    A great video on using the bathroom unconventionally in a wheelchair; innovative. A lot is taken for granted by the general public. A lot is appreciated if you are a caregiver, a patient or impaired. Very few instructions however include how to manipulate the lower body dressing when maneuvering from a wheelchair to the toilet/commode. The same for transfers in general to a commode/toilet for those with balance, dexterity, cognitive and strength concerns. ReleaSe Pajamas is the solution to the issue of the lower body dressing manipulation. Not a cheap plug but no other way on contacting Wheelz AC. Look forward to your reply to provide more info on this product.

    Oh that's interesting. I'm planning on buying a manual wheelchair to use as a back up, so I'm gonna have to relearn a lot. My main one is a powerchair. 😅

      Me too. I've tried to figure this out for months and it can still take me half a hour of wriggling and banging into things in my tiny, supper narrow bathroom. There has to be a better way.
      Finally learning a good way to get on the toilet when your forced to face it will save me from So many accidents. I'm going to go practice and make sure the washlet controls wont block me.

    Hi! These videos are really interesting and informative. Sorry about the personalness of this question, but like how you use a catheter, you dont have to use a bag to go number 2 or anything? If you cant push what would one do if constipated?

      @WheelzAC  Před 5 lety +2

    I'm looking for a way how to get my invalid mother off the floor when she falls down. I've had to call the fire department the last three times.

    I have thought interesting your technique, however, I have a question for you. I do not know if you will feel free to answer so if you won't I will understand. My question is how do you remove the feces once you are a T5 complete paraplegic guy? I am asking because I am a T4 complete paraplegic and I was thought to stimulate my bowels through massages on the abdomen, have a diet to avoid holding it furthermore use my hands adequately protected with gloves and gel to remove it. How do you do this technique or any other in such small place once your abdomen muscles did not work anymore? In addition, the anus is hard to reach without incline completely your body which is even more complicated once your abdomen does not work and you need not only reach the anus but also put your finger inside. Another way would be taking laxatives right before, however, there is extensive medical material informing that taking laxative frequently is extremely dangerous. Anyway. You are such an inspirational guy. Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us, Take care.

      Brazil's Wheelchair Life Thank you very much!😊 I do not use any medication or laxatives, just gloves. I used to use an enema in the beginning, but I’ve learned how to do it easily without anything to help now. Maybe I’ll make a video about it.

      Thank you for the answer, yes a video with your technique would be great. Using just that space may be a challenge for everyone else.

    If you're a girl how do you take your pants down

    • @WheelzAC
      @WheelzAC  Před 6 lety +1

      Brandy Parks You have to take your pants off before you get on the toilet

    • @lifelivenow
      @lifelivenow Před 6 lety +1

      Wheelz AC I cannot move my legs at all, no lifting; and having a "girl" but I don't know how to get my pants down and up. I have been laying on my back trying to twist from one side to the other to wiggle them up. I can't use my arms as strongly as I need to, to get back into my wheel chair or into the toilet. Do you lay flat to pull off and on your pants?

  • @thewisepowerchair2369

    I cannot conceive how you would pull down your lower clothing in that position on the toilet.

    • @WheelzAC
      @WheelzAC  Před rokem

      I would never get on the toilet with my pants on.
