The Low Pitch Schindler Elevator in Milwaukee was Modernized!

- (November 2023) I have been really curious what happened to the low pitched Schindler 330A elevator in the former Boston Store in Milwaukee. The store has reopened as a Kohls, so I decided to take a closer look. The elevator was not removed, but it was fully modernized by Schindler! As part of the mod, the 2nd floor was removed, so it only goes between 1 and 3. This elevator is also very talkative and gets confused a lot.

This elevator is very chimy and talkative. One of the ones I don’t see very often. Too bad the low pitch isn’t there anymore
The low pitched said less and honestly schindler did a great job. But forever they will remain my favorite company next to TKE.

I find the mod interesting because of the two different types of chimes this elevator does.

It's crazy seeing Schindler 300a's getting modernized already, can't believe some of the older models like the 321a are already pushing 25 years old.
And Schindler still makes 330a elevators as 330a lives on even though we lost the early ones with low pitch
What a weird mod. If it were me doing that mod, I would have put the newer 3300 panel with EPCO Endurance fixtures on that elevator.
Schindler did a nice mod and I love TKE as much with Schindler and Dover.
That elevator does not need to chime that many times

Not crazy about these MAD fixtures, they screw up too much, make unpredictable sounds, and buttons are prone to sticking up or breaking frequently. Couldn't Schindler use EPCO, Adams, older GAL (if still available), or CJ Anderson fixtures? Their fixtures are better quality than Innovation and especially MAD. But if 300A, 321A, and 330A elevators are starting to be modernized, it's only a matter of time, in my timeframe, give it only 10 years to start seeing 400A and 500A elevators getting modernized, and 15 years to see 3300 and 5500 elevators get modernized.
