Oh, for God’s sake India should not waste their time. Chinese have played this game numerous times. They will make some disguised move to show they are serious then suddenly they will escalate border tensions.

There is no way Russia would like to be a secondary partner under China. Quite natural for them to maintain the super power status and that means seeing India's military might strengthen as that would not only keep the Chinese aggression under check but also keep giving opportunities for Russia to sell more arms to India. Also, if Trump becomes the president the pressure will be off Russia who would not mind the US putting the screws on China even more.

I think NORAD stated that the Chinese and Russian planes were in International airspace and were not a military threat. NORAD escorted the planes because they were in the Alaska ADIZ , which extends far outside territorial airspace

It could be a possible preparation before making moves in the south china sea or Taiwan for China to make sure India does not help/assist USA and keeps out of it entirely. Nonetheless, to make sure that this border normalisation actually lasts, we need a fast growing economy to both allure China with our market and deter china with our rising conventional military.

It is all business interest. Chinese companies have been invited to invest in India. Both sides happy.
There is a possibility of China realizing the ground reality. If China hands over Sia chin and Sakshm valley to India and abandon supplying weapons to Pakistan, India and China will be strategic partners. India will replace Pakistan as an iron brother of China.
India can then take over POK and GB and Chinese investments in those region will be secured. Besides India and China can build a new rail and road route from Uttarakhand to mainland China. This route will not need much investment as it is already developed on both the side. This route will be more cost effective and safer for China compared to CPEC. It will be a game changer for South Asia.

I think everybody has understood China's and Xi's aggressive behaviour and game of using rogue proxies. India should protect and secure its borders specially with China also emphatically speak and vote against China in international forums for its clear international bad behaviour.
It is a hard choice for India, will China behave responsibly in future? If not, how will India restrain China?
Bharat's diplomatic and military initiative vis-a-vis china is paying off. A better equipped and well prepared LAC border with China will give Bharat the leverage to negotiate with Xi regime. Strength respects strength. Nehruvian Bharat failed to understand this corner stone in our relationship with other great nations.
