It would be great to know what products you use. I have the same brand and material but in a different type of footwear ( chukka weekend ) . I like how you kept the colour. Usually it darkens which I don’t like. So please what do you use?

Those boots really didn’t need cleaning/conditioning, they were basically brand new!
I love saddle soap. It sounds so rich and clean being mixed up.

I can’t understand why people don’t want mink oil (I use Fiebing’s) on their RW boots. This leather screams for mink oil. After the mink oil you have to use some extra waterproofing protection. Nikwax has some great water based conditioner/waterproofing products. This combi of Fiebing’s and Nikwax gives a great vintage look and protection without darkening the leather too much.

You don’t need any extra waterproofing after conditioning with mink oil. You are clueless
Saddle Soap & Bick 4…. They look good just not water proofed. You have to use Mink oil to waterproof.

Hello! Started watching these for the ASMR, so relaxinggg. But now i really want to fix up my own shoes, LITTLE QUESTION - what type of saddle soap are you using, glycerine or lanolin? Also, can i use the saddle soap before refinishing the colour with a dye, or would i then have to use a coloured wax? Thankyou so much for these videos! x
oh and i know this was not a dye or colour video, but a few of yours are, but that was hours or days ago i watched them, im just thinking about it now. (just read your comment section with the haters and didnt want to get confused as one. lol)
my saddle soap is Fiebing's saddle soap..
Was that Bickmore Bick 4 that you used on these boots? Also, was that a really fine sand paper? What grit? (I like when you show the products you use)
I used leather conditioner, and 800 grit paper, I will start showing the products again on the next video

It’s not mink oil. Mink oil makes it very dark. But I would like to know myself

The products can vary on what you want the finish on your boots to be. If you just want to protect you shoe, saddle soap and mink oil will do best, or if you want to add some shine add angelus shoe wax. Thanks!

I hope the owner of those redwings where prepared for a completely different look after the cleaning, 1907's should not use any oil or lotion in my opinion, oh and you totally screwed up the lace pattern!

different look..? that’s just freshly oiled leather, the boots were dried out. this is literally his profession, i’m confident he knows what he’s doing considering he puts it online for everyone to see and enjoy.
