Was there today, some good bargains to be had, and grabbed a box of ANDA coins and the kookaburra silver proof Anda privey mark coin. Thanks for a great day.
You might be surprised to know there is a place in australia called south australia that has a large coin collecting community. Look it up somtime. Anyway thats is a very desirable $1 set. Getting one will prove challenging i think. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for the review. Not sure how I didn't already know about your videos, but glad to have found you! Thank you for organising such fabulous shows too. Agree, missed opportunity for a nicer insert - but I like how they have transitioned to the acrylic (?) cases. If that continues it will complicate future releases though!
Its a nice set however I do agree with you that the RAM should of had a design on the card as it looks plain. I do hope to get one of these sets. Thanks for sharing!
Just a Question I found a 2008 $1 100 years of the Australian coat of Arms. One says a C Mint Mark and others say an S, B Privy Mark. Is the C mint mark embosed while the Privy Mark is Indented. I'm confused.
You've answered the question already I think! So the privy marks are added for unique events are places whereas the mintmark actually relates specifically to the mint in Canberra :)
Hi Matt, have just watched your Vlog on CZcams. I would really like to be able to purchase the ANDA coins which you have just showcased. I will not be able to attend this weekend's show in Sydney. Are you able to help me out? Thanks heaps. P.S. Just love your CZcams Vlogs.
I just got a notification from Wynyards Coins (aussie dealer website) stating they have some now in stock & just ordered one set for myself. Also just appeared available on matt's site 😊
I just got a notification from Wynyards Coins (aussie dealer website) stating they have some now in stock & just ordered one set for myself. Charged me $40 for the set & $9.95 for postage with tracking. Seems like a fair price for possibly the last coins minted with queen's effigy & has privy marks
I prefer special “ordinary” circulating type coins. The ones we use everyday. Because they are real money. Look at the flood of collectors dollar coins - Big Things, Aussie Alphabet(s), etc. Fun but not really “real”.

Thanks for watching Robert I am glad you had a nice time! 😄
Interesting video as always! Thanks Matt!

Believe it or not, I've actually been to the Adelaide coin show, I am hoping I can make it there next year too!
Thanks for watching :)
@@ThompsonsCoins i saw you at the coin show. You would have seen how many people come to the shows.
I ❤ money
Me too!! Thanks for watching!!
This is a cool set. I managed to get one of these sets for a decent price from a coin shop I visit about four times annually.
Nice one Justin! Thanks for watching ☺️
@@ThompsonsCoins All good mate. I got it about three weeks ago if I remember correctly.

Thanks for watching! I do like those cases as well, they make for neat long term storage whereas some of the much older sets haven't aged very well!

Thanks for watching! They have been incredibly popular so far!
@@ThompsonsCoins You're welcome!
This set, even though lacking in some areas....makes me wish our mint did more....
If the US mint don't improve soon you may need to consider relocating, I hear the mint over here has a few openings! 🤓🥳
@@ThompsonsCoins really?!? Does it come with shark, snake, spider, and croc repellent?!?
With two coins being identical would PCGS only list three coins as being required to complete a set listing?
Got me thinking. I reckon you still need 4 to have a set!
You're right, I suspect they would only be able to list 3 as being "unique" whilst 4 would make the set!
Hi Matt, shame the coins are on the plain side but still a must have :) Hasn't been a great year for coloured coins so far IMHO.
It's been quite a busy year indeed! Thanks for watching Alan! :)
A 😀👍

Thanks for the explanation. C Mint Marks, Counter Stamps and Privy Marks are all NEW terms to me. @@ThompsonsCoins

Thanks so much for getting back to me Matt@@ThompsonsCoins
Are there any other standard mob of Roos dollars with the memorial obverse? I’ve forgotten sorry!
I can only think of those in the silver and gold proof year sets. No al-br examples.
@@gemmas3172 Yes I’ve been wracking my brain and couldn’t think of any… makes these a little bit special then
Rumour has it, this will be the only mob of roos standard $1 for 2023 but time will tell!
@@ThompsonsCoins I should buy a few more sets 😂😎!
@@ThompsonsCoins I think I just cleaned you out 😂😂😂
How much does the set cost please?
I'm going to say $40, as I have reserved a set through my dealer and the invoice shows them as $40. They usually sell them at show price.

But i did just brought one today at the show lol
Funnily enough, it seems to be a VERY big deal, we completely sold out of them at the show 🤣
