Lugosi was a great actor. Too bad he ended up in poverty. At least he had Ed Wood for a friend, who helped him greatly during his last days.

Just a fun little fact Jack Haley Jr. the son of the Tin Man Jack Haley, was married to Liza Minnelli who is the daughter of Judy Garland the actress who played Dorothy.

According to findagrave.com, there are 291 famous interments in Holy Cross Cemetery. I looked through the list, and three names that jumped out at me were, Sharon Tate, Rita Hayworth, and one name that probably everyone from our generation will recognize, John Candy.

Sort of a sad story I read about Bela Lugosi but also touching. He was so poor when he died that Frank Sinatra stepped in and paid for his funeral costs. He might have had to be buried in a pauper's grave otherwise I word imagine. Also the fact that I'm sure most everyone knows is he wanted and was buried in his Dracula costume from the movie.
Again, do what you want, where you want, how you want and how long you want. I know negative comments are hard to take but it gives them fuel if they know they are getting attention. True followers like myself will come back every day just to see what you want to share.

sorry.he didn't ask to be buried in his cape.that was done by his last wife.also that is a myth that sinatra paid for his funeral.it was his ex wife who paid for it.sinatra sent a telegram to lugosi when he was in hospital for his treatment, though they never met.

I had the privilege to meet Bela Lugosi Jr. at Monsterpoolza yesterday. As for the graves in the cement you asked about, it's called crypt, and its located in a mausoleum. Also, Jack Haley Jr is the son of Jack Haley, who was actually the tin man from the wizard of OZ. Al Jolson is also buried there. You can see his grave from the 405 freeway. For the record; you have one of the best channels on youtube. Its great that you go above and beyond to make your youtube videos. Great video!

Jack Haley JR was the Tin Man's son. Adam the Woo ,if you look at that date on the grave marker you can clearly see that Jack Haley Jr was born in 1933 . The Wizard of OZ was made in the 1930's. So how can you possibly think that was the Tin Man. The Tin Man was Jack Haley the father of Jack Haley JR. Jack Haley died in 1976.

Adam, keep up the great videos. I for one enjoy each and every one. I'm like you, history interests me, recent history, abandoned buildings, and old history. California is my old stomping ground. I was born and raised in northern California and recently went to Earlimart where my sister lives. My niece lives in Bakersfield and my Mom is buried up in Fairfield. You might want to check out Yosemite National Park (if you haven't already), a lot of cool, old things around that area. I stayed in a 1920's hotel in Jamestown for a day that you might want to check out for yourself. The name of it is The Royal Carriage Inn. The staff was super nice and they have good wifi. :) The rooms are almost like you've stepped back in time. I kept expecting a prospector or minor, even a gunslinger to step out of one of the rooms. :) Beware of the floor though, it has dips in it. LOL I know movie locations are of interest to you and you might like to know that Hidalgo, Petticoat Junction, The Wild, Wild West and Green Acres was filmed around that area. If you like trains you might want to check out the Sugar Pine Railroad near the park. I went there in the 70's when I was living in Sacramento. Cool place and you can ride the train through the pines.I would have gone on the ride last year but there wasn't time to see either the Sugar Pine Railroad or the 1897 Railtown Historic Park in Jamestown. Just some suggestions.:) California is a huge state and there is so much to see and do there that you could make a Vlog every day for the next 10 years and not cover everything in the state. :) What do you think? Should I try out for a job with the California Office of Tourism? LOL

My Dad was a HUGE fan of Boris Karloff. We spent so much time watching his movies when I was younger. I want to go to the cemetery to see some people graves that I have a lot of respect for. I also love Bing Crosby. And I would like to see Danny Kaye's grave. Such a crooner. Go to Big Sur, or perhaps SanFran or Napa, or Sacramento. Or whatever you want, wherever you go, bring us with. Have a good weekend.

He will be missed a ton. when I was a little kid Dracula was the first Black and Gray movie that I saw and still to this day my heart goes out to his family and friends I know that I was born in 1983 but the fact is he is one of my favorite actors from Hungary and he will be missed deeply
