We talk about why podcasting is our safe space, our first hand experiences with haters, and how we deal with all this negativity in sight.
"i don't like the mindset of having to apologize for what I have because I work hard for it" i couldn't agree more. i don't like it too when people keep on hating privileged people just because of whatever issue they have.
Because people are afraid of admitting that they are making excuses. Making the privilege as an excuse. Like what Slater said.
I wish lahat ng tao sa social media may oras sa ganitong topic. I stopped paying attention to social media trends / dramas and I customized my feed na makikita ko lang is ung positive na mga tao at positive na mga post or which I think better for my mental. nkakatulong lalo na sa panahon ngaun. :) more power I love the topic

Sometimes soc med is really toxic, I actually started to lessen the use of soc med it’s really eating me!! I only sleep 4 hrs a day bcoz of soc med.

I believe this is the most difficult topic to discuss with ‘cause there are so many sides to it that need to be considered, talking with privileges, opinions, etc. but kudos because you guys were able to manage it lightly without really invalidating others. But like you guys said, if there’s no room for discussion then it’s just pure self-entitlement.

I was actually listening to skypodcast from Life is Boring to Haters gonna gate while making a floor plan. Hahaha, its more fun to listen to this rather than songs, and I can actually focus on finishing my floor plan and understanding the content of the podcast at the same time. Great! :)
I totally get how it can be frustrating to be constantly called out on things that you guys (normally) do and being told to ‘check your privileges’ all the time, and I do acknowledge the fact that you have definitely worked hard for the things that you’ve accomplished. But I hope you also see how it can be upsetting for people who work as much as you do (sometimes even harder) and still not achieve the same level of success just simply due to the fact that they weren’t born into a ‘well-off’ family with the right connections. That’s what people mean when they say ‘check your privileges’, they aren’t necessarily discounting all your effort and hard-work to get to where you are right now, they just want you to realize that you have certain advantages that average Filipinos don’t.
I don't believe "check your privileges" comes from frustration. Kapag frustrated ka na hindi ka successful or hindi ka pa successful at your age, ibig sabihin you're looking at yourself. Pero pag nag-compare ka na kagaya ng pagsasabi ng "check your privileges", ibig sabihin nun may inggit na kasi hindi ka na lang tumitingin sa sarili mo o sa career mo, kundi sa iba na. Kasi yung privilege na lang ang nakikita mo. Even if people didn't meant to discount, yun at yun lang magiging ibig sabihin nun. Baguhin mo man ang tono o hindi. Marami lang talaga na taong hindi matanggap na iba-iba ang estado na panggagalingan ng bawat tao.
@@christiantorreon6146 You didn't get her point, she didn't mention anything about being envious of others though. You don't have to be inggit to say "check your privileges" or call people out. It just means that a little recognition should be in order. People want them to recognize that they do have certain connections or right amount of money to start a business compared to most of us. While people also see that they've worked hard to be where they are right now. Their efforts have not been invalidated, that's a fact. Sometimes we just don't see other people's perspective until they point it out or until we step back and empathize with others, now it's up to us if we accept and learn from it. If indeed they acknowledge that, then I'm happy for them.

Yo Sir slater, just to add, you can use a 60fps video and edit it on a 60fps timeline and upload it also in 60fps, which is used sometimes for sports and NBA in CZcams and for streaming games to create a more realistic or smoother feel. But for vlogs, I also wouldn't use 60fps too, but I shoot in 60fps all the time and just work on a 24fps timeline so I just slow mo whenever needed, so it isnt always slow mo :) . Big fan on the skypodcast! :) marami na nabili sa shopee tulad sa kurin and tools dahil sayo hahaha

IDK why but I always listen to Skypodcast whenever I have math plates to solve. Slater's so inspiring, Kryz is such a great woman and an amazing mom to scott, and both of them has so much wisdoms on their podcast. It’s actually sad (sometimes frustrating na) that most people (at least the ones I often encounter) online choose to react instead of responding. It always stems down to people refusing to communicate and refusing to respect how others live etc.
