I'm inspired. My father bought a Saab 9000 in 1986 which I drove to the Netherlands for him as new, he ran the car until @ 2001 when he gave it to me to run for another few years. Wonderful car, very few about in the UK today

We had also almost 4000 km road trip with Saab 9000, Southern Finland to Norway. We slept also time to time in the car and had no problems with the car. Even the consumption was around 7-8l/100km. 👍🏻

Hello from Russia, I'm also a fan of the Saab brand, I've had 9 of them in 15 years. And all were 9000 with all the engines that were put on them. Now I have an anniversary version that pleases me for 5 years, it is chipped at 200+ horsepower, it is a pity that every year there are fewer and fewer spare parts for them.Hello to all fans of low-flying aircraft.

Dude, i have a 1996 2.3 Turbo that looks just like yours. I love the 9000 in silver with these crazy bumper harmonicas. I bumped mine up to 220 hp and it runs great. I love this car, will run it till it dies. Hope it never does. Keep changing the oil and plugs and chug along. Greetings from a dutchman in France, happy saabing!

Abbott performance has a big bore kit for the 2.3. I’m going to do it to mine when it finally dies. Mines a 1995 cs 5 speed. All stock. Doing a td04 swap to make it an “aero” then eventually full on corvette killer

Lovely video. I posted some images the other day of me driving my saab (9-3) deep into the country to haul a big anvil home, described as a perfect example of saab life, and some young keyboard warriors couldn't understand what this had to do with saabs. Anyone who grew up driving a 900 or 9000 knows exactly why that is a perfect use of a saab

I love the 9000. I've had three of them and I still have the last one, a 1995 CDE 2.3T automatic. It's been off the road for over two years now due to blown head gasket and some other issues, but I still love it. I've been driving around in a 2004 Nissan Maxima but I'm seriously considering getting another 9k. Excellent cars.

I love the 9000! Saw one as a kid back the late 90's and thought it looked real cool. 20+ years later in Maine saw one on someone's lawn for sale. It was a 9000 cse! 5spd! Turbo! Leather! Bought it. Never had a Saab.. roomy. Fast. After 6 months & 10,000 the fuel pump died. Now I've been working on it because I miss it a lot. Found a bad wire which fixed the radiator fan. New pump..now it ripppps again!

Saab is a very special car, my latest is 93-sport combi 2011, runs like new 12000 mile on the meter.
Took it down to Spain 320 mil( 3200km), no problems at all, runs like a Rolls Royce, so comfortable, and funny to drive, I have tune it up to 225 Hk, with Automatic transmission, with additional sport button, flies like a rocket.......
Next project is to do Step 2 in tuning, to get another 50-60 hk, but its no hurry.
Got installed handsfree working on the wheel buttons, its a fantastic car, I will try to keep it to my last day in life.
There is nothing like a Saab, its forever love!!!!

I had 3 9000 Saabs and I miss them especially my 1986 base model 9000t with cloth seats and a 5 speed manual. Had her for over 250000 miles thru college and beyond. An inexperienced “euro” shop messed her ac system up so badly it would have needed a donor car to fix her. Only down side to Saabs in the USA. YOU NEED an experienced shop. Not easy to find in some places

The Alfa Romeo 146 has similar capacities, albeit being a car that's slightly smaller. It's funny, quite a bunch of Alfa drivers switch to Saab when they are older and need a more practical car. That said, neither Alfa nor Saab are what they used to be.

Looking to swab my 2004 9-3 with a 9000, but that's not so easy here in Denmark since there are so few left. Just one(!) up for sale right now that i did a short test drive in, but it was way too abused for the price the used cars salesman wanted for it. It needed new engine mounts, the left front head lamp had a crack, the position lights didn't work, the hazard button was glued shut, left back door handle needed to be replaced, and worst of all, the driver's door had probably been caught by a strong wind and hand sunk just a smidge on the hinges and had a waffle pattern front and low. And it had dont 384,000 Km.
It's a 3.3 liter Turbo, but it was hard to estimate how fresh the engine was due to the almost non-existent engine mounts.
But strangely enough the A/C was fully operational.
A month ago I just missed a blue1997 Anniversary 2.0 Turbo at a fair price from a certified used Saab dealer. The little sw*nes who saw the add before me reserved it and then bought it on sight. Well, better luck in 2023.

It has a ridge at the join between the boot and the back seats but other than that it's very flat and with our travel mattress it's very comfortable for two ! And once you're in you can refit the parcel shelf so you can have somewhere for your drinks and the laptop movie time!

  • @GordonWaltersBass

      " F " - Found
      " O " - On
      " R " - Road
      " D " - Dead !
