You might be surprised to know there is a place in australia called south australia that has a large coin collecting community. Look it up somtime. Anyway thats is a very desirable $1 set. Getting one will prove challenging i think. Thanks for the heads up.

Agree, missed opportunity for a nicer insert - but I like how they have transitioned to the acrylic (?) cases. If that continues it will complicate future releases though!

This set, even though lacking in some areas....makes me wish our mint did more....

With two coins being identical would PCGS only list three coins as being required to complete a set listing?
Got me thinking. I reckon you still need 4 to have a set!
You're right, I suspect they would only be able to list 3 as being "unique" whilst 4 would make the set!
Hi Matt, shame the coins are on the plain side but still a must have :) Hasn't been a great year for coloured coins so far IMHO.

Just a Question I found a 2008 $1 100 years of the Australian coat of Arms. One says a C Mint Mark and others say an S, B Privy Mark. Is the C mint mark embosed while the Privy Mark is Indented. I'm confused.
You've answered the question already I think! So the privy marks are added for unique events are places whereas the mintmark actually relates specifically to the mint in Canberra :)

How much does the set cost please?
I'm going to say $40, as I have reserved a set through my dealer and the invoice shows them as $40. They usually sell them at show price.
I just got a notification from Wynyards Coins (aussie dealer website) stating they have some now in stock & just ordered one set for myself.
Charged me $40 for the set & $9.95 for postage with tracking.
Seems like a fair price for possibly the last coins minted with queen's effigy & has privy marks

Big DEAL queen's head on a coin
I prefer special “ordinary” circulating type coins. The ones we use everyday. Because they are real money. Look at the flood of collectors dollar coins - Big Things, Aussie Alphabet(s), etc. Fun but not really “real”.
But i did just brought one today at the show lol
Funnily enough, it seems to be a VERY big deal, we completely sold out of them at the show 🤣
