Watch how many reads he makes each game when he's on the defensive. He sidestepped left on Nobi's offense and disrespected his frames multiple times, yet Nobi did not adapt. He should have used df1 more as it tracks and great check to stop Atif moving.

@@rryuko3668AK is a world class player but he is far from Atif and Arslans level. You don’t get on their lvl by beating the top players once or twice, but consistently, which is what Atif and Arslan is doing.

At least Anakin got a round and most rounds were close. Arslan basically made 5 comebacks. Nobi didn't even get going.

No, Tekken 8 was designed to DEPRECATE defensive SKILL. You get MORE reward for mashing than you do defensive SKILL. That is why all the vets from ALL previous iterations of Tekken are having problems adapting to it.
True defensive skill is now a liability in Tekken 8. MASHING is not a skill. But it is in Tekken 8. Proof of this is Atif MASHING a jab at -8. This is literally GUESSING.
I guess I should be able to beat my own tekken instructor now by mashing out at big frame disadvantage too on block, and that then makes me better than him, lol.

Its not about character. Its about how someone knows and plays the character. Aggression with knowledge of moves selection at the right time is the key to dominate. You need to be always one step ahead of your opponent. Atif mastered it while practicing with Arsalan.

This is why charecter loyalty in fighting games is dangerious. Nobi is not bad he should have picked a random like xioayo it sounds funny but it works.
T8 at current state only works for offensive pressure players all the time. Knee and JDCR not even stand a chance atm. Atif plays like someone owes him money.
JDCR has actually been playing really well, Nobi included. You only say this due to their performances at EVO, most of these players getting bodied by Pakistan players
