Idk what the law about that in Boston (or America in General) is, but basically in the whole of Europe, you can not drive through a red light, you can go over the stoplight line and then make room, but you can't fully run the red, if that makes sense
@@Dylantuning1995 Depends on where you are in the US. Where i'm at, You may pass through a red at the direction of a police officer.Basically if they are laying on their horn there is a chance that they want you to go through it (at least that what i would perceive it as.), But they want you to do it carefully. If you then get a citation for it, You can say you were following the officers directions and it will most likely be thrown out. A good example of this is in New York, The officer is on his PA telling drivers to go through the red. You can find it on CZcams, Its a good watch. But like i said, Depends on where you are at.
@@sc2142 Yes, your not going to get ticketed for getting out of the way. Its a line on the road and/or a light, not a cement barrier. Make room is rule 1 its not hard.

Because the black Tahoes are crime investigator units or they could be a part of the SWAT team but most of the Boston Police Department newer vehicles have that same ambient Lighting on the back
Most agencies have red and amber on the back all over the US and even in many other countries. I have never seen a BPD or MSP vehicle with red on the front, so the SUV was probably either a federal agency (though the skirt lighting was only blue/white rather than blue/red), or possibly MBTA police, who do use front facing red sometimes.

Can you not run a red light in the states if you're blocking the lane an emergency vehicle is using with lights and sirens on? Here in NZ you can but only if you're blocking the lane the said emergency vehicle is trying to use and there is no flow lane or anything to move into.

Just depends on the city, plenty still using red/blue.
No, this video just consisted 99% of Boston Police, Massachusetts State Police, and European (French and British specifically) police... all of which use blue and white only for forward facing lights. The Suburban at 2:41 with the red light in the front was either MBTA police or Federal since it had a red light in the front grill.

@@Partyaap050 its funny, having grown up in Boston, I actually prefer the blues. Also, generally in the US, Fire and EMS use red (sometimes with some blue accents, though that is usually on the back) unlike many European and other countries that use all blue for all emergency vehicles.
