I always take a cart and then put a hand basket in it to put my items in. Then when you get to the checkout counter you just pick up the basket.

They have amazing DT's in southern VA for sure! Its tradition whenever Im going to the shore for vacay to hit as many stores as a I can down there. But I do think we have an advantage all over the DMV area (DC, MD, VA) with the headquarters so close.
The old Walgreens, now a giant Dollar Tree, is AMAZING! If you get to Chesapeake run over to Hampton, go to the corner of Pembroke Ave and Mercury Boulevard and enjoy!!! Plus, 10 min down Pembroke Ave is Buckroe Beach, very historic!!!

We have a distribution center in my hometown.....just a few miles from me...and our Dollar Trees stink. We never get anything that haulers show.....There are about 10 dollar trees with in a 10 mile radius of me.....and I never see the good stuff. It's so sad!!!

That store looks like it used to a CVS or Walgreens. ♥ But hey I could be wrong, either way I think its cool to see all the different DT stores while you are traveling for business.
You could be right. They just remodeled a past CVS store in our town into a new DT.

Yeah we have a dollar tree that used to be a CVS ....they closed off the drive-thru pharmacy window and it's perfect

Yes, the East Coast is trying to recycle plastic and they charge for the bags and most stores require to bring your own shopping bag it started back in 2022 in the North East.

I live in Chesapeake VA near the $ tree distribution center and trust me our $tree stores here don’t have half the items you find in your Dallas stores!! Can’t explain why that is….😞

For real you'd think we'd have all the things that others don't get since we are near the distribution center lol (I'm in Suffolk)
I was going to say I live in Virginia about an hour and half from the distribution center and we don’t have a lot of the stuff I see her or other CZcamsrs haul. I can’t figure out why either being we are so close to the center. I will say when I go to Virginia Beach area I do find better then where I live.
At dollar tree, it's really a place you have to go almost every day. There's a dollar tree next to my work so I'm there at least 5x a week and my store sucks but I do see the majority of the items she hauls, new items go fast, usually within 24 hrs with viral items
I can never find good hair accessories at my DT. I love those bows and the clips with pearls. Those are in this year.

It’s so cool to see what other states get at their dollar trees. Here in WA we get charged 8 cents per bag at all stores. So reusable bags are recommended.

I lived in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia area for 12 years. YOU are in for a treat. I lived in Virginia but I used to shop three different Dollar Tree stores. Have a grand old time in our nation's capital. Now I'm living in Denver. The Dollar Tree stores don't seem to have the best selection here.

There is a dollar tree near me in Sharonville, Ohio that is the nicest, biggest, and cleanest Dollar Tree I ever ever been in!

On another hand, I see some of the cards in my stores but like the one you picked up and some others I have never seen!
If you ever travel to PA, the Dollar Tree stores are not great. I've never gone to one in Philly or Pittsburgh so they may be different there. Maryland seems to have some good ones.

Yes in areas like Virginia I believe Indianapolis definitely in Boston they charge for the bags.

There is a huge distribution center North on I35 at Denton or Gainesville. I have seen it when I went North to Oklahoma City.
Marie, How exciting to travel to different stores in different states! With that being said, you need to be careful. I would highly recommend looking at state laws for where you are traveling to before you go. I live in CT, and ALL plastic shopping bags are banned. It's that way in most of New England too. Most places charge for paper bags, especially grocery stores. DT usually will just give you the bag, but most of the stores make it so you can't take the cart out to your car. If you can, you should travel with reusable shopping bags and take them with you into the store. It will make it easier when you have lots of small things to not have to juggle with. Of course, paper bags are typically only $.10, but if you load up, it could cost quite a bit (especially at DT!). And when you can't take the cart out to your car, and you have 5 or 6 bags, it's next to impossible if you are alone. I learned this the hard way after moving here in 2022. Went overboard, new DT. Had to pull my car up to the front of the store to be able to put my bags in my car. Colorado also has banned plastic bags, at least it was in the process of being statewide when I left. Now when I go, I have to consciously tell myself, don't get more than what you can carry! Safe travels!
I would prefer to watch a series of traveling with Mykah witnout dollar tree content. Like keep the 2 separate. I prefer to see you at home in your dollar tree.

If you come to NJ, take a bag. NJ banned the use of plastic bags in stores.
I was back home in Jersey visiting my brother and went to Target. I forgot to bring some bags. It felt strange walking out of Target with items in my cart unbagged and no one at the door checking receipts. Made me wonder if theft had increased. 😮

Surprised to see you still have bags at Dollar tree. We don’t in Canada. We have to bring our own bags or use boxes at the store.

In ny we have to bring bags to supermarket, pharmacies, target 15:22 and other stores. Some stores charge 5 ,10, or 15 cents a bag. Othets give you 5 or 10 cents off for everybag you bring.
$0.10 a bag in California, bring your own. Self checkout store closed, too much theft.

I've been using the dollar tree shopping bags you can buy. I have a Wonder woman bag, Minions, Barbie and others. I keep them in my car. They last a very long time if you fold them in half, side to side.

That is a big store. The front looks like a Walgreens. If you had the time you could mail stuff to yourself, but that's not alway possible when traveling.

I would love to see you go into one of the largest dollar trees. I heard one is in North Carolina. But you defiantly will need to take an empty piece of luggage with you. I would bring a duffle bag that you can fold up and then carry it on when full.

When I lived in MO, we were 5miles from a distro center. Our Dollar Trees lacked all the good stuff and we didn't get nearly all the cool stuff I saw in DT videos. :(
