnt even care. Didnt eveb try to play college ball. Just focused on my studies and graduated college.
Sometimes i wish i could go back and do some things differently, but hey, im sure we all do.
