  • Ya’ll know there’s no way I would take up a new hobby without finding some way to track it or plan for it in a notebook … so here’s a look at the two notebooks I use to plan and track my sewing projects

This is awesome! I knit, and have wanted to do something like this for a while... It gave me a good nudge in that direction - thanks!

Would love to hear more about your sewing hobby, maybe like those language learning vlogs you did? I’m super interested but also super intimidated. It can seem like you need to buy a lot or know a lot before you start as a total beginner/if you don’t have someone you know who sews.

That could be fun! Like a sewing chat video... as for getting started, you can definitely start with easier patterns to learn basic skills and then scale up as you get more comfortable! One option would be to look for a community sewing center of some sort (there’s a sewing cafe in my town that has classes & machines that you can rent and use there by the hour for example). Something like that would be good because there’d be someone who could help you if you got stuck! ☺️

Those little “packets of paper” are called signatures.

Loved the video! It is really cool to have a personalized notebook, I wonder if it is difficult yo make one 🤔

Check out CZcamsr SeaLemon. She has a variety of book binding videos that go from beginner to more advanced. Custom notebooks can be pretty easy to really complicated depending on your taste and needs.

      @@alexreith4877 thanks for the tip!

Agreed - it’s not too complicated depending on what you want to do! I’ve heard great things about SeaLemon’s tutorials (although I haven’t personally used them) and I’m hoping to do my own in the near future - I’ve got a few older videos on binding simple notebooks (fewer than 30 pages) ☺️
